I should tell you that I have six dogs, three cats, two sugar gliders, a serval cat, a Siberian
lynx, 23 trained rats, two horses, and a donkey.
I'm single.
I've been, you know, doing some older women things, like trying to needlepoint and stuff
like that.
And I'm learning a lot with my friends at the library.
But I have not figured out that internet.
But I did learn a few things, like you should never start a Google search with the first
two words, nine inches.
No, that predictive text takes over.
It didn't even know me and it decided what I was going to say next.
And now I have seen things that I cannot unsee.
It follows you around, ads change, and then like the other day on Facebook, there was
this ad for an adult coloring book.
Now listen, I'm an innocent person, and I like to color.
So I clicked on it.
You don't want to color that.
I almost wasn't single anymore.
How do you feel right now?
A little overwhelmed.
You're very, very likable, I have to say.
And made us laugh.
You were very, very funny.
Thank you.
It's your freshness.
I love that you're not that experienced.
You're genuine.
You're authentic.
You really are likable.
I agree.
And your material is your everyday life.
You were so funny.
I mean, I know you're nervous, but you felt at ease.
And you felt like we know you from somewhere.
You feel like a nice friend that you would have a great time.
I really liked it.
You know what?
You're real.
And that's what makes it so funny.
I thought you were going to be really sweet.
After all the animal stories, and then you talk about you know what.
Corky, I'm going to kick this voting off with a yes.
Thank you.
Second yes.
You just got yourself four yeses.
That moment, I started getting calls, doing shows nonstop.
I love you, man.
So I promised myself if I ever win a Golden Buzzer,
I am going to pick up the confetti from the stage
and then ship a confetti to everybody that has helped me in my career.
A piece of confetti to Alisa.
To my friend Simba.
To my mom.
I am so grateful.
To my grandpa.
Thank you for always believing in me.
It's Lenmo.
Golden boy.
He is now on the top of the world.
The person that really inspired me to become a comedian I am today
is my grandfather.
I remember this particular day my grandfather was stressed
on where he's going to get money to buy food.
And then he turned on this small black and white TV
and it was comedy.
And he started laughing.
So I fell in love with that.
And I was like to myself,
I want to make people feel the same way.
To prepare for tonight's show,
I've been doing shows all over America
and I spoke to Preacher Lawson and Mike Winfield.
Any advice for me?
Don't lose.
I want to be the first comedian to win America's Got Talent.
The next letter I mail to my grandfather
is going to have money in it.
I'm so excited to be here.
I got some good news for you.
I just got my green card, everybody.
I found myself becoming so American after that.
Yeah.
Yeah, like I even have an allergy now.
Yeah, I now have a gluten allergy.
It came with the green card, okay?
They actually made me choose between a gluten allergy
and anxiety.
I was like, give me both, okay?
They sound nice.
Because where I come from,
having an allergy is for the wealthy, okay?
You know, yeah, it's a sign that you can afford it, okay?
Yeah.
I told my cousin I was allergic to gluten.
He was like, congratulations.
I'm so happy for you.
Wow!
He doesn't get it.
I was like to my grandfather,
Grandpa, I'm now allergic to gluten.
My grandfather was like,
I have always known that you are gay.
I was like, wait, what?
I'm not gay.
My aunt was like, it's okay, Len Mao.
Just know that in college,
I was also a little bit gluten-free myself.
It's your food.
I think your food is too complicated for me.
Because the other day, I bought chicken.
On the box of the chicken, it was listed
skinless, boneless, sliced, marinated,
pre-cooked, microwave-ready chicken.
How lazy are you, Americans?
It's ridiculous.
Because from eating chicken,
it's a four-day operation.
Yeah, because you have to catch it first, okay?
And the chicken does not trust anyone.
It's also because I'm like,
this is why I'm skinny,
because I've been catching my own chicken.
Yeah, look at some of you Americans.
I can tell none of you have ever
caught your own chicken.
I'm just saying.
But I'm gonna leave you with this.
You see, many people always ask me,
is Len Mao your real name?
Is Len Mao your real name?
Yes, because Zimbabweans, we believe
if you give your child a name,
they will become what you named them.
So my name is Len Mao.
I love learning new things.
My mother's name is Memory.
She never forgets.
Yeah, my father's name is Absinthe.
I'm joking.
His name is John, okay?
Yeah, John Doe.
I don't know him.
Comedy is so joyful.
Thank you.
And relatable.
And you are,
you're so beautiful to look at.
Thank you very much.
I think people are gonna love you tonight
because I loved you.
Thank you.
I love you too.
Yeah, I think, honestly,
you are one of the best contestants,
acts, human beings,
whatever you want to call it.
There's something about you
when you perform,
which is we all feel
that we really know you,
you know?
And the more that we see,
the more...
But, yeah,
and that, I think,
is your appeal.
You're just a naturally funny person.
Thank you.
I think what you do is unique.
It's memorable.
And I think you've got
a real career ahead of you.
I don't want to just say it.
It sounds like a cliche,
but I really do believe that.
Better than anybody.
I know what I like
and I know what the world is loving.
They're loving you.
You are so likable.
You are so physical.
And I want to understand,
to be able to come
from another country,
a whole other culture,
and touch the funny bone
of everybody
in a totally different country
of every age
is magic.
And you, sir,
are magic.
Thank you.
You really light up the stage.
You made us all laugh.
Thank you so much.
You were fantastic.
Bravo!
Oh, my God.
That was genius.
Hard it is,
but I really, really think
that you deserve this.
That was the most fun thing
we've had all week!
Thank you, Sofia.
Thank you.
Thank you, Jira.
What we do looks like fun,
but it matters to us
because we want to
make our family proud.
