Today's video, as you guys seen by the title, is going to be a day in the life as a content creator with a 9-5. Okay? If you guys are new here and do not know, your girl do a whole lot. Okay? I'm someone who does content on all three platforms, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Make sure y'all are following me because it's all in the description box below. I own two businesses, one where I do hair, the other where I sell hair. I am part-time in school, all while working a full-time 9-5 job, y'all. Yes, a full-time 9-5 with all those other activities that I do as well. So, when I tell y'all my life can get pretty crazy, pretty busy, it gets like that. Today, I'm just going to bring you guys along with me for a day in the life as a girl who just always got something going on. Because you already know you're going to be posted back to back to back to back to back. Okay? Period. It is currently Tuesday, October 22nd, and it is 9am on the dot. I am up, and I know y'all probably wondering, girl, why would you come on here? Start this video like this in that bonnet? That is because we have some collaborations to get done first thing this morning. Um, in front of me, I have two collaborations. I'm waiting on one though, it still hasn't came in the mail. I'm waiting on one. But, so I have two collaborations that I need to film today, and then I also have a package that I need to unbox with you guys. I think that's what I'm going to start with. So, these collaborations are TikTok collaborations. I've just now started going and getting in my TikTok collaboration bag, because if y'all are new here and y'all don't know, your girl did get her TikTok account banned, uh, a little over a year ago, I think, and I had to start fresh, and let's just, let's just give a little round of applause for how many TikTok followers I have today. 6,067 followers on TikTok, and you may be like, girl, like that ain't really nothing. But I have multiple viral videos, a couple of videos over 100,000 views, some over 300,000 views. So, I feel like I really do got a little foot in the game when it comes to the content stuff, okay? Like I said, first things first, we are going to be starting with my TikTok packages, so I'm going to go ahead and start with unboxing this one that I have here, which is a wig, which is why I came on here in this bonnet. So, I do have to get my hair done, well, I do have to do my hair today for this promo. I'm so happy because it is a glue-less wig, which is perfect because I also get my hair done tomorrow. Like, I actually get my hair done tomorrow for something else. So, I'm happy this is a glue-less wig. This is the Shein package, not the wig. Okay, y'all, so update, that package was actually not my wig. I don't know where the wig is, to be real. So, let me just give y'all a little back story real fast. Like I said, I have a lot of packages coming in, right? Yesterday, I was supposed to get two packages delivered. One of them was half of my Shein package because y'all know Shein be like splitting stuff up. So, one of them is half of the Shein packages. The other half of the package got lost. I don't know where they delivered that to, but they didn't deliver it here. That was shipped through FedEx. So, now I have part of the Shein package, which is what I just opened, which is what I thought was the wig. The other package was the wig shipped through USPS, which is saying that it was delivered in a parcel locker, but they never gave me a code to get it out the package. So, I'm thinking this is the wig because they gave me a parcel code for that, but they didn't give me a parcel code for the wig. So, now I'm trying to call USPS to see if they can give me the code or whatnot because I can't get it and they're not answering the phone. So, they have me on hold for 15 to 27 minutes. I just tried to call my apartment office, but they're not open. They don't open until 10. So, now I have to wait. It's 9.17 now. We just wasted all that time trying to be on the phone. But you know what? I'm not going to let it stop me. We're just going to move on to the next thing. Okay? Okay. I also have a package from Fashion Nova and this is because I have a photo shoot in two days. So, I'm going to have to go ahead and unbox the stuff with you guys. Why am I showing y'all this stuff? I don't know. I guess y'all just going to get a sneak peek of my photo shoot. I'm not going to lie. Everything that I order from Fashion Nova is not just for the photo shoot. Some of it is just for pleasure and just cute outfits. I guess first we'll start with sheen since I already opened it. I got this very cute white like girly dress and like this goes over the neck. So, this is super cute. So, I got that with some white heels to match with it. Just some white like pearly heels because I feel like that was just the cutest thing ever. The next outfit is not the complete outfit because like I said they