Champions League Volley Title Challengers I Numia Vero Volley MILANO I Season Highlights 2024

Back to serve. Oro. Quick through the middle. Great establishment. Again it's Iganu trying to go middle back. Franti underneath it. Thompson goes through the block. Iganu again is relied on. Oh what a roller. Stays in play. Gabby on the outside. Deep to the corner. Castillo all over it. Great cover. Another opportunity for Iganu. Still the ball is not down. That is scrappy play out of Wackenbank. From the pipe and eventually Daldedal able to. Gabby from the end line. Gets a tight pass. Still saved. Iganu again on the right side. Goes deeper and again and the defense is all over it. They have read the scouting report on Iganu. 10 times over. Here comes the freebie. Gets Thompson on the floor. Franti on the outside. Swings into hands. That's not coming back. Pipe this time. Gabby is blocked and again going for it. Franti turns down the line and Iganu. For their first ever semi-final place of the Champions League but Milano bidding for exactly the same thing. Rekic turns the ball onto the defense and Juve gets her first swing of the match. Doesn't put it away. Miriam Siller goes to the tip and that's down ball and doesn't look Chiappini. The orange coach is minded to call for video checks per set. Available. If you win it, you keep it. If you lose it, you lose it. Good recovery off a tricky pass and Buyema forced to tip it. Juve from the left side. Gets a lot on that but Dana Redke gets more of it. American former University of Wisconsin player in the number 14 shirt lined up next to Iganu. It is bizarre. Gives Mateo Piano a run for his money. Out of the back line. Amanda starts well but all over it is Laura Herrmann. Nice. Oh wow. What's the old phrase? Anything you can do. Etc. If they let their opponents win two sets, it's game over. Siller. Nice dig from Maievert. Juve doesn't get the full run up but she can still get a lot of power on with that two meters and two frame of hers. Lansky bumps it to Maievert to make the next set. Drags Juve in but Juve defends well off the block. She had to get put that away. Juve goes third time and third time is not a charm for Foley. Six great seasons at Conegliano for Foley. First point on the board then for the home side. Miriam Siller will serve. Solid pass from Amanda. Nice set from Raczki. Defended one-handed by Oro. Tipped wrong-handed by Bucema. Gets a swing on that one though and Iganu into action. Can't find that slot she's been hitting between six and five but the return block is good enough by Amanda for the block of the monster variety. It's two in a row. 3-1. Siller puts it deep. Solid pass again from Amanda. Very deliberately played that three and a half ball to come inside but they have basically tracked in. She'll try and find the line from there but it's easier said than done. Good serve. Nice pass and it's Karabudjema this time. Away we go with leg one of the CEV Champions League semi-final here in the Allianz Cloud in Milano in the pink and gold. It is the home team Allianz Verovoly Milano and they start with a block. Slightly off with the pass. A slow set into the middle to Wow. She's been bought in for Oro. They will play this next point without the setter on court. Good hit. Good defense from Gizem. Oh great work from Castillo. Here's the chance. Well played Sonia Kandi by the way for making the play. Oh wow. What a pickup from Iganu. Cazote. She done it and an incredible set comes to an end in favor of the home side. Stunning pickup from Iganu. What a set from Silla and aggression all the way from Cazote. Bettisova to serve. Magdalena Stysiak is on to block. The best pass from Cazote. Silla recovers. No setter on court or is there? Yes there is. It's a double sub. My apologies. Unal is out on the floor as the playmaker and Foley is the wall again. Foley tonight. Oh wow. Traditional stripes. Fenerbahce Uppet Istanbul at home here in the Burlan Felek Volleyball Salon in Istanbul. Get the game underway. A second leg of a semi-final that didn't. First legit point on the board for Vargas. Iganu the superstar for Milano. He's gone Vargas feather off saver almost exclusively. Castillo sneaks the pass. Oh what a hit. What a hit. Fenerbahce looking strong. Good work from Brandy who took a look as well. Finished playing internationally six years ago Robin de Kooijf but carried on playing at the very top level. First block. Plummer. Some tactical advice from Deegan Eyre I'm sure. Plummer shut down. Okay for too long in this sport. Starts inside.