Let me introduce my family.
Here we go.
My cat.
Cute.
My wife is a little embarrassed
on my performance.
She is very shy,
but very cute.
We met 20 years ago
at school.
I was studying engineering.
And I was studying economics.
But not fun!
We started a duo
and Schumacher was born.
Since then,
he's the best friend
of my life.
I thought
we cannot get Gaugen-Berger,
but we did!
We always dreamed
of being famous.
That's why
we are here.
And now
we want to win
AGT!
Today's performance,
I am on top.
No!
Me!
No!
You are dumb!
No!
Look at the pride.
Look at the look of pride
on Sofia's face.
We can't see you.
Those are my people.
I don't care
what Simon says.
I stand by you.
I would give you
another that was
unique, fun.
This is what
AGT is all about.
I've never seen
an act like this.
I love it!
Simon, is this
what AGT...
No.
It was...
It was funny
the first time.
I thought
it would evolve
into something
great.
It didn't.
Because
I think
anyone
could do that.
Heidi,
you're laughing.
Well,
because it's so bad
No!
that it...
You know what?
They're missing the point.
I think the message
No, it's so bad
that it's good.
was friendship.
I think you have to
be a real friend
to put your face
in another man's
centaur.
That's true.
Oh, they were chanting
my name, bro.
Hearing that chant,
I could see
my whole journey.
From the
first day
I remember
my grandfather
gave me money
for bus fare
to travel from
Chimanimani
to the big city
Harare
to try out comedy.
It was...
It was horrible.
Like, it was so bad
a guy threw
a chair on stage.
But I went back
to that same stage
every single night.
One day,
I made one person
laugh
in the audience
at the corner there.
He was like,
Ha!
I was like,
Yes!
I learned
I was never
gonna let anything
stop me
from just
achieving my dream.
That's what I do.
I learn more.
When Zimbabweans
give their kids names,
we believe that
if you give
that child a name,
they'll become
the exact thing
that you named them.
I learned how
to speak English
through comedy.
Watching Richard Pryor,
you know,
Eddie Murphy.
Being on
America's Got Talent,
I've learned
how to perform
on a family show.
Usually I perform
in comedy clubs
where there's no rules.
This is a family show,
so I learned
how to make
American families laugh.
I've always wanted
to be a global comedian.
No matter
who you are,
where you come from,
I've always
wanted to make
you laugh.
My whole life,
I've been learning
different lessons.
And I think
tonight,
I'm going to learn
how to be
a millionaire!
Ha ha!
I cannot wait!
Here's
Learn More Janassi!
Oh, man!
It's so nice
to be back, man.
First of all,
I think
moving to America
was the best decision
I've ever made
in my life.
Yeah!
Honestly, man,
I don't want to lie, though.
It was scary at first.
It was so scary,
because as soon as
I arrived
at JFK Airport,
they kept announcing,
if you see
anything suspicious,
say something!
Every second,
if you see
anything suspicious,
say something!
So now,
I was walking around
looking for
something suspicious
without realizing
that I was
now suspicious!
I was like,
hey!
You look suspicious!
I was like,
you too!
We should
say something!
They searched
my bag.
They took
a bottle of lotion
from my bag.
They were like,
sir,
this is not
allowed.
What am I going to do
with a bottle of lotion?
Imagine being like,
alright,
everybody,
get down!
Down or else!
Man,
it was so scary,
man,
coming to America,
far away from
everybody that loves me,
man.
My grandparents,
they love me.
But here's the thing
about African parents,
they will never say
I love you.
It's actually taboo.
Americans,
you guys say it
all the time.
I love you!
Then a kiss.
And that is
just to your dogs,
okay?
It's ridiculous,
man.
Africans,
we show you
how much we love you,
you know,
by doing things for you.
My grandmother
loves me so much,
she always catches
and prepares chicken
for me all the time.
Listen,
my grandmother loves me
that chickens panic
when I show up
in my village,
okay?
Every time I show up,
she's like,
I've never seen
an old chicken
crossing the road,
okay?
But it's so tough,
man,
coming to America
because I'm trying
to date in this country.
It's tough.
Honestly,
because women
just want to break up
with me because
of stupid things.
Like the other day,
I was dating this girl,
she broke up with me
because of my lazy eye.
Yeah,
she's like,
Lenmore,
I want you to look
at me straight in my eyes
and tell me
how much you love me.
I love you!
Why are you looking
over there?
I'm like,
baby,
I swear my right eye
was looking at you.
And my left eye
was looking
for you,
okay?
Yeah,
so she left
because we didn't
see eye to eye,
if you know what I mean.
That's what happened.
Thank you very much.
My name is Lenmore.
I appreciate you guys.
Comedians of all time
since I've been here
on AGT.
I love you.
Everybody loves you.
Thank you so much.
Love tonight.
Thank you,
yes.
Howie!
You know,
first of all,
you've been working
really hard.
I'm amazed by you.
You deserve to be here.
I would love to see
a comedian win.
Thank you.
You said that
the first time you went on stage
you got that laugh.
Yes.
And laughter is like a drug.
Yes.
And tonight,
you are our pharmacist.
Yes.
You are like
a cartoon character
come to life.
You really am.
And look at both of you.
Thank you.
And...
Simon.
You are brilliant.
I mean,
you're clever,
you're smart,
and you make fun
of all the things
we think are normal.
And that's what
makes you unique.
Thank you.
And there was a buzz
in here
before you even started.
And I loved
what you said
in your film
about families
and comedy.
It's so important.
And I absolutely
adore you.
Not as an act.
Just as an act.
But as a person.
You're such a nice person.
Thank you.
