Italy is wonderful

Welcome to the channel. In today's video, it's a little bit different. As you can see, I'm not in
the UK and there's no food in front of me either but I'm currently in Positano, Italy. I don't know
why I'm starting so formally. Welcome to my channel. But no, basically in today's video,
I thought it'd be kind of fun to show you guys a little bit of what I get to see. So it's going
to be a little bit different to our usual videos. So there's not going to be food reviews, there
will be some food in there and it's not going to be a guide. However, I'm still going to show you
some of the places that you should definitely visit. So if you want to see sort of the scenic
side of Italy, I'm going to try and do my best to make content around that. So I want to do sort of
stills and views of really awesome stuff like that. So if you like this sort of content after watching
it, drop a like, let me know, drop a comment. I'll do my best to do more of these because I really
really enjoy this sort of stuff. So yeah, let's go. This is my first full day in Italy going to
Positano which is an absolutely beautiful coastal town along the Amalfi coast. I highly recommend
getting the ferry to Positano as you get this absolutely stunning view from the water.
As you can see behind me, Positano is a ride. We're at like a little bar at the end
just to get some coffees essentially. Honestly, the views here
are really really nice. The journey here was really easy from Sorrento,
just jump straight to the ferry. It was like 50 minutes and honestly I'm super excited to explore
Positano. Positano is incredibly picturesque with beautiful views of cliffs and colourful
buildings everywhere. Because it is a vertical town, I highly recommend walking to the top
to get more stunning views like this. Compulsory when you are in Italy,
it doesn't matter where you are in Italy, you need to make sure you have pizza, especially
a margherita pizza. Whilst there's not many activities to do here, you can just take your
time exploring all the small windy streets, taking in the views and of course eating lots of yummy
food. And mango please. So yeah, I've gotten myself some ice cream just because, you know what,
when you're in Italy, you definitely definitely need to get some gelato. This is a little bit
different, I actually got some fruit with it this time which I don't normally get. It's
absolutely banging. That is absolutely hitting the spot. The locals here love cats and you may
be lucky enough to see a few whilst you're exploring. Anytime I see a cat, I'm going to
stop. Especially a cat like that, that's very socialised and loves pets. Honestly, the views
here are absolutely beautiful. I cannot stop stopping anywhere I go just to soak it all in.
I'm going to go and try and find a cafe now, grab some coffee. I'm super tired and hopefully
go to a restaurant later with also a really nice view. Honestly, there's so many pretty alleyways,
so many pretty views here. It's really hard not to take shots of everything.
You kind of get stopped for a few seconds because you're like wow, this looks amazing. So Amalfi
Coast has to be a place you visit if you are travelling Italy or if you're visiting Sorrento
which is about 40 minutes on the ferry to here. There are other ferries, some are slower, some
are faster. We got a faster one and just spend a day here. It's just so nice. So yeah, definitely
recommend this place. I'm absolutely loving it. And now I'm heading to my dinner reservation
inside Hotel Poseidon. This is one of Positano's top rated restaurants and it's easy to see why
with this absolutely amazing view. After finishing our meal, we watched the sunset from the restaurant.
Positano at night time is beautiful to see and you don't want to miss it.
So earlier you've just seen Amalfi Coast's absolutely beautiful view. Today, I'm in Capri.
I actually got the boat, the ferry from the same spot as I did for Amalfi Coast. However,
this one is only about 20 minutes journey, 25 minutes journey and they go more frequently.
I'll do my best to show this later on to show you how to get onto that transport. So stick around
if you want to see how to get to these islands and we'll do my best to show you guys that part.
But similar to Amalfi Coast, I'm going to be spending most of the video hopefully
showing you the beautiful views. Try my best to show it the way I get to see it so there'll be
less of me talking and more of the views. So let's go. I got myself an Italian coffee cream
straight away as it's a refreshing drink in the hot weather. You can walk from the port to Capri
town centre in 20 minutes or you can get public transport. We chose to walk to get some steps in.
Yeah, a lot of incline walk, really high up. I imagine there's like public transport you can
get but we decided to walk when we realised it's like alleyways the whole way. Still really pretty
I'm sweating. I am tired man. And this is the view you get when you reach the top.
You can probably tell by now Capri is a lot lot more busy than Amalfi Coast. There's a lot more
people there. Sorry, I think someone's got a very similar camera to me and they just noticed I've
got a DJI as well. But yeah, it's a lot more people here, a lot more busy, a lot more hustle and
bustle but still very very pretty. Make sure to visit the Augustus Gardens when you come to Capri.
