Inter Miami CF vs. Atlanta United | Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs | Full Match Highlights

Ronald Hernandez not in the squad due to the flu bug. That means Lennon drops to right back after scoring his first playoff goal. The best regular season in MLS history. That's in the past. It's playoff time now for Inter-Miami. Game one. Round one. Best of three series. Atlanta United at Inter-Miami is underway. That's where they've been exposed throughout the entire regular season. They've got to keep an eye on Chiara. And more importantly, I think Maranchuk as he floats in and out of the midfield. Here's Jordi Alba for Inter-Miami. Through towards Diego Gomez. Leaves Suarez! Diego Gomez. But how many when the regular season began would have had Luis? Here they go. Gomez. Getting around Gregerson. Now Gomez back to Jordi Alba. Cuts it to Messi first time. Guzan pushes it away. Corner for Miami. You can't sleep for five seconds. You can't take your eye off of anything. Busquets right into Messi. Messi! Guzan the save. He had to touch it over. He was up to the task. A Brahman that's near post is so important. That in swinging ball can be a nightmare. Flicked on! Martinez off the post. Jordi Alba mishits it. Did that stay in play? It did. Here's Messi. On his right foot. Oh, there's left now. Curling. Headed away. Alba trying to settle. Now Busquets. Into the midfield. So then at times he can recycle possession for Inter-Miami. Suarez. Messi. Messi! Oh! Why don't! Guzan! Big save. Still, somehow, just 1-0. And we are talking about Atlanta United feeling comfortable. Well, they are as uncomfortable as they've been this entire game. What he probably would want, and certainly on decision day. New England's second. A goal that will be forgotten in the annals of history. Oh, Lovcinici! It's Sabatime again against Inter-Miami. He's a big game player. He levels the match for Atlanta United. His fourth goal this season against Miami. 2024 against Inter-Miami. And Lionel Messi. It's 1-1. Busquets, Jordi Alba. Into Suarez. Leaves for Gomez. Guzan will save. David Beckham looks on. Maranchuk. Charest is in! And it's wide! Again, short to Busquets. Jordi Alba. Oh, picks up. Wait, got it. Leaves it. Messi! Blocked by Williams. It's Messi. It's over the wall! And it's just wide with Guzan scrambling. There was no foul, says Alan Chapman. Can Miami break into space for Messi? Williams defending. Messi cutting it back. Sliding it for Gomez. Gomez! Guzan again! Punching away. And then McCarty composed. Messi to serve. Messi getting it back. And now Jordi Alba. He will try it! Oh! Simply sensational! To give Miami the gun top! 2-1! As good as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have been, you can make an argument. Their best player since June 1st has been Jordi Alba. Three goals, 12 assists in that span. The best left back in this league. The best left back in his generation. And the best friend of Lionel Messi. Big switch over to Busquets. And now Messi. And still. And into Suarez. And back to Messi. And Messi! Over. Corner. But this is how you get it, right? You keep your shape, and then you try to use the fresh legs that have come into the game and try to catch them on the counter. Schliess to Lobzhenitsa. Javier López defending. Lobzhenitsa, first time, saved by Kelly. Great run from Lobzhenitsa. David Martínez, Jordi Alba. In towards Suarez. Gomez! Poking at Messi! Oh, my goodness. Again, Brad Kazan. Messi, Yannick Bright, able to get it back to Busquets. Now Martínez. Martínez trying it from distance. Kazan, the save. Now Lobzhenitsa, Atlanta's goal scorer tonight. John De Silva. John De Silva! Woo! Not far away from providing that moment that Atlanta need. But we got Suarez into Messi. Messi flicking. Jordi Alba lets it bounce. Oh, gets it past Kazan. It's cleared off the line by Abram. Gray looking. Suarez heading over. Gomez. Can Suarez settle? Messi! Kazan again! He did all he could, but it's over. Inter-Miami, thanks to a wonderful winner from Jordi Alba, have taken game one of this round one best of three series.
