first day of uni VLOG | lectures, friends & being productive

Good morning guys. Apologies about the angle, I broke my tripod. You're just gonna get some weird angles from me until I order a new one. But it's actually the first day of uni today, which is crazy. It is currently 7.5. My first and only 9am is in the first week of school, which is kind of nice. I only have 10am from now. But I slept so well, which is nice. I have a lecture this morning, 9 till I think it's 12, and then another one from 1 until 3. So a relatively busy day for a Monday to be honest. And I'm going to take you guys along my first day. I woke up kind of late, so I wanted to do a whole like get ready with me. So I think I'll just give you guys a rundown when I'm finished with school. But I thought we could do a little daily vlog, and then I'll give you a little rundown when I'm unwinding tonight, which could be nice. I'll be pouring it down with rain, so I'm not too worried about how my hair is looking, because we have to walk to get the bus. So I'm gonna get wet anyway. I'm gonna take you along. I'm so excited to get back into a routine of getting up and getting ready and not waking up 10am and feeling sluggish. I'm excited to get into new routines and just start this new life properly. Because I think this year is going to get busy really quickly, which I'm so, so excited for. You're gonna come along with me. So I think me and the girls are leaving here in around 20 minutes. I need to make a coffee desperately. We're gonna get the bus, go to our lecture, and then our landlord's coming later today. So we're gonna come home in between our lectures, have some food, and then head back to our second lecture of the day. This is what I love about living with people on my course, is that we can just do like everything together, which is great. I love it. I'm also excited to see all the girls on my course and catch up with them, see what they've been up to over the summer. I also need to pick an outfit. I want to look cute today because it's like first day back vibes, you know? So let's pick an outfit. This is the fit I've decided on. It's just a little cardigan, a little tank, and some baggy jeans. Very cute, very just chill. It's warm but it's kind of chic still. So I think I'm just gonna put some earrings in and some jewellery. Let's accessorise it up. Also this is from Addicted and you can use my code for money off. Okay I'm gonna do a little what's in my bag because I need to pack it desperately. I'm also in a rush kind of. This is my uni bag for this year. It's just a big black leather tote. This is from Topshop off ASOS. So let's pack it together. My hair is just so frizzy today. I don't know what's happening. I am obviously packing my laptop because this is what I take the majority of my notes on. So I'm just gonna pop her in. This bag is so big. It also expands at the bottom so you can fit so much in here. It's great. Then I'm gonna take my little notepad. This is just for essentials if I want to write it down if I'm doing like group projects. That's really good. I am gonna take a portable charger just because you can never never go wrong. I'm gonna take some breakfast. I'm just gonna have a breakfast bar. I'm also gonna take two lip balms and my lip liner. Umbrella because it's pouring it down outside. I'm gonna take normal headphones as well as my AirPods because they connect to my laptop. And then last but not least my water bottle. That is everything that's in my uni bag so far this year. I assume it's gonna get much heavier although it's really heavy already. I am also gonna quickly make... I'm also packing my pencil case. That's just kind of a given. I'm also gonna make a little coffee to go in my coffee cup because I need one for the journey. I think that's all I need to bring right? I'm like overthinking what I need to bring to uni. Okay I'm also just gonna spray some Marc Jacobs because it's super fresh. And that's the vibe of today. Oh yeah let's go make the coffee. I'm in a rush. I hate being in a rush. I'm kind of wearing the same thing but opposite way around. This seems to happen a lot. Yeah. So where's your outfit from? Motel, Walmart. We're doing hair checks. Sorry. This is so cute. So cute. This is my mum's and I'm wearing a cold white t-shirt. Ready to take on the first day of uni. Yay! First lecture is complete. Me and the girls just came home, had some lunch and we'll even in about 20 minutes go to our second lecture. But I just came home to a Princess Polly parcel. And this is not an ad but let me show you some of the bits that I've got because they are so cute. Okay I'm not going to show you everything that I got because there's quite a few bits here but I'm I picked up this yellow cardigan. Are you kidding? Are you kidding? So beautiful. On the theme of cardigans I also picked up this blue one which I am obsessed with blue at the minute. As you can tell like any powder blue I'm just loving. I picked up this. On the theme of blue I also picked up this little tank top. It is such good quality but I also feel like this kind of shade of blue goes better with silver jewelry. So I picked up a couple of silver bangles, silver hoops and some rings because I just thought you can't really go wrong actually. These rings could look really cute with what I'm wearing today. So we could try these on. I also picked up just some basics like a little shirt, some jeans. I'm yet to try everything on so I'll show you when I get home after my next lecture because I have to leave relatively soon. Overall first lecture was pretty good. We got a lot of, we got given a lot of information. It will only fit on my first fingers because I have such like, I have such scrawny fingers and nothing ever fits on them but yeah overall first lecture was good. Just like getting introduced on like some of the projects we're going to be doing this year so overall just really excited. It is now 10 past 12 and we're leaving around half 12 so I'm just going to pack my bag. I also forgot my student ID so I couldn't sign into my lecture which is really annoying so I'm going to do that now and see you at our second lecture. Peace out. Okay sorry about how horrific I look right now. Oh my god this is not okay. My lip liner. Awful. Criminal. Put me in jail but I thought I'd give you a little rundown of my day because it's now like 11 o'clock I think. I mean the girls are gonna have some dinner. I am so ready for this year of uni. I'm so excited to get into my routine. I don't know just I'm ready to work hard and wake up every day and have something to do that's stimulating and like making me be creative and feel inspired and I'm so here for it. I've got a really nice timetable this year. I'm off on Wednesdays and Thursdays and tomorrow I'm only in 2-4 so I get a light in which is amazing but overall it was such a good day. It feels so good to be back into the swing of things. It feels like I've actually done something with my day. I've been shopping, been to two lectures, come back, filmed hauls. Like I've been so productive today and it makes me feel so good. The difference it feels when you're like doing something stimulating rather than just sitting in your bed and just like not doing anything. It's crazy how much it affects your mental health. So yeah today's been a whirlwind of emotions. I got some more bad news but overall it's been like a good day so like I'm not even like thinking about it too much. I've got a nice week. I'm actually gonna do a weekly vlog so you're literally gonna see me at the end of this week anyway so don't worry. Your first weekly vlog of uni work is coming. Also comment what videos you want to see, morning routines etc because I want to get into a good morning routine, get into some healthy habits and I've also got loads of like new skincare and makeup to try so but overall it's been such a good day and I'm so ready for tomorrow. I do have a bit of studying to do tonight actually so I might do that now. Yeah I might do that now. I might do that now. I gotta do that now. So this, I like to do my homework not online. I feel like it's more, I don't know, I feel like I can write more ideas down when I write it down so I'm gonna do all my, I do all my homework notes in this book and then I write my notes from my lectures on my laptop because I'm very fussy about the way I do things for uni because it has to be organised. I'm an organised freak so if you want to know how I organise everything and how I keep everything concise and in files and stuff I can always do that but I like to do my homework on here because I can give me, I can be messy, I can write like initial ideas down. So for my homework today I've just got to do a research task, I've got to do a reading and write notes on it so I'm gonna do that now.
