FLUFFY Pancakes in Japan & American Airlines PREMIUM Economy Food Review

Good morning! I can't even believe this day is finally here I mean, I've been to Taiwan three times in the past year then to Korea a couple times How is it that I'm only just going back to Japan? but You know what? Who cares all that matters is that I'm going back. I just beyond, beyond excited It's like six o'clock in the morning. I think I woke up from my excitement at like 4:30. All right, let's go to the airport Came to realize, leaving at 6 a.m, hoping to avoid traffic in Los Angeles That does not work. It took me about almost an hour to get to the airport On the way to Japan and I'm flying to Haneda Airport I'm gonna be flying with American Premium Economy actually never flew with a US airline to Asia before so this will be really interesting What's gonna be kind of different about this trip is As you can see: there's nobody with me. So this is gonna be a more intimate personal trip And of course the filming style will be more like my my earlier videos more vlogging style. Just gonna go around by myself Eat some food, you know things you want to do on your own This is the premium economy For American, seats look pretty wide, really nice lot of legroom. I'm actually so excited right now And hungry, hope they feed us, i'll show you guys around Premium Economy class. I was lucky to get the front row here. There's nobody in front of me. Let's see how far the seat leans back Little storage bin The lean is pretty good Pretty comfortable I think this is a fairly new plane. Yeah, this is a really new plane. This is the 787, brand new plane. Seats are nice Not as cushy, but it's comfortable If no one is next to me, I get to sleep like this Full-size of the screen Really really big nice, love the screen. It's the first time like I've seen everything just kind of grouped together including headphones and Blankets and pillows Amenity kit here we go. Headphones Thank you, thank you so much. Coupon. Headphone cover. Socks, ooh, socks instead of slippers. Mouthwash. Tissues, Baby lotion lip balm. Shaving kit, and a pen! This is actually gonna be really useful! First what we have to eat. Grilled Beef Short Rib, or Mushroom Tortelloni. I think that's a pretty easy choice. So is this. Going for that! This is the beef and potato. Salad. Edamame beans, and a cheesecake. [Music] Salad is like a salad. It'd be a little better with some salt. Half a cheesy potato Ooh It's dinner/breakfast time. Some salad, Again, the cheesecake. Looks like just thin slices of beef, some marinated potatoes, scallions, vegetables. Yeah, Beef's good. Not extremely tender but it's really really flavorful. I like the nice crunch from the scallions. This is really saucy, I almost wish I had more rice because this is really really flavourful. The same thing goes for the potatoes, slightly sweet, savory. I didn't really expect this beef to be that tender It's not like super tough but I do love the flavor of this again. This is a pretty good dish for premium economy Ah, finally here! It's warm in this country. It's really just so thrilling to be here it almost feels a little bit like coming home So I just want to talk about the flight a little bit. I'm really really really pleasantly surprised Because usually like when i'm flying to Asia, I don't want to fly any US airlines because usually, you know, it's it doesn't have the greatest service It doesn't have the greatest food, but American Airlines Especially Premium Economy. Oh my god. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Like it's just a comfortable flight experience My flight was awesome with American, especially that beef, that was great. Now I gotta go to my hotel and prepare for my first video tonight Also, I forgot how polite everybody is here in this country like everyone the airport the security people the customs people It's everybody's so nice, it's so good to be back Really looking forward my first bowl of ramen today. Y'know you got to have that the first day This time I booked Nippon Seinenkan hotel? I booked my trip super late this time and so, a lot of hotels were already sold out. It's supposed to be really nice hotel And right now it's about 3 o'clock local time, which is probably midnight for me and I am oh man. I I really want to take a nap. