foreign Dollar Tree hacks that are going to beat Amazon you all love the last video so on this one I'm gonna make it bigger and better pressures on I'm sweating as you know I read all of the comments and someone mentioned that this uh Papa's grass back here look like Hey Arnold so of course I had a Google Hangout it's been so long and it absolutely does genius so grab your coffee my friend we're going on a fun ride this one got a little beat up on the way and it was Justin oh wait that's my husband I wonder if you can tell who edits whose videos who edits what's videos but actually this is for me under a gene I'm gonna bust a myth on this first one also what is one of the grossest things that happens when you vacuum you know you're emptying your canister and you're like wow that was all up in my carpet well I have a little trick for you when it comes to emptying that gross canister look at this nasty vacuum cleaner and this is just from vacuuming my upstairs and you can see here I do have some Downy Unstoppable beads on the inside my friend this does not work so here's a better alternative for you take a paper towel you don't have to do this step but this is apple cider vinegar I always have it on hand we're going to talk about this here in the next couple of hacks you could just use some water if you wanted to and then open up that garbage can go ahead and empty the contents of your vacuum cleaner oh boy that is nasty cannot believe we've been walking around on that and it gets like that every single week nasty but I will say it is kind of satisfying pulling all of that out if you can say that once you've managed to get the animal that crawled up in your vacuum cleaner out now is the time to lay your damp paper towel over that you know when you empty your vacuum cleaner it just gets all over up in your nose not anymore the moisture has absorbed all of those particles and you don't have to get a brand new garbage bag right away but if you if you live that open then you can see what just happened a couple minutes earlier shall I say a few seconds earlier Downy and stabbles they smell amazing I love them all day every day so here I'm going to show you what happens when you do this put this in your canister I've been doing this for about a week now and I was so excited and then I was like oh it just spills out so I had to be really careful about that and then I'm like oh my word let me just go ahead and refill this canister again I mean the internet told me that this cleaning hack is supposed to work so this is actually the second time doing this that I'm showing you and then go ahead plug in your vacuum cleaner and I'm going to turn it on so you can see they kind of just sit there and it really doesn't give off that much smell just maybe like a tiny tiny bit now if you have not changed your filter or washed it now is a great time to do it after watching this video look at my Builder it is so disgusting in fact this is probably the original original filter to this vacuum cleaner it was my mom's she has given it to me so to speak it came with this really cool brush but this isn't this is not going to touch this filter I mean this filter is like way beyond nasty so here's what it's supposed to look like and here's what mine looks like yes we've been breathing in that nasty filter so there's that but of course I got to get creative I'm going to use this brush to clean this little crack in between my microwave or all kinds of crumbs like to collect but I'm going to talk about these fingerprints here in just a second on my microwave you may run into this problem area if you do not like carpet deodorizer this next little trick is going to be awesome this one is from the Dollar Tree I do love it because Fresh Linen now you can buy these beads on Amazon for 11.99 I am going to buy them and test them out so that I can share them with you but I'm not very hopeful they do have some great reviews from Mark and Christine but we'll see about that next we're gonna go to to the Dollar Tree this might be my favorite trick of this entire video just kidding this video is jam-packed you're gonna grab one of these air diffusers what do you call this thing Fresh Linen scent plug-ins plug-ins that's what I know them as and of course the Fresh Linen so I'm going to take the top off here now there's a couple ways that you can do this you can just sprinkle it on your vacuum cleaner filter like I'm doing here now just do a little to begin with and then you can add more as needed but you can't subtract more but I want a lot in here just to see how it works so I took that middle part out and I could get a lot more then the nice thing is I could just twist the cap back on now put your filter back in your vacuum cleaning canister shut that lid get ready for action dump out the beads because that was pointless and down but now I did it so you don't have to do it vacuum your heart's desire away give it a couple minutes I asked my husband he's like yes I can smell it it's a party in our house Fresh Linen all day every day day here's another little vacuum cleaner trick I put a little tape on the sides because you can see all the scratches I bang it up like I'm a ravenous vacuum cleaning person and then you're gonna go ahead and put that tape on there rather than the black transferring from the vacuum cleaner onto your baseboards and your walls now you have kind of nothing when it comes to color getting on your baseboards and walls you don't