The Dodgers acquired Edman via trade from the Cardinals at the 2024 trade deadline. At that point, Edman had not played a regular season game in 2024 after a couple of injuries prior (wrist and ankle). Once he got back on the field, the Dodgers utilized his versatility and became a necessary bat to the lineup, the NLCS MVP, and most importantly a World Series Champ.