You do need a ticket to get in however, it only costs 2 euros and 50 cents.
As you can see, the coastline views are surreal from here. It's absolutely delicious. Before
getting the ferry back to Sorrento, I was in the mood for another coffee. Yeah, I just wanted a
iced coffee. I got this. It's got, I mean it looks cool. It's basically got like, it's got obviously
coffee in it and a load of ice cream and then a giant doughnut which, I mean doughnut coffee is
kind of normal but yeah, I've not really had something like this before. Take a little bite
of the ice cream, sip some of that bitter coffee and you've got really balanced flavours. Like I
said, I just wanted an iced coffee. This probably cost about 20 quid but I want to say when in Rome
but when in Capri. We're going to talk about the halal food scene when it comes to, I guess Europe
but specifically Italy. So generally speaking, the halal food scene in Europe when it comes to
local cuisines can be a little bit difficult to find. Maybe not even possible in certain places.
However, when it comes to halal food scene in regards to just fast food or from migration
essentially, you can find quite a few places depending on where you are. So if you go into
Naples for example, you're going to see a lot of halal food there. Turkish food, fast food,
burgers, that sort of stuff. However, quieter places like Sorrento or Malfi Coast, you're going
to struggle if I'm being honest with you. So on Sorrento, on Google Maps, actually three places,
all three are kebab places. Now there may be more that I haven't advertised as that but obviously
I've not gone around and started asking people. So vegetarian food, it usually is pizza. However,
the other issue is it's mostly seafood here. So even vegetarian food is kind of hard to find.
If you're okay with eating seafood, you shouldn't have a problem. I'm not a massive fan of seafood
so the halal food scene here, it's not great at all. So because of these types of holidays and
we're so busy, we actually tend to have food on the go. So this is usually, especially in Italy
because you have to have these things when you're in Italy, gelato. We'll be eating a lot of that.
Coffee, a lot of coffee and slush type drinks as well, cafe creamers. There's obviously a lot
of pastries here as well. So we'll be eating a lot of pastries. So that tends to keep me going. So
those are the things that I absolutely love here. So whilst I don't get to eat much halal food,
dinner type things, I'm having a lot of those other things as well. So generally speaking,
the food scene when it comes to big cities like Rome and Naples, you will find halal food
for fast food. When it comes to small places like here, you're probably going to struggle. So
that's why I'm not really doing much of a guide here. Also I'm here to see all the scenery and
views. If you would like for me to do some guides, I definitely will for bigger cities like Naples
and Rome. When it comes to these smaller places, I think it would be good to just maybe give you
guys some awareness like I'm doing here. But generally speaking, you're coming here for the
food on the go and the views. And now it's time to start the full day in Sorrento.
Literally just like walking into town, you get these sort of views behind me. As you can see,
like it's just everywhere you go, it's so pretty. Just exploring a little bit now,
but there's going to be a really cool spot I actually want to show you guys. So hopefully
within a few minutes, you're going to see this amazing view, especially in the evening. I'm
Yeah, this is one of the amazing views that I was talking about, guys. Honestly,
you can just sit up here for hours, enjoy a nice drink and just watch it. Personally,
I would come here a little bit later where you can kind of chill and then watch the sunset.
Absolutely beautiful, but be prepared for it to be super, super busy. At the same time,
it's honestly worth it. So yeah, honestly, day three is really killing me. I don't know what
it is. I think it's like fatigue, except enough. I think it's just like all the incline walking
and like the sun and like the sort of like absorbing a lot of information. Obviously,
it's quite chilled out, but it's time at the same time. So I'm about to have my second coffee of
the day. Usually by now, I probably would have had like three or four. This is my second one. I'm
going to have a cappuccino with a croissant. Visiting Frankie's Pizzeria is a must when you're
in Sorrento. Guys, so the pizza's here. Looks absolutely amazing. Exactly how I thought it
would look. Look at that. I can't really show you because I've got face tracking on. I'm just
going to go straight into it. Oh, that is really good. It's kind of like on the levels of like
maple pizza, because it is like maple meat, UK type thing. But the UK element you can see right
here, we've got garlic mayo. That is pretty good garlic mayo as well. Honestly, this pizza is
banging. Garlic mayo is banging. And if you fancy something different to Italian food,
there are some fast food options available in Sorrento. Look at the size of these like sticks.