shipped it in two different packages. I really don't know why sheen does that but it's supposed to be like this two piece set with this skirt and I don't know if I'm going to wear all these outfits for sure yet but I just wanted to have like ideas. This like kind of lays top and then it's supposed to be like a jacket like this to go with it. I think that's all that I got from sheen which is why I'm confused to why they split up the package. Let me see if I'm missing anything else. Yeah, that's it. So, that's what I got from sheen. Next thing from Fashion Nova like I said I got this jumpsuit. It's just like this blazer jumpsuit. I feel like for a photo shoot you always got to have a good blazer and I'm going to try all this stuff on once I get my hair done. It's just I feel like I shouldn't try it on now because I'm not really going to see the full vision. But it's just this tan really cute jumpsuit or blazer set and then I do think I'm only going to do three looks so one of these outfits are going to have to go by process of elimination. Next I just got this bodysuit that looks kind of big. Hopefully it fits. It's a medium. I should have got a small. Oh my gosh. This definitely looks big. Okay. So, yeah. That's the bodysuit. And then I think that's it for the photo shoot. Then I just got this two-piece set. I'm not going to open it right now but it's just this two-piece set. I think this is also a two-piece set. As y'all can see baby it's getting cooler out and I need my two-piece set. Okay period. So, that's all of those packages. Let's get into the next collaboration that I have I guess. So, it is pretty heavy but this is like a what is it called like a side table desk I guess so you can put it over your bed and do some work. So, this is what I got which I can't do anything with this now because my hair is not done so I can't film the video. That is the next package that I have and then other than that I am just waiting on my wig to be delivered. So, since I can't really do anything that I was planning on doing we're going to have to kind of like skip around my to-do list because this is already not going out as I planned it to. So, let's go ahead and see. What I'm about to go do is I'm about to go get the wig for my photo shoot and I guess I could just go ahead and start washing that wig. I get my hair done. Today's Tuesday. I get my hair done tomorrow when I get off work. So, I need to go ahead and wash that wig. I'm getting it reinstalled so I need to go ahead and wash it make sure there's no glue on it. Clean the wig so that it can be ready for me to get it installed and so it can be dried in time. So, I guess I'm just going to go ahead and do that and then once I'm done hopefully by then they have called me back and I figure out where this wig is because I don't really know what I'm going to do without the collaboration. The company is going to have to send it back or something like that because I don't know where the wig is at. Let's go ahead and get that wig so we can get that washed. This is the wig in question. Y'all know this is a 34 inch wig from my hair brand. It still look good. This is exactly how it looked when I took it off my head. But yeah, I'm about to go ahead and first of all get all the glue off and it's a good thing because it doesn't seem like it's a lot of glue on here so that's great. I'm going to make sure I'm really careful because I don't want to make any holes or I don't want to rip the wig. So, I'm going to go ahead and get all the glue off and then I'm going to go straight into washing this wig. And then after this, I do have two clients coming up. So after I finish washing this, I'm going to go ahead and look in my hair inventory and go and see what type of hair that I need to go to the hair store and get. That way I can make a run to the hair store today as well and go ahead and set up for those clients or at least get the hair situated for those clients because they're not until like the end of the week kind of because I have to take off because like I said I have stuff to do. But I just want to make sure I have all the hair so I'm not rushing towards the end of the week to try to go and get the hairs. First things first, we're going to go ahead and get the glue off of this wig. This is a 13 by 4, like I said, 34 inch straight wig and I can't wait to get it installed. Y'all know it's bust down season. It done got a little cold outside, it's bust down season, okay? So it is now like an hour later, it is currently a 10-18 right now. I just finished shampooing and conditioning my wig so now it's drying. Y'all, I got the wig, I got the wig. I am just slow. This wig was in my mailbox and I was thinking that it was in the Amazon locker thing but no, it was in the mailbox so I had it the entire time. I am however still missing half of my sheen package and FedEx did try to call me but I missed the call. They didn't try again so I don't know what