It's 2023 and you want to take control of your life
and your camera by learning full manual photography.
Hey, what's up guys?
I'm Chris Lackenbach and in this short YouTube series,
I'm going to show you everything you need to know
about manual settings on your camera.
And it doesn't matter what kind of camera you shoot with,
whether it's a full frame camera like this,
or even a drone.
If it can change to manual settings,
I can show you how to use it for the best picture
for the scenario that you're in.
For those of you new to my YouTube channel,
I'm Chris Lackenbach or on social media
known as ChrisLuckPhoto.
I'm a photographer and videographer here in Alaska.
And I pride myself in wildlife and nature photography.
For the next few weeks, once a week,
I'm going to release a video explaining in detail
what each of the settings do,
such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO.
We'll get into some composition and light room tips.
I'll explain how I choose all of my settings
for the situation I'm in.
And then I'll show photo examples of my work
and explain the settings in each photo.
Now, if you're wondering what kind of camera I use,
I am a Canon photographer.
This one in particular is the Canon R5.
If that's what you're using,
then you'll have no problem following along
on this journey with me.
But if you are a Nikon or any other kind of photographer,
Sony, Pentax, Olympus, whatever you are,
you have to learn your own camera.
So you'll have to do a little homework,
figure out what buttons do what.
And then from there, you'll be able to follow along
a lot easier, understanding your camera
and choosing the settings for your photos.
If you're looking to get sharper wildlife photos,
nice, bright, sharp stars in the night sky,
or perhaps you just want to go to the beach
and smooth out waves with a long exposure photo.
By the end of this series,
you'll be able to use your camera with full manual settings,
go into any scenario and be confident
in what you want to photograph.
Take those photos from your camera,
bring them in the Lightroom, we'll edit them for you.
And then you'll be able to export them
and post them online to social media,
or perhaps submit them into some competitions.
Like I said, I'll be uploading one video per week.
So I recommend that you subscribe to my channel,
hit the notification icon so you don't miss a video.
In the meantime, if you want to get to know me a little more,
check out this video right here.
We'll talk about using the most expensive
and the best wildlife lens you can use for your photography.
I'll catch you in episode one.
