Mithra - The God Who Won the Hearts of the Roman Legions

Mithra is a Roman god associated with light, the sun, and loyalty, originating from ancient Persia, where he was revered as a god of truth and pacts. His cult became popular among Roman soldiers, who saw in Mithras a symbol of strength and protection. Celebrations to the god took place in caves and secret temples called mithraea, where initiation rituals were performed.