that's about. But like I told y'all, I have four outfits. I need three. If anything, I'll just take out the pink outfit because I was thinking when I did my very first photo shoot, I had a pink outfit anyway so it's like I'll be okay because if y'all don't know, my Black Friday deal is the reason why I'm doing a photo shoot and I want it pink Friday which is why I wanted like a little bit of pink but I have pictures of me in a pink outfit anyway so like it'll work either way. What I'm about to do now is go ahead and install this wig. Well, it's supposed to be pre-bleached, pre-plucked. Like I don't have to do anything to it so we finna see. And so for the wig, I have to do two videos so the first video I'm gonna do is me like showing the box, installing it because it's supposed to be glue-less like I said so me showing the box and me just putting the wig on, probably flat ironing it and that's good. I'm gonna do a voiceover for that one to kind of explain like how the wig is, the quality of it, all that. Second video I'm gonna do is me styling the hair and in that video, I want to just do like some big curls with my wand curler and then that's gonna be it. That one's gonna be like over music and stuff so we're about to go ahead and get started with this wig collab so we can hurry up and move on to the next thing because we're supposed to have been done with this wig a long time ago and this is how it look like. It's already pre-cut, pre-bleached, pre-plucked, all that. I just finished doing the two clips of the promos for this wig. I just went ahead and put this headband on just because sometimes the glue-less look can look a little too glue-less for me sometimes but we're about to go ahead and move on to my next sponsorship which is the bedside table that I showed y'all. This is the next sponsorship that I'm about to go ahead and do so I'm about to go ahead and start unboxing this. Hopefully, it's not too much but I need to go ahead and get this done and then I kind of already have an idea of the videos that I want to film for this. So basically for that one, I'ma just film like my regular little mini-vlogs that I be doing and I'ma just have it to where I'm kind of like doing some work on it like on my bed and stuff like that so yeah. I'm about to go ahead and unbox this, bring it in the room, film that so we can be done with the content because your girl gotta get to editing. The next thing after this will be me editing my YouTube video. I have a YouTube video that's supposed to be going out today at 6 o'clock and I haven't even started editing it on. The good thing is it is just a morning routine so if y'all have not watched my morning routine make sure y'all go watch it but I need to get started on that ASAP. So I'm about to go ahead and unbox this and then once we finish with this, we're gonna start editing the video. I'm sitting on the floor because I'm about to go ahead and try to build the oversized overbed table. I'm hoping it's not too hard. Okay, it shouldn't be. It's only five steps so it shouldn't be hard at all. So I'm about to go ahead and see how I'm supposed to build this. Oh, it actually comes with a screwdriver too. Looks like we're starting with this part. As y'all can see, I just finished it and I got it raised all the way up. I think this is the highest that it goes. So it can literally be a standing table and now I'm gonna try to pull it down and see how low it can go. So this is how high it can go. As you can see, I can like stand up and work and then if I put it down. Okay, you can put it down like that. Okay, period. Okay, that took a lot to do. I'm not gonna lie. I even had to restart because I missed the very first step. How did I do that? I don't know. But now what I'm about to go ahead and do is start editing. And I think I'm gonna go ahead and kill two birds with one stone because I'm gonna record myself editing on this table. So I am about to go ahead and start editing. It is 11 27. So I'm gonna give myself to 12 45 to be done. The video is not that long. But then again, I haven't started on it. So I don't know how long it's gonna take me. But I'm gonna give myself to 12 45 and let's see if I can hit the deadline. Because I need that video done. And I need to move on to the next thing because I feel like I'm running behind. But it is now 113. And I just finished editing my video. I finished editing like right at 12 50. But I'm rewatching it. And I'm almost done. This video is so short. I have not posted a video this short and so long. But it is just a morning routine. So it's like it is what it is. So I'm about to go ahead and save it. And then after I finish saving it the first time, that's when I'm gonna add the little mini clip in the beginning. And then I'm gonna save it again. I'm happy I finished the video in time. Okay, y'all. So I am now in the car about to go ahead and grab lunch. And as I'm out, I think I do want to go ahead and stop by