The German Heckler & Koch submachine gun MP5A3.
This is a lightweight and miniaturized submachine gun
based on the H&K's highly reliable assault rifle the G3.
The MP5 uses the G3 mechanism with a roller-delayed blowback system,
giving it a super low recoil when shooting.
Highly proven in terms of accuracy and usability,
using in Germany by the GSG9 and the SEK.
This is also used by the Polizei in the United States and the British SAS.
We recommend the best application of this is to crash parties in the Nakatomi Plaza.
The MP5.
I never actually thought I would shoot one when I was a young boy in Hong Kong and
much less I never thought I would own one on top of that.
It is an old system, yes.
A lot of people say it's an old system and it's an outdated system.
I would argue that it is a predictable system.
It's broken a lot of rules for the SMG world.
It's become the symbol towards the next generation SMG from where it was.
Quite frankly, people will say that it's outdated.
There's better options out there.
They would argue, some would argue saying that it's got this pedigree behind it.
Wow, look at its legacy.
Legacy does not mean it's good.
However, the MP5 is reliable.
It's predictable.
You know how it will perform.
It's well documented on how it will perform with the past 60 years of counterterrorism
and all sorts of law enforcement work that this particular system has been done.
There are stacks and stacks and stacks of operational reports and people talking about
how to optimize the weapons handling and there's actually been relatively little change to
the deployment of the MP5.
When you're saying X submachine gun versus the MP5, why would you choose the MP5 over
whatever X new product is?
I would say it's because of those years of experience and being able to predict a weapon
system for the unpredictable circumstances that come about in mission and duty or whatever
and having that one comfort that this submachine gun will not only perform but you have had
all this experience and mentorship behind it to guarantee that you have the best foot
in whatever crap situation you're stuck in holding this particular firearm.
That itself is worth its weight in gold and that's why the MP5 is still irreplaceable.
Sorry MPX.