I just realised how big they are. Very saucy, very flavourful. It does taste like Algerian
sauce with a hint. I'd say a little bit more on the curry side. Chips actually are really good
though. That is banging. So yeah, super late now. It's actually really quiet here, but
honestly, the views are still pretty amazing. Look at that. Look how nice all of that looks.
So if you want to come here at night time and it's a bit brighter and you want to just chill
out, still warm, come at this time. But I definitely recommend coming here like towards
sunset time because that's probably the nicest time to come. So I know it's unconventional to
have ice cream super late in England, but here it's always warm. It's amazing. And the gelato
here, I'm not going to call it ice cream. I've heard someone keep calling it ice cream and it
was annoying me because this is a gelato. I'm going to finish the evening off with some gelato
and then going to do a little bit of packing and then we're going to be making our way
to Naples. So hopefully the next second of this video is going to be of Naples. Really
looking forward to leaving for Naples. Absolutely love it here, but I think I'm excited to just see
something a little bit different. It's going to be super hot though, like 28 degrees and it's
completely different vibes. I'm not going to be anywhere near as picturesque and beautiful as here,
but the food is going to bang. So made it into Naples, absolutely boiling today.
Going to the hotel now just to check in, drop off my bag, that sort of stuff. And then honestly,
I'm hungry. I want a coffee. I'm really craving a cheese sandwich. I don't know why,
but obviously I'm in Italy, so probably not something that I should have. But if I find one, I'm having it.
As you can see, the vibes in Naples are completely different to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
Naples is a bustling urban city, but there's still a lot to do here if you're visiting.
So we want to go and see some street art, so we're going to go to the metro now, jump on there,
hopefully find our way there to Barra station and then look at some Barra street art.
I can't pronounce his name. Jorrit, I think his name is, the famous painter.
One way of knowing that it's actually one of his art pieces is he's got these like two
red stripes on the faces of people. I don't know if he puts it anywhere else outside the face,
I'm going to the last one to see. So we actually saw one in Sorrento, I don't remember if I got
a shot of it, but this is Naples outside Barra station. I think that's also how you pronounce
that station name. The second you come out, you'll see one, two, three, about five of them,
they look amazing. There is absolutely a lot going on here. Windy streets everywhere you go,
and it looks really pretty. Honestly, you can spend hours here. Honestly, Naples is absolutely
full of these sort of quick food spots. So wherever you go, there's going to be lots and
lots of people, but there'll be so many places where you can just grab a quick bite of food.
This is a vegan pizza, usually I don't go for vegan pizza, but this honestly, I had it in
I had it in Capri and it was absolutely amazing. So I'm hoping this one tastes good as well,
but you're not going to have any shortages when it comes to food on the go.
It's just got like a crispy, chewy base, really tomatoey top.
And you would have thought without cheese it's weird, but honestly, it's bang.
So it's the evening, it's much cooler now. As you can see, it's obviously getting dark around me
and it feels amazing. The place that we stayed at, really nice hotel, bed and breakfast.
However, it's also like three minute walk to the pizza place I want to show you guys. So
super convenient. It's amazing. And it's right next to the station as well. I'm hoping
that at this time, there isn't much of a queue because last time I went a few years ago,
it was, we went at open time and it was super busy, like ridiculously busy. So hopefully it's
not longer than like an hour away. And once you're in, you should eat really quickly. It's not like
fancy restaurant or anything, but best pizza in Naples. See, obviously the wait was a while,
but once you sit down, literally it took about a minute, two minutes, if that. And yeah, it's,
yeah, I'm so excited to eat this. Check out the size of that pizza. You know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to do it the way I love eating it. I'm just going to roll the whole thing up.
Just going to be super messy. I'm wearing a white t-shirt. I'm going to get this all messy. Honestly
guys, this pizza, absolutely amazing. Worth the wait. You need to make sure you come here and
check out this pizza if you're visiting Naples. So this is actually being recorded by one of the
chefs who wanted to show how the pizzas are made up close. One of the popular things to do in
Naples is to visit the monastery. Farm pizza, I think good pizza from here before I go. Another
popular place to visit is the Nuova Castle, which you can climb up to get a view of the Bay of
Naples. If you enjoyed this type of content, please let me know. Drop a comment below and a
like and let me know and I'll do more of this type of stuff. Thank you guys for watching. I appreciate
it as always. If you want to stick around, there should be a video for you to watch on the screen,
but for now, peace.