have to get down there with magic eraser I love this little trick you can see it works here because the side of the vacuum cleaner was all disheveled from me banging it around I like to vacuum quickly now this is a little vacuum this is from Teemu I will link this video in anytime I see crumbs oh yes these little storage containers right here are from the Dollar Tree for organizing all the clips now I'm going to use it here on this little tiny vacuum cleaner I just took out the filter again put some this oil on top of here and can I just tell you oh this has been a game Game Changer when it comes to vacuuming my house smells nice I don't have to sprinkle anything down I don't have to spray anything in the air you know your vacuum cleaner always can't get those nooks and crannies so this is great for that and then I just put it back under my kitchen sink where I can use it probably in the next five minutes because I use it that frequently now I had bought this vinegar and Eucalyptus spray from home goods and I loved it at first however it has started to leave a film all over my countertops and it said on the back that this was okay to use on marble and granite and I just got sick of it so I want to recommend this is granite gold daily cleaner I've used it before I'm currently using it again because it works so well I actually use it on so many different things like wood and my microwave you know sometimes you rather not know what happens to your food before it's in front of you or in your refrigerator yeah well I'd like to close my eyes to that one but I'm going to show you a little trick here that will make you feel even better when it comes to your fruit foreign next I'm here at Dollar Tree grab some of this apple cider vinegar there are two size containers a small one and a large one I did go with a smaller one because I already have some back stock in my home but this trick I'm going to show you if you want to do it you want to get the larger container it's going to help you out in the long run and then get yourself a spray bottle if you do not have one handy I find myself picking these up quite frequently because I use them for so many different things now this is the one I already have in my kitchen yes this is a Dollar Tree spray bottle this is what I keep underneath my kitchen cabinet so that I have easy access to it high touch high priority items I want to be able to get to very quickly so that I utilize them now I bought the small bottle as you can see here and the thing about this is the mouth of it is too large for what I'm about to show you so that's why the larger bottle would be a better alternative now if you haven't here's something really cool hydrogen peroxide you need to keep it in a dark bottle so that it does not start to break down with the sunlight in the light but you can take any bottle top cut it as needed screw it on top and then you can just go ahead and spray directly from this you can use it to clean your kitchen sink you can put in your garbage disposal in fact for kids I look great says she uses this to help revive wilted lettuce I have not tried that myself but I'm definitely going to if you had let us know in the comments box below now we're going to grab some strawberries tis this season it's summer fresh food all day every day but all the pesticides that are on there the handling you're gonna spray this down with your apple cider vinegar again I do this every time I have fresh fruit that comes home to our family let that sit for about 15 minutes so that the vinegar can really work in terms of killing any pesticides now your strawberries are very happy they're thanking you rather than a very sad strawberry we want our strawberries and our fruit to smile at us and thank us and then put the deliciousness into your belly I'm just grabbing a kitchen towel here to dry these strawberries off you want to remove any excess moisture so that these strawberries can Thrive and can party you can use paper towel but I prefer to use something else now a salad spinner I'm going to show you something really cool here put your strawberries in the salad spinner this is just an extra step you don't have to do but as you do this you're gonna see you can get even more water out of your fruit more quickly now you could just skip the towel drying method all together and just go this route because it works so fabulous but I actually like doing both especially if I have a big batch of fruit and I like to do this if I have some time on a Sunday that way it's ready to go we can have fresh things on hand we are excited the fruit's excited it's a party in our kitchen now these little containers are fun this is where I like to put my produce I like this tray here so that the fruit is not sitting directly in any water because the fruit and produce will still continue to perspire being in your refrigerator I lay a little paper towel down and then I go ahead and I cut up all my strawberries so my kids can grab it I can grab it I'm not 10 tempted to grab the Doritos and the Pringles although I like to do that as well but if I have this handy I don't want it to go bad because it feels like I'm throwing dollar bills into the garbage can if you know what I'm saying with that so I'm more likely to eat the produce especially if I know that it's going bad it's just a little self trick that I do with myself and then once this is done I put it in my refrigerator and then the fruit will stay longer and fresher