Edge Server Computing Demystified: IT Admins and the Network Revolution

Edge Servers are general-purpose servers designed for harsh environments, capable of running systems disconnected from the network. They are servers designed for extreme temperature, military-grade, or NEBS Level 3 compliant type servers that have compute power and features needed outside the typical IT environment. Factories running vision inspections, medical surgical suites, 5G antenna systems, broadband virtual environments that can hang outside on a pole or on the wall unattended. Putting computational power wherever it is needed.
