Buddy Hield Has Been Everything The Warriors Hoped He Would Be

What's up y'all, welcome back to Xavin Law Sports Podcast, I'm your host Isaiah. And y'all, Buddy Healed has been exactly what the Golden State Warriors needed because when the Warriors decided to let Klay Thompson walk up for agency, they needed a guy that could come in and fill his void, you know, a guy that can get them about 17 to 20 points per game. Because let's be honest y'all, even though Klay Thompson is not, you know, the Klay Thompson of four or five years ago, he's still a pretty good player. Last year he averaged 18 points, shooting about 39% from what Klay gave them last year. And y'all, so far Buddy Healed has exceeded that man, because he's averaging 21.2 points per game, which is leading the Warriors in scoring. He's shooting 50% from three. And a couple of nights ago, y'all, the Golden State Warriors, they were down by 20 points to the New Orleans Pelicans. And then the fourth quarter, Buddy Healed borrowed them all the way back because he had 19 points in the fourth quarter. He had seven threes. And y'all, he is really becoming the go-to option for the Warriors, especially with Steph Curry being out right now. And this is great because coming into the season, man, I had major question marks about how the Warriors were going to be consistently able to score the basketball when Steph was not on the floor. Well, now we know y'all, so far early on in this season, Buddy Healed looks like that guy that's going to be able to give the Warriors, you know, anywhere from 20 to 25 points per game. And he just fits this system so well. I mean, we know Buddy Healed is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, man. I mean, seriously, he is going to be one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. We know the Golden State Warriors, they love to shoot a ton of threes. So he fits what they do. But I definitely did not expect him to be playing this well. Buddy Healed is a good player. Right now, y'all, he's playing like an all-star caliber player. And if he's able to keep that up when Steph Curry comes back, I mean, this Warriors team could potentially be dangerous because I would give the Warriors this. Even though I didn't have super high expectations for them coming into the season, they do have really good depth. They've been able to use their depth. I mean, right now, Steve Curry, he's running a 12-man rotation. Now, I don't think that's sustainable. But right now, the Golden State Warriors, they've had a ton of success with that 12-man rotation. So I think that's great for them. They're able to really use their depth to their advantage. And again, y'all, you've got a guy like Buddy Healed, man, that's just lighting up right now. I mean, this is huge. I mean, look at the Golden State Warriors as a team. You know, this is a team that doesn't have a ton of scores. Like, you know, Jonathan Kamiga, he's really struggled so far. Andrew Wiggins has played pretty well. He's averaging about 20 points per game. We know Andrew Wiggins, he can be, you know, inconsistent at times. So again, if Buddy Healed can keep this up, y'all, with that man right there, y'all saw who he outfiled, Steph Curry comes back. I mean, this Warriors team can be very dangerous and they can potentially make some noise in the Western Conference. And so, yeah, y'all, I mean, again, I'm very surprised about this. But if you're a Warriors fan, you have to be very happy about this because I think most Warriors fans just hope that Buddy Healed is going to come in, get him maybe 14, 15 points per game, you know, hit about, you know, three or four threes per game and that's it. He's coming, y'all, and showing himself to be a great scorer, to be somebody that can be a very consistent player for them and be a great number two option next to Steph Curry, man. So I cannot wait to see when Steph does come back. And then hopefully, y'all, Buddy Healed is able to continue his great play because if he is, him and Steph Curry, man, it's going to be a nightmare to deal with them cats on that three-point line because they are two of the best shooters in NBA history.