which is great because it saves you money in the long run now you can buy a fruit spray on Amazon for about 17 but why do that when you can do this for literally like just a couple of dollars to lift that's your left my right into the right to the right now we're gonna slide on into this next hey I've seen this next trick done with old cutting boards but I think it works better with a cookie pan and we need to judge this up a bit because we can't just use any regular old cookie pan so grab yourself some Dollar Tree wallpaper any kind of your choosing I had a hard time selecting because they are so pretty but look at inside my pantry we have this deep Corner things get hidden back there they start to expire it just looks like a big old mess in there so the first thing I did is I went in and organized this and as I organize I find myself eating any sort of snacks that you know don't fit in the container again here we are with this mini vacuum getting all the crumbs in my pantry I should just strap this on like a safety belt so that I have it with me at all times of course I love these dots honey consuming but I'm glad I got it done so grabbing your cookie sheet these Dollar Tree scissors are my favorite animal Lefty and I can cut with them did you see that Center are part of the scissors I'm going to show you a trick here in just a second but you're going to take your Dollar Tree wallpaper any sort of contact paper if you already have something on hand and I just traced around it so I knew how big it needed to be in order to fit it inside of my cookie sheet but I'm not going to be making cookies with this and then I cut it out really quickly this literally took me like a couple of minutes just to add a nice little touch you know E6000 the cap likes to stick to it I didn't have any on hand I just have some shoe glue here but this works great for twisting off that cap it works every single time so now you know if you've never wondered what those little teeth were inside of your scissors and look at our beautiful cookie tray look at how organized this looks in my pantry now it's much easier for me to keep it organized and everyone else in my family now you can just pull this tray out which is really nice and grab Whatever item that you need in the back so now the all the items are contained and you can access them more easily you can do this in any sort of shelf you can do this in a bathroom you can do this in a closet you can do it in any space that just has you need like go go gadget arms to get in the back I have the Shelf this two-tier shelf in my bathroom where the drawer slides in and out but again you can put your cleaning supplies on here under your sink if you needed to get the back and you didn't want to have to dig in the way back of your cabinet this next hack we're gonna call Shoe stopper rather than show stopper because it truly is a show stopper but for all intents and purposes it's a shoe stopper by the way it's a really such thing as a shoe stuffer shoe horn not shoe stopper I feel like I need to Google that hey Siri what's a shoe stopper oh it really is a thing here's an answer from mariowiki.com shoestopper is the eighth course in the story mode of Super Mario Maker too okay it's a thing but not not in this thing did you know you can do it just like talk to your your iPhone hey Siri what's the weather today in Minnesota huh 89 degrees I wonder I'm sweating in here I like to sweat it out I freeze all winter long so bring the heat baby heat for this trick you can use a magazine holder if you already have one on hand Dollar Tree it currently has a blue one and a red one but you may have seen this in other videos in fact I showed this in my refrigerator in a previous Dollar Tree video but what I'm about to show you I like it better shoes look at all these shoes for my two and a half year old they just kind of accumulate water shoes tennis shoes sandals hand-me-down shoes but I'm gonna show you how many shoes I can fit inside this container now you may be saying to yourself Andrea Jean I do not wear a toddler size five so of course you can fit a ton of shoes in there yes you can but this is a this is a great idea to show you what you can do with this now something that's going to be more applicable to the majority of us if you have sandals yes because they are tall and they are skinny you can fit quite a few sandals inside of this container you can put this in a closet you can put this in a mud room you can put this anywhere a shelf of some sort you can fit a lot in there and you can see I can easily pull this in and out to grab the sandal that I want to get those shoes up off the floor especially ones that you're not wearing on an everyday basis but look at how nice and organized this is goodbye a sandal organizer on Amazon for about twenty dollars it kind of looks ugly I'm thinking it would just bang against your wall as you open door so let's do the Dollar Tree version shall we I want to give a huge shout out to Stephanie Joan and Lynn thank you so much for supporting this Channel and helping it to grow this next hack is not just for your grandmas and your grandpas it's for you and I too although I mean anyone could have Dentures my grandpa used to have Dentures growing up as a kid and I was like what just happened to his teeth you know what Someday I'm probably gonna have a set of dentures in my own but enough of that in a recent video I showed how you could take a Dollar Tree clean toilet brush to clean the inside of your vase is but I have another little trick for you grab some denture tablets you can grab a couple options here at Dollar Tree thank you for giving us some variety vases Linda says that she uses these tabs to clean her vases along with Pam wood thank you so much for your comment now did you know that denture tablets often are made of baking soda and citric acid which is just frequently used in Canning and the great thing about this is it kills 99.9 of odor causing bacteria 32 tablets in here now you can buy these water bottle cleaning tablets on Amazon but you do not need to spend your money on that one so just go ahead open up your water bottle that needs a good wash and by the way if I have any water left over in a water bottle I always use it to water my plants and with four kids we have a lot of water bottles laying around with empty water in them so I like to reuse that water am I the only one that does that but put one or two denture tablets inside your water bottle just depending upon the smell all and what else might be growing in there put the straw inside because we want to get that straw clean the plastic and then make sure it's also coming out the mouth of the water bottle take it apart I would let this sit for about 20 minutes at best and then make sure that you have a straw cleaning tool to get inside of those straws because I found mold in the inside of these straws before you think you cleaned it but you need a small tool to get in there and then rinse it out thoroughly clean the mouth off and I love doing this method better than putting them in the dishwasher because your water bottles will last longer and I do think they clean them better tip your water bottle upside down but make sure there's room underneath for that water to be released now when it comes to cleaning your garbage disposal you can buy these plank little circular things which are kind of cool and fun but they're they're almost twelve dollars on Amazon for a 40 count and I don't think they work that great I mean they're okay but I much prefer to use a denture tablet I'm going to go in with two because this I hate garbage disposals and then some lemon this this lemon juice is is actually from the Dollar Tree and it smells wonderful and then just sprinkle some hot water down your drain for a little bit run your garbage disposal and yes it's amazing huh bracket what is that theme song I can't think of it this next hack we're gonna call pop rocket because after this you are going to be rocking it both your wallet and well giving yourself a pat on the back because it's so clever I have actually purchased one of these generic pop sockets from the Dollar Tree and it does actually stick to your phone if the back of your phone is cleaned first with a little bit of rubbing alcohol but today I'm gonna go with the watermelon we're gonna do something very different something you may have never thought of before you can buy these little cord organizers from Amazon and they work great but sometimes you want an alternative option and why not a watermelon this is my halo light that I use every time that I record in my bedroom when you're watching these videos so I thought this will work perfectly to get that cord off the floor because it's a pain in the butt to lift the light and deal with the cord and put it away I'm afraid a kid's gonna trip on it and then vacuuming and then hold it there as long as as you possibly can I don't know I held it there for like eight seconds and then take your cord and wrap it around and this is a very long cord as you can see most cords are not going to be this long so if you have something longer just know that it's going to work great I tucked it in and here it is this Dollar Tree generic pop socket is holding my cords great and it's been a week later not a week maybe like four days later and it's working fabulous it's still holding strong it has not fallen off I love it you know it's really fun when you can combine two things together you feel like oh I feel kind of smart about that one but how about a clean toaster let's call this one a cluster here's a really fun one yet functional I love that fun in function all in one we got these basters these silicone basters we got this really long handled one which is going to work perfectly the bristles on this are a little bit softer with the back of your toaster this is just a week later I believe since I've cleaned this I showed this in a previous video but of course I'm going to show you an alternative hack and Crumbs are all up in this toaster we make a lot of toasted bread related things in this household so this thing needs to get cleaned frequently in a previous video I showed you can take two paint brushes just take some tape stick them together and you can get in all those little nooks and crannies it works better than anything else I have tried but these Dollar Tree ones are also fun two different versions here one of them has more stiff bristles if you will and the other one has softer bristles but I do need to pull down the lever on the toaster just a little bit to pull back I don't know the tines I can't I can't think of offhand what you call um those but also your Keurig coffee maker this thing is kind of a pain in the butt to clean it's not my favorite thing to do and I often will put it off for as long as I can until my Keurig just sends me that warning light these pads are also from the Dollar Tree these cutting mats I believe is what they are but I love them for my Keurig because I can pull it in and out to clean it and I can clean under it very easily there's very few tools that you can use to get inside of your Keurig Reservoir this is our DIY Dawn power wash I've left the recipe in previous videos before it's super easy to make but I did make a refill and then I'm taking this Dollar Tree silicone brush and getting down deep inside I can clean all the places that I need to a baby brush kind of works but not as well as this in my personal opinion because I can just really look at this yes getting in there you know mold and bacteria likes to settle you can even clean the outside of your Keurig Reservoir with this brush it works great it's just the perfect amount of stiffness yet softness and then rinse it out very thoroughly you can see here you have to hand wash this only and the reservoir now if you do not like this option of course on Amazon they're selling something for just about eight dollars a variety pack of brushes so take your pick pick your poison I'm not a big fan of cleaning windows it's quite time consuming although it's very satisfying but here's the other piece of that my kids just go put their fingers on right away and then I like spent 10 minutes cleaning this window I just took like like a millisecond for a hand print to be put on and then you're like oh so I'm like why bother well here's a little trick we're gonna call this one Window Wise we are going for a fun ride and you might be in for a surprise my friend when it comes to these Dollar Tree Glass wipes I know other influencers recommend that you buy these I'm going to demonstrate them for you what I do recommend is this window clean with vinegar I love it it works fantastic it's streak free so we're gonna do the front window of my house because I have little kids and neighbor kids that put their hands all over this and an e-cloth I recommend this when it comes to cleaning and we're gonna do our glass cleaning wipes from the Dollar Tree now here's the hack when you clean your windows on one side you want to clean it vertically as you can see that I'm doing here go in and then go in with your e-cloth or any sort of drying towel vertically as well to get you know all of the streaks allegedly that's the hoper and then we're gonna go to the other side of the window but this time we're going to clean it vertically you may be saying to yourself Androgen why why would I do that well there's going to be something really cool here I'm going to show you you can see which side of the window the streaks are on based upon the length of the streaks is it horizontal or is it vertical now this is going to be tricky for my camera to pick up but I can see a bunch of streaks going vertically so that means that they're on the other side of the glass yes no more questioning yourself oh there we go I'm here filming on my iPhone and it's picking up perfectly you can see both the vertical and horizontal streaking my windows actually look worse after using uh the glass cleaner look at that look at that okay let's just set you up right here shall we oh it's a little bit a little bit crooked okay there we go in all honesty I do not love these wipes I think they're a pain in the butt I'd rather just have this spray the Dollar Tree vinegar spray Works amazing but in fact with e-cloths all you really need is water I would recommend distilled water that way you have less likelihood of mineral deposits or anything that's in regular tap water but I would not waste your money on these wipes You can disagree with me let me know in that comments box below but I just want to like quickly spray something and then wipe something down whereas this like you're doing way more work wiping once and then wiping twice you know what I'm saying on that one so there's that and I don't know if you can see right here it says streak free no the other thing too is that these are very moist and so uh this I don't know they're just garbage in my opinion but now that I bought these I feel the need to continue to use them but not for my windows I'm going to find another creative way stay tuned now if you still want to give something like this a whirl Amazon's selling something for about thirteen dollars but you only get 60 and you still also have to wipe it dry afterwards so I don't love this option either save the drama for your mama well don't because I don't like the drama either but we're gonna call this next hack foldarama because it's gonna be no mo drama you know I love clever ways when it comes to folding your clothes so that it's easier to put in your drawers it looks nicer it's just better overall so we're gonna grab some of these honey toasted O's and some movie theater butter popcorn and see what's in store let's just give these generic Cheerios a try shall we my five-year-old had them this morning and seemed to like them but let's just see they're definitely not as sugary like first bite hmm all right they're okay two out of five does that work with it I know do you guys like these Honey Nut toasted oats as I continue to eat them take your cereal box or any box that you have on hand you're gonna fold the side flaps and the first time you do this it will be a little bit tougher and then the flap side here with the little slot you're going to tuck in a second now you're just going to take the sides of your cereal box or whatever box you have and just kind of crimp it tuck it in on itself