EXTREME CLEANING MOTIVATION ✨ My #1 TIP for KEEPING A CLEAN CAR/Andrea Jean

hi welcome back everybody I am Andrea Jean for all your cleaning organization inspiration and ideas and today we are cleaning out the minivan yes that's right after a long winter it's time to finally really get in here and deep clean that so if you're interested in that let's get into it in order to make this a very satisfying car clean out I have to show you the before and some of you might be asking yourself where is all your garbage and to tell you we have a garbage can right outside the van when you pull into the garage so whenever we're getting out of the van or into the van we're always putting garbage in there so that just helps make things a little bit more maintainable also our kids don't have a ton of toys that we let them bring in here because they end up dropping them of fighting over them so it just makes it overall easier the first thing I decided to do was take out all the little garbage that we had but all the things that have just accumulated we did have some baby toys in here we had hair stuff from my daughter we had blankets extra clothes diapers things that no longer needed to be in the van now I'm not finding a home for those items just yet my main focus is just getting it out of the van and I'm gonna worry about it later you can see that white garbage can that I was referring to later that's the exact one that we use it's right outside the van right before we enter the house now when I originally thought about doing a van clean out our car clean out today I thought you know what I'll wipe everything down and then I'll go in and vacuum it out but what I found to be a bit more efficient in my case rather than having to unplug the vacuum is I divided the van into two parts I did the left side first and then I went on and did the right side now that I've gotten the extra junk out of here I'm just taking these car wipes and wiping down the surfaces you all I have to tell you something about this van it is old not extremely old but old enough this was our first all-cash purchase after we became debt-free and following the Dave Ramsey plan so we've had this van for two to three years I can't remember time goes so fast but you will I am gonna drive this van until the wheels fall off the engine who falls through the bottom I just I have a lot of sentimental value of what this van symbolizes for us but I absolutely love it it's aged its glory and I have to tell you my cousin has a sticker on her van and it says I used to be cool I totally have to get that I remember telling my colleagues and my 20s that I would never drive a minivan don't mind my husband there he's always up for a good joke here we are moving on to the trunk you see those bags there I always keep them for miscellaneous things for grocery shopping if something disgusting you know what with three kids needs to go home in it and then we always have to fleece blankets that we keep for a variety of reasons one it's really nice in the summer if you're at the park and you need some place to sit on and two in the winter in the Midwest here it gets so cold and you never know what could happen so I just always tried to be prepared and so that's why we always keep those blankets back there now if you are looking for some cheap car cleaning materials I went to the dollar store recently I'm going to link the whole video here in the description and at the end and they have a ton of great car cleaning stuff you should definitely check it out it feels so nice to finally get this van whipped into shape I have been contemplating cleaning this out for several weeks now and today I had a strike while the iron is hot and I said honey can you watch the kids while I get this done and it probably took me about 30 minutes or so so not that much time my daughter so desperately wanted to help me out here and so I told her at the end she can help me spray the windows so you'll have a sneak peak of that not too shabby it is smelling real good in here and all that dust is gone and the majority of the dirt is cleaned up I'm liking that we got some carpet stains there I'm a tack those another day but generally it is all shiny now ready to get all dirtied up for the summer thank you so much for joining me here today I hope I gave you some inspiration to get your wheels cleaned up for the summer again if you like this video give it a thumbs up and hit that subscribe button and we'll see you all in the next video for some more organizing and cleaning motivation