the hair store. I went ahead and looked in my inventory and seen what type of hair do I need. And all I need to get is client. I need to get hair for my second client that I have. Because I don't really have no hair for her at all. And then for my first client, all I need to get is two packs of hair. So I'm gonna go ahead and grab Chipotle for lunch. I actually have not had Chipotle in months. Like literally, I don't even remember the last time I had Chipotle. I'm gonna go ahead and grab Chipotle for lunch. And then we are going to head to the hair store. So let's go ahead and go. It's now 1.22. We kind of got to get a move on it because I know I have to be at work at three o'clock today. So we're gonna go ahead and head to go get us some lunch. As I can tell, I have been pretty much on go since I woke up this morning. But when you are someone who has a million things going on at one time, that's pretty much how your day is gonna go every single day. Every day, obviously, I don't have a lot of collaboration. I don't have a lot of promos to do. I don't have videos to edit. But for the most part, my days do be consistent of this business, that business, trying to go to work, trying to see when I can fit clients in. Like it just be so much going on. Like when I tell you I be so busy, it's not an act. Like it's not an act when I say I be busy. And a lot of people always ask me like, well, how are you able to juggle everything and, you know, still be consistent on YouTube? And it's honestly like you have to want to do it. If you don't want to do it for real, you're not going to be able to juggle everything. I really want to be a hairstylist. I really want to do YouTube. I really want to be a business owner. So for me, it's like I have no choice but to do these things. Like that's literally the only choice that I have. So yeah, I know my day in a life as a content creator slash business owner slash nine to five worker is going very chaotic. But this is literally an everyday thing for me. I just got my food from Chipotle. I didn't bring it in there because I was just literally ordering. So I am actually about to go ahead and go home. And I'm just going to go to the hair store another day because I'm honestly, my clients are not until this weekend, like Friday and Saturday, I think. And today is only Tuesday. So I'm really not in a big of a rush to get the hair at this moment. So I'm going to just wait because I really want to go home and make sure I get that video slowed into YouTube. And I want to have time to eat my food and not be rushing, trying to hurry up and get to work. Once I finish eating and finish doing the video and everything, I'm going to start getting ready for work and head to work. I work today from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., which kind of sucks. But it's okay. Like I told you, I do work a full-time job. I never told y'all what I do, but I do work in the food industry. I've told y'all that before. It ain't that hard of a job. It's just like the hours kind of suck, really. Because I be hating like getting home so late, especially like when you wake up so early or when you have early mornings. It's like when you get home so late, it'd be hard to wake up early again the next day because like you so exhausted, so tired from the day before. Why do the lashes feel so bad, y'all? Please don't mind my lashes. Tonight, before I go to bed, like once I get off of work, I want to go ahead and dry that wig because I don't need that wig to be wet. I told y'all I get my hair done tomorrow, so I'm going to go ahead and dry that wig. And then I need to finish editing these mini reels. I'm going to try to edit them at work. I'm going to try to edit them at work so I can just show y'all tonight when I get off. If I don't get a chance to edit them at work, then I'm going to have to edit them when I get home tonight. And then I think that'll be it. It has been a very long and productive day, but I have gotten so much done. Three collab videos done. I edited the whole video. I did my thumbnail yesterday, so I don't have to worry about that. I washed my wig out. I'm going to work. This is just the productive, busy days I be talking about. Literally, the only thing I did not do that I wanted to do today was I did want to plan content for November, which I might still do that. I have my first two or three videos planned for November, but that's one thing I wanted to do. Then I wanted to go to the hair store, but like I said, I'm not in no rush to go to the hair store. I may still plan content whenever I get off work tonight. It honestly just depends on how your girl feels. I just made it back home and I'm about to start eating my food and finishing up this video. It did finish saving from the first time, so I'm about to go ahead and do the mini clip and then save it again for the second time and start eating. It's now 2.31. My video is uploaded to YouTube. No