Thousands of Spiders 'the Size of a Human Hand' Released Across UK | PHJ

Thousands of giant spiders, each "the size of a human hand," are now roaming the United Kingdom after being released by Chester Zoo as part of a conservation initiative. These spiders, known as fen raft spiders, were bred in test tubes. The zoo reported, "Ten years ago, we helped release thousands of giant spiders back into the UK!" With the mating season underway, more than 10,000 breeding females have been recorded, marking this as the best year on record for the species.