and it actually folds in pretty easily like nine out of ten easy fold it in here this is a brand new box and then that top part here that we left out yeah here's what's really fun we're just gonna tuck it in that little Nook that you see now I could do this much faster if I didn't have the camera facing you and I was actually able to see where I was putting that but this is gonna look so nice help keep your cereal fresher your pantry will look organized I mean look at this have you ever seen a box look so pretty in your life if someone comes over to your house they're going to be impressed I'm just kidding why are they digging in your your cabinet are your pantry oh wow that smells very buttery like really good let's do something cool with a plastic bag say you don't have a chip clip or a hair band or anything to really fold that chip bag in or you just want to press somebody that you're with you're going to roll over your plastic bag all the way to the contents and then you're going to fold in one side of that bag and like make a triangle and then fold in the other side and you see we have this sort of situation going on here and then here's the fun part you're actually going to flip it over on itself and you'll see here I know it may not look like you're like Andrew Jean what are you doing fiddling with that bag tuck it in there my sides were a little bit longer than normal but look at this your popcorn is not going anywhere let's just yep tip it upside down look at that it's all stuck in their clothes without anything other than your hands I do keep popcorn in my car at all times this yum container was in the pet section of Dollar Tree and where I keep it but it looks so cute and then of course grab yourself some tooth Pickers because popcorn it gets in my teeth all the time these are also from the Dollar Tree I always have to have these two things handy you know when you're walking around the aisles of Dollar Tree and you see these random items and you're like hmm how could I use this in my home well this next one we're calling super kind of sounds like snake super the ice thing get it yeah okay this next little trick comes from the garden section of your local Dollar Tree you can see this belt hanger yes that is from Amazon but you do not need to spend Amazon money to get the effect that you want look at this yes this Garden Hook is holding all of these belts and it works just as well as the Amazon version maybe you want to hold up hers maybe you want to hold a backpack to save some space in your closet and it doesn't look gaudy it looks like it is meant to be there here's something else that's really cool if you want it to look like a store you could hang your jeans just make sure they're facing All the Same Direction so that there's cohesion and it looks pretty but you definitely can hang your jeans like this rather than having to hold them just hook it on the back of the belt loop maybe you have a media center and you want to hang up your headphones on something of some sort I just want to give you a bunch of ideas of how you could use these S hooks if you will and then you can easily put them back on and off you can change this up as often as you like you can buy something like this on on Amazon for about twelve dollars but why spend your money spend it at the Dollar Tree for this my grandpa used to sing that song to me ma oh my what a wonderful day plenty of sunshine Zippity doodah Zippity yay this next hack is called zipperific Irish Spring soap smells so good did you know there are a variety of smells with this Irish Spring so so if you have a zipper that doesn't move up and down very easily you can grab some of this Irish Spring soap that's a mouthful or any sort of soap will do I love it because it smells really nice or some chapstick I do prefer the Chapstick you can just keep it in your pocket it's better than keeping a bar soap in your pocket and it goes on clear now you're not gonna have that nice scent but you can see here the Irish Spring soap left as residue on the dress you're not going to want to use this on many sort of fabrics and materials or a dress to go with the Chapstick instead but just a couple options for you can actually buy snap stick for about nine dollars on Amazon if you wanted to but you certainly can just use your regular old chapstick that has wax in it already I did show a little trick here in a previous video where you can use a paper clip and a string now Tova she says she has a friend who actually uses a ribbon the color of her dress to do this next little thing that I'm going to show you genius I told do that I was gonna buy this in the last video and I did I do what I say I'm going to do this is going to be fun I'm going to try it for you for the first time on camera with you but what's nice about this is you could just open it up you don't have to take a paper clip and get it around a loop or anything like that which can be a little bit tricky and then trying to put it back on so you just pinch this and put the zipper in and my zipper is very small but it also works for larger zippers and you can see here I'm able to pull that up very easily especially if I put a little tension on the bottom it now the real trick is can I get this back on because when I use the paper clip it's hard to Loop through a tiny zipper hole so let's just see what happens and by the way this is a very short tiny zipper we're having a little trouble okay we're gonna try this one