this moment is for because this is the last celebration of all celebrations we've seen we saw this team clinch the division here at Dodgers Stadium they won the division series here at Dodgers Stadium they clinched the National League penet at Dodgers stadium and yeah it would have been cool to see them win it tonight World Series but this is awesome they celebrated at Yankee Stadium and now they get to party with the city of Los Angeles today and what do we see right there on top we see the the owners the owners of the Dodgers that have come in and have made a commitment that we have seen year after year to and the focus to bring a parade year after year here they are getting the parade but and guess what this isn't the last one they want they are committed to continue bringing this and that commitment I was on that 13 team when Magic Johnson came down and addressed the entire team in that club off said listen we're not just committed this year we're committed going forward and play and this is the last thing that I I wanted in my career and here we are celebrating with the fans and this is loud right here you believed in yourself when you signed with the Dodgers do you feel like the game rewarded you yeah I think uh I got a little more than I was expecting but it's been a hell of a year and I'm happy to be part of this hopefully we can run it back next year yeah hopefully enjoy the parade we love you thank you me too I'm here with NLCS MVP and his teammates keep calling him the MVP Eli Eli's here too he wants to be a broadcaster you have any questions for I've loved every moment of it congratulations Tommy and you deserve all of this you've been such a big part of this team ever since you joined it and man you are a world champion World champs baby thank you I appreciate it you and Eli let's go Eli Eli you have anything to say to your fans Eli no he's good Freddy how amazing is to spray all these fans for you guys yeah this is incredible La really showed out today can you believe just not about 36 hours ago you became a two-time World Series champion and now you're celebrating this moment I no it's hard to believe really I hasn't sunk in yet but I think this is made up for 2022 these fans are going crazy and this is fun to be a part of when you think about celebrating some with all these guys what does it mean to you and how special is this group yeah it means a lot um this is all for the fans though because you know on those Tuesdays in June there's still 53,000 people at Dodger Stadium and this is what it's all about and they came out and support us and these group of guys this is this is this is special this is a long year for so many reasons to be here to celebrate with your family these guys can you believe it uh it's hard to even put into words uh Max was over here having a blast Charlie's throwing things right here um it's been a long year but everybody's health on our bus and this makes everything so much better enjoy all of these moments I know Southern California kid getting into this in La it's got to be special I know this is amazing being from Southern California and seeing a parade like this this is even better congratulations Freddy thank you you are a world champion what has this parade meant to you [Applause] I'm totally overwhelmed with the amount of fans who are here it's incredible what have you thought when you've seen all these fans did you know did you know how much you meant to this city [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] it's been an incredible year I'm so happy that I was able to contribute uh the fans and everybody has been so welcoming did you ever think about taking your shirt off like Kik no never congratulations you're pleasure to watch play the respect you have and how about your guy right here teoscar show do something show do something world Champion show he Otani and the Heart and Soul right there tasa Hernandez hermano since media day [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you for making all this happen this is special um this is uh what you set out to do every spring training and to see everyone come out I mean it's like a May 22nd on a Tuesday night and there's 53,000 people on these stands every night so I can't thank everyone enough it's been a special year and I can't wait to get going again already next year oh Freddy I love it Freddy you are one of the most humble Superstars I have ever met you sacrificed a lot for your team not only your ankle but we find out your in costal strain as well yeah I try to keep that one on the down low I just didn't want anybody to really know that I had a quite a few injuries going on but uh yeah I sacrificed a lot um there was a lot of conversation with my family during uh during these playoffs I should play or not but obviously said I said I'm going to do everything I can to be out there and I'm so glad I did this this means everything Freddy if you turn around that's where your walk-off Grand Slam landed can you in take it in now can you enjoy what you accomplished uh I think when I get home after this I think I'll sit down and kind of think about what all that's uh transpired in the last week and a half um I just know that I'm glad it landed in those seats and what a great postseason that I was able to accomplish in the World Series um I'm glad I got H at the right time huh oh yeah you know once this is over you go back to Daddy Day Curry fulltime I know I was already doing it on the parade I was holding Max the whole time but I I look forward to that I think anybody that knows me uh I can't wait to do that so uh I'll take a couple days off and then I'll start working out here in about 3 or 4 days and get ready to go I think you got 56 million people in La that would shag for you wherever you need a I appreciate that this is this is one of the greatest days of my life so thank you do thank you City of La and thank you do your fans all over the world I appreciate you guys very much Freddy Freeman the most inspirational player in the postseason Bar None forever in Dodger history they're one of the greatest people you ever find man parade put it to words how special was that awesome uh everything we expect that and more way four years had to win two of these to get one but worth the wa and your speech I got to give it to you that was one incredible speech black out for a couple minutes but you know what these people love me and