So it's the battles. Y'all have paired two of your people together. They're gonna get out there and
battle it out. I love the battle rounds because they are a duet situation. What makes a good
duet I think is when people sound so different from each other. If they sounded alike you wouldn't
know which one's singing. So that's what makes it perfect. I like the idea of being like the
camaraderie. Y'all are in this together. Yeah. And now you're telling your story to the audience.
What makes a good duet in my opinion? Teamwork, chemistry, harmonies, vocalization, and being
able to compliment and to allow the other singer to have their moments. That's the perfect duet.
Y'all sound good. The more time y'all spend together the better y'all gonna be.
Make sure your vocals are the same. That your vocals are complimentary. Don't get too big to
where you overshadow and get big enough to where you're making room for her to come in
or for you to get out. Teamwork. You know what? You can't listen if you're talking they say. So
it's really important for each person to hear each other and that changes everything. It really
does. It changes the vibe. It changes how you blend together and I think it's really important
to have enough respect and empathy for the other person that you listen. I spent so much time
watching you and listening to you. I can't take another moment without listening to you sing.
What makes a good duet is some really good harmonies first of all. I think that when the
two partners singing equally show their personalities and their singing styles and
that contrast of that but they're actually like supporting each other. This season there's just
so many great people. I'm always trying to find people that I think that are equally talented
right because that makes it more fair to have a great battle. One of my favorite duets of all time
would definitely be Rick James and Tina Marie Fire and Desire. Go look it up. Rick James and
Tina Marie Fire and Desire. One of my all-time favorite duets of all times Island in the Stream
by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Their voices are so different. That's one reason why I like it
and two I love both of their voices and so when they get to sing together it's double the pleasure.
Probably one of my favorite duets coming to mind right away is Endless Love. I think that when you
first heard the song it's like such a ballad you're like oh this song but then over the years
you realize actually what an amazing song it is so go listen to it. My favorite duets of all time
I mean Ella and Louie singing Cheek to Cheek. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson singing A Girl
is Mine and then there's Joe Cocker and Jennifer Lawrence with Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong
which is come on sing that in an arena and see what happens people go crazy.
Who would I like to duet with and I haven't yet? Posty. Oh my god Snoop Dogg number one on my list
number one on my list. Well okay now I've kind of duetted with Post Malone I call him Posty
because we did a little bit of a duet on the ACM award show this year so I'd have to say Posty.
Somebody I'd love to duet with? Sade. Sade would be my perfect duet I've been trying to get her
for a long time hopefully by me being on The Voice she'll hear me now. Sade where you at? Let's go.