last time I put it in and then just pulled it down as far as I could with my hands there's a there's a lump on the top of this it makes it a little tricky but okay it works it's just this part is hard see let me show you again here we go do [Music] foreign that's awesome okay I'm impressed this is the first time I ever tried this was on camera with you so you got to see what it's like uh your first time but if you don't have like something up here on your neck that you have to pull over this is fantastic how fun you can just roll it easy in order for me to be able to do it with doing doing all the things that we we do so you're going to grab some of these antibacterial wipes I found two versions at the Dollar Tree I love these ones they're plant-based which that is fun and the bottle is cute I also showed in a previous video where you can Thrift a bed sheet or you can Thrift a curtain I love the curtain option because less things stick to it and it's soft and it's you know it's got three layers here and the price point on this is just 3.99 but if you have an old curtain laying around your house this will work perfect and then some coffee filters yes grab some coffee filters from the Dollar Tree as well I keep these on hand when I go picnicking because you can put so many things in here you could put apples you can put sandwiches you can put cheese you can put anything popcorn of course we're gonna put some popcorn in here so it serves as a mini plate and takes up less space especially if you have a big package and you want to divide things up and then these wipes I like to keep when it comes to picnicking or in my car or in a backpack I will say say that I prefer this option better than the round container just because it's smaller it's more compact but I love both options that you can easily have and access now here is that curtain I just rolled it up here I put a little rubber band on there so it's easy to carry in and out wherever I need to go in fact I could even put this inside of my picnic bag when I am not using it and because nothing really sticks to it like grass because of the material I don't have to wash it as often here we are having a fun little picnic so I want to thank whoever donated this curtain because it has served a great function in our family if you're not try this I definitely recommend it it's just a fun way easy way to get out have picnics make it easier for you and cleanup is also a breeze which is awesome I don't know why but I feel like just singing doing this relax don't do it I gonna get to it relax jump to it when you gonna go with the hookups well on those same lines after this hack you're gonna feel chillax I'm unveiling the truth to you here today my friend grab yourself a thermometer from the Dollar Tree this will only work for one real reason I'll show you in a second and then some tasty beverage of your choice I'm gonna go with this ice do I go with cherry limeade or coconut pineapple both look refreshing and very good on this particular hot day now you may have heard that you can wrap your beverages in a wet towel or something and it will cool down much faster well there was an extensive article done by John he's an engineer and a scientist and look at what like all extends if he did here but this is what he found when he did this exact experiment that it did not actually work I mean most of the stuff on the internet is regurgitated nonsense so the fact that he wrote this article it's not monetized as far as I can tell why would he spend all this time doing this I trust this also Dave Hax did a video where you can cool down a beverage in two minutes with some salt water so I wanted to try something very similar so I got this thermometer from as you saw the Dollar Tree now I will say that it did not work for a beverage so in testing out this digital thermometer it will read my temperature however when I go to just stick it in a room temperature beverage such as this one it just reads hello so I got a new thermometer that will read all kinds of things 84 degrees in my house is pretty accurate but what's the temperature of this beverage we got 73 degrees oh 72 we're gonna go with 72 degrees of this particular beverage I got some ice put some water in there and then I'm gonna add about two tablespoons of salt this is what Dave did by the way I love Dave's videos but I just want to try this out and I set my timer for two minutes because that's what he did as well now he did have a metal can I have a plastic can so I do think there's some variation when it comes to that but I patiently waited as the timer went off I took out my tasty bottle well at least I hope it was tasty I could not wait to give it a try and then we checked the temperature 70. so it only went down two degrees and two minutes with this this salt bath situation after two minutes it's got to be a better way so we're gonna grab a cup with some ice we're gonna set our timer and we're gonna wait another two minutes and see how quickly this cools down now I will say today I was just dying to drink this beverage so then we put our thermometer in and read 68 at this time but it drops so quickly like seconds it dropped over 20 degrees so you pick what you would choose to do I'd rather just put something over ice than rather than salt water bath and all that sort of nonsense let's take a test don't mind me we just got done organizing a closet all day so I may be a little off disheveled nice cold and cherry limeade