I had to show it back somehow help this team win a World Series and I think they said I I did a good job on the mic so I'm satisfied you said it these fans love you but what does that mean to you to have such support from Dodgers Nation to be in Dodger blue and to be a champion again in dodger blue it means everything to me I mean coming in here as a 23-year-old in 2015 and these people from the very first day welcoming me with open arms and just giving me unconditional love throughout the years and I went away for a couple of years I came back and they still love me the same way or even more and I always said I don't know how to repay these people and as I was sitting at home you know in spring training and games were going on and I'm still I still didn't have a job all the conversations with Andrew and Gomer were about you know we want to bring you back we need you in October and I said you know what if I end up going back there the best way to repay these fans for everything for all the love they've given me throughout all these years is helping this team win a championship and we did that this year things looked a little bit different for your family though 2020 your wife was pregnant 2024 your daughter is here how special is sharing these moments with them I mean it's it's amazing uh I guess before Penelope we lost to World Series and post Penelope we're 2 and0 so maybe she's a good luck charm I love it Kik congratulations thank you very much I might have lost for words this whole thing man it's been uh for the boys for the people it's been a long time hasn't it so long kers and uh I'm so I mean I've been with you guys since 2012 we've been through some sat lights we've been through it huh we've been through it we put the we put all these fans through it I get it it but man for them to show out the way they did today uh I'll remember that for the rest of my life and I couldn't be more proud to be a Dodger today um and I'm so thankful that I'm going to get to retire with the Dodger jersey on my back whenever that day comes not soon but whenever that day comes when you do I do all right yep you're already here first guys when vas goes I go vice versa so but honestly thank you thank you to every fan out there thank you to everybody that showed out today all 2 million plus of everybody and the parade was something that I remember for the rest of my life being able to talk in front of all you fans today was uh amazing this group of guys it's just uh makes baseball worth it you know makes it worth it did you know how much you meant to this city before today it meant a lot to me so I'm I'm thankful for that I I don't know about all that stuff but I'm I'm very thankful for today thank you guys well I'm going to do what the city is doing for Kershaw I'm going to wrap my arms around Kershaw all right we love you Kershaw I love you hey what a day two time Champs what a day two time two time World Series champs Clayton Kershaw team cuz you all are truly now World Series champions but when you think about the challenges you all experien the up and downs to be at this moment what does that feel like makes it even sweeter you know we we went through a whole lot lot this year we dealt a lot of injuries stuff off the field uh just you know things not going how we wanted them to go and be able to persever through it all it was and then on top of that to win it in the way we did in that game five it's it's incredible has it said in just yet that you are a two-time World Series champion it sounds sounds pretty good sounds pretty good definitely can't complain about that congratulations Max thank you thank yougest supporter of for you and the one of the biggest Dodger fans is your mom you know when you won the World Series fin what did your mom say to you she just gave me a big hug you're going make me cry I'm sorry you're going to make me cry good it was it was unbelievable she gave me she just gave me a big hug and uh my brother did the same thing and I I like I have no words it was it was so special just to be able to give them a hug everything was I I can't imagine it as soon as we get Clayton plugged in and he can hear us he deserves to hold that Trophy and what a moment this is I mean we've got a lot of fans still sitting standing in front of us right now chanting for Clayton they're chanting for teao and Clayton hopefully you can hear me right now you got us Clayton can you hear them need to push it in a little you got okay so Clayton's got us y you got it there we go now he's got to hold the trophy the M 17 years in the big leagues Clayton and the first time you finally get to have the parade with the city of Los Angeles hoisting that trophy for the second time it was so cool for me to see as a fan the emotion that you were feeling all day today how do you describe it yeah I mean it I don't know how to describe it's the best best baseball moment of my life you know you think winning these things that's in itself pretty cool but then to get to see um that many Dodger fans out there over 2 million people come out and celebrate you just realize how much how much this thing how much the Dodgers mean to this city um and I don't think you know I know how much it meant to me but to be able I didn't realize how much I needed this parade I needed this thing you know I needed it I wanted to I wanted to feel it cuz we've been through some stuff you know we've been through it we've been here a long time I've been through it these fans have been through it so to be able to finally get to cele great and get to see everybody out here and um you know I I didn't have a whole lot to do with this one in 2024 so to be able to I didn't think I was going to get the mic I didn't think I was going to be I didn't know what was going to happen so I'm so grateful for my teammates and Doc to let me speak and um I I'll remember this day for the rest of my life not not only did you need it you deserved it you deserve listen I've been your teammate I got a chance to face you you've worked so hard and when I I remember being your teammate you went through four or five dominant starts you had one hiccup we're in 2012 and I wanted to see how you would react the very next day you were the first guy at the field I remember we're in San Diego you were doing polls and you worked your butt off running and you got back in that W room and I went to my teammates I'm like dude this guy