copyright strikes or nothing, so we are all good to go. I'm excited about that. I told y'all I work from 3 to 11 today, so I'm about to go ahead and head out and head there. I am so tired, but most days your girl don't take no naps. Like if I can get a nap in, that's a good day. That's a good day. The good thing is we did get so much done today and I know today was a good productive day. Like every day don't got to be a chill day and I've had multiple chill days, so I'm really proud of myself, really happy about how this video is coming along. And yeah, it's not even over yet, but I'm about to go to work, so I will get home around 11-ish. So I'm gonna see y'all tonight and we are gonna resume with whatever else we need to do. It's not much left, but whenever I see y'all tonight, we're gonna resume and then we're gonna be in this video. So I will see y'all later on. What's up, y'all? So it is a way later on and obviously I just made it back home from work and threw my bonnet on. First thing I do when I get in the house, I took that glue slip off and I threw on my bonnet, okay? I don't know if y'all can see it on me, if y'all can hear it on me or what, but I am literally so exhausted. I have a headache that's beaming. Today has been a long day. I will say that at work, I was able to get so much done, surprisingly. Y'all not even gonna believe what I'm about to tell you that I got done. First of all, I finished editing all those clips y'all just seen from this morning until when I was about to go to work. I edited all that, period. Secondly, I edited both of my TikToks for my hair and the glueless wig. I edited the TikTok from the little side table and I edited just a mini real TikTok that I've been meaning to post. So I edited four TikToks, posted one at the beginning of the video and I made the thumbnail. This is the thumbnail, y'all. Talk about multitasking because I got all of that done literally at work. And I'm gonna show y'all the TikToks that I made. One of them is gonna have to be with the volume. The other three are gonna have to be silent because it's music. One of them is a voiceover, so. Like literally the lace was pre-cut and everything. They did all the work for you. This wig was super soft and didn't need much maintenance when I threw it on. And let's talk about baddie on a budget because right now this wig is on sale. Make sure y'all run, don't walk because not only is this a real quick and easy hairstyle, but come on, it's good quality as well. Like, period. Like I said, the other one's gotta be muted because they got music on them. That's the second one for the wig. And this is the one for that side table. And then this was just like a shower routine one that I just needed to post. So yeah, if y'all's not following me on TikTok, y'all need to follow me right now, okay? But I do want to go ahead and answer some questions that I get asked a lot pertaining to my content lately. The first one is what kind of camera do y'all have? If y'all don't know, what kind of camera do I have? What I used to edit and all that is in the description box of every single video that I post. That's how I've been knowing who really be paying attention to my channel and who don't for real. But anyways, I have a Sony ZV-1. I've had it for about almost a year now, I think. If y'all remember, I broke the first camera that I had. I had to get a new one. But I've always had the Sony ZV-1. That's the only camera I've had. What I used to edit, I used CapCut to edit. I used Canva to edit all my thumbnails. CapCut to edit my mini reels for TikTok, for Instagram reels, for YouTube shorts, for YouTube videos. CapCut, that's all I use. I don't use nothing else. I do eventually, in the future, want to get into Final Cut Pro for my YouTube videos. But that will be when I get a laptop or something like that in the future. But as of right now, all I do is CapCut. Canva, thumbnails. What's another question I always get? How do you stay so consistent? Like I said the other day, like I said earlier today, you have to want it. I honestly do not know. I don't think consistency can be taught. I don't think you can learn how to be consistent. I think you just have to get out and do it. And honestly, multitasking will probably be your best bet because as y'all seen, I just got all of that content done. And this, I can honestly post this video tomorrow if I wanted to and just add these little clips in. You really just gotta want it for real life. Post some YouTube shorts. Post some YouTube videos. Post your TikTok. Post on Instagram. Whatever you want to do, just post. I promise it will pay off. I literally have hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok and I only barely hit 6k a couple days ago. The followers don't always matter. The followers do not always matter. Have fun with your content. Have fun making your thumbnails. Have fun editing. Try sound effects. Find good music. Oh, that's