During the reign of King Henry VIII, there were many executions that shocked the English people, but one of the most ruthless was that of Bishop John Fisher. Fisher was a well respected man who lost his head on Tower Hill by axe, but following his death his remains were subjected to a shocking ordeal. His head was taken to London Bridge and was placed high above the gatehouse to act as a warning.