works out like a maniac he needs to calm down we need to save you remember we need to save you from yourself because fans don't realize how hard you worked every single year so not only did you need need this celebration you deserved it bro and these fans appreciate your hard work and when you've met to this city and this franchise thank you man you know those uh those individual awards are special but I know you're you know already and you will know in the future that the most special things to win are the things as a team not as an individual and you going to the Hall of Fame because of individual effort but you're also going to go because team effort yeah I can't I can't wait for the reunions every year and or I'm sure you know and I just I I can't we're we're etched in history you know and that's um we get to see everybody every 10 years for the rest of our lives and uh it's like a high school reunion except we actually did something cool you know it's pretty great so um and it really is a special group of guys man and like you saw what Walker did to close out the game um you saw what Freddy did all postseason you saw what shoh did it's just like there was fight you know we just fought and fought and the these guys fought and um I I just I'm really thankful to be a Dodger today I really am IID want to scare you but you and I were teammates too that's right that's right that's right I was there I was there when I F I saw the youngest Kershaw coming up and getting ready to go out there and have a Hall of Fame career which is unbelievable but you know you were saying that you don't feel like you're as much part of it and had much to do with this one but that's not true because I know you you're such a team guy that you're also recognize all the guys that may not be here that actually got you through you know when you look at you know even Gavin Stone who unfortunately has an injury but you look at River Ryan you look at all these other guys that no matter what you know this is I know it's a World Series but it's a championship season so and what do all those other guys mean and at the same time don't sell yourself short yeah you said it I mean Stony Stony had an unbelievable year for us picked up big Innings glass now River Ryan I just the down the list of the pitchers that got hurt and then uh it's on the other side all the guys that picked us up you know all the other guys it kept going and there's just that next man mentality and Freddy got hurt mooki hurt himself for a few months broke his hand so just like it it never really felt like we were not going to win a game you know we just and then you know doc was a big part of that too doc helped us out and so like I said there's a million there's so much talent on this team and everybody says big payroll big this big that well the Yankees had the same thing the Mets had the same thing the Phillies had the same thing and we won so there's something different about us and you're coming back right I'm back I'm back I uh I can't leave yet I I got to get some stuff fixed I got to I got to get some surgeries on my foot and my knee but uh after that I'll be back and um one run it back one more time go well Dodger fans love to hear that that's another gift aside from this gift that's another gift you're giving them so Clayton I was hearing in my ear just as you were talking about that I guess someone tweeted out one of the reporters that you're going to have two surgeries on Wednesday yeah getting surgery on Wednesday um I couldn't be on crutches for this you know I could have done this a long time ago but could you imagine being in Yankee Stadium on crutches where in the World Series and doing all the parade in the crutches so uh yeah I'm going to wait I got it on Wednesday and um I got some stuff going on my foot to need fixed I need to have a torn meniscus in my knee but um all to say all that stuff will be fine by next season and I'll be good to go that'll be great for year number 18 and just picking up on what Nar was saying how you feel like you didn't have anything to do with this we talked to some of your teammates throughout the season and so many guys talk about how they are inspired by you just watching the way that you work the way you prepare so you might sit here and say yeah I didn't have a whole lot to do with it but I know that all your teammates would completely disagree yep we've got a great group I'm really thankful I got to be a part of it and um that I I appreciate everybody saying that it does cuz those guys we spend eight months every day 12 hours a day eight months out of the year with that group so really you know we care about our wives opinion and we then we care about our our teammates cuz they know us better than almost everybody so I'm I'm very grateful for those words I know we're up against it and K you talk about your teammates we have two minutes to go we got tasar Hernandez how big has tasar been to this team oh it's been we needed every minute of Tao he's been unbelievable for us he got big hit after big hit and um played every single day you talk about those guys getting hurt well Tao was out there every day man Day game night game he was out there playing so we needed him we needed him want to ask one question the emotion that you showed the fans giving you an epic Ovation talk about the emotion you shared with the fans man it was uh it was a lot to handle it honestly uh I never had that in my career uh and coming here one year make this happen and and the fans showing me that love it was incredible it was amazing and I'm not going to forget that moment that that's going to in my in my life in my heart and my mind for the rest of my life T Oscar did you hear the fans what they were chanting yeah and they doing it they trying hard I'm going to try hard to come back uh you got to come back and do this again yeah well the fans were CH we were chanting so everybody knows that I want to be part of this uh for many more years and it's not a secret for anybody so uh I'm going to be more than welcome to come back and grateful and really happy well the fans love you I know your teammates love you congratulations you are World Series champion champion baby nobody will take you take itton congratulations tcar Hernandez congratulations Home Run Derby champ World Series champ in your first year hopefully we get to see you opening day getting that ring in a Dodger uniform