another question I get. Where do you get your music? I literally look up non-copyrighted music on YouTube. And the reason my music somewhat, kind of, sometimes sound different than other people's music is because I will literally keep searching until I find a song that I have not heard in a YouTube video. I literally try to stay away from the newer songs like I try to stay away from the new songs because those are the songs that everybody uses. So I would use all the older songs and you know from like a year ago, two years ago. The only thing is I've been doing YouTube for so long now I've kind of used all the songs. So now I feel like kind of like reusing songs and trying to find different songs and all that stuff. But there's also music on SoundCloud but I would say be careful with SoundCloud because it's very easy to get copyrighted with SoundCloud music. Yeah, just have fun with your content. Like if you want to start your channel, start it. Like I know so many people text me, ask me for advice and text me asking me for tips and everything. And I'm definitely open to giving tips and advice. I always text them back paragraphs. I give advice on me moving out, starting my YouTube, TikTok, all that stuff. When I started, I didn't have nobody to give me advice. So I was like doing all this stuff by myself, figuring all this stuff out by myself. It's still probably a lot of stuff I don't know to this day that I still have to figure out with time. Sometimes you will have to compromise. Like if you are so tired, but you know, you said you was going to post that video tomorrow and you ain't started it. Unless you like me and you can edit it one day. No, I'm just playing. But sometimes you got to stay up late until you finish it. Sometimes you got to wake up early. Sometimes you got to skip that nap, cancel them plans and get it done, honestly. But have fun with it. Like, yeah, it's a job. It can become a career, but make sure it's not something that you are like dreading doing. And I know some people like they dread doing it, which is why they like start taking breaks and stuff like that. But it's okay to take breaks. Honestly, at this moment, I've only posted five videos in October. Usually I'm probably at my seventh or eighth video by today's date, the 22nd. Usually by the 22nd, I'm at my seventh to eighth video. And I've only posted five videos count, including the one I posted today. So it's like sometimes it's okay to take a break and step back. You know what I'm saying? Me, y'all know I just juggle so many different things at one time. Like I was telling y'all earlier, I have two businesses. I do social media on three different platforms. Mind y'all, I have three different Instagram accounts, three Instagram pages, two TikToks, and then I do YouTube. So it's like sometimes I do Slack on other accounts. Like I'll Slack on my hair business account if I'm putting my all into my main page or if I'm putting my all into YouTube, I might Slack on TikTok. Or if I'm putting my all into TikTok, I might Slack on Instagram Reels. So it's like, it's okay. Just give yourself some grace. We are human. Honestly, the more consistent you are, the more dedication and effort you put into it, the better you will see yourself elevated and growing, period. This was my first time filming a video like this. I think, I don't think I've ever done a video like this. But I really enjoyed bringing you guys along with a very busy, chaotic day with me. So y'all can really see the ins and outs of what it takes for a smaller YouTuber. And I see myself as still a smaller YouTuber because I do eventually want to be able to leave my nine to five job. Or if I'm still working, like the nine to five be like on the back burner, not the other way around. Knowing that someone so busy can do it, I hope that that gives you motivation to be like, okay, if she can do it, I can do it. Or I can try to do it or something like that. You know what I'm saying? Because my life is not all glitz and glam as it seems. Everything does not go always as planned, but I still try to make a way to push my way out of our hard times and overcome the fact that shit don't always go as planned. But yeah, y'all, I'm about to go ahead and take a shower and call it a night. We have officially come to an end on our day because literally after I get in the shower, I'm going to bed and I gotta wake up early. I do need to blow dry that wig though. Yeah, I do need to blow dry that wig because I know I was telling y'all I get my hair done tomorrow, which is going to be a whole nother video that I'm starting tomorrow. So I don't film three different videos three days in a row. You gotta want it. I keep telling y'all you gotta want it. That's one thing I gotta do before I go to bed. I just need to blow dry that wig and then I think I got everything done for my to-do list. But the only thing I did not get to do was plan content and go to the hair store.
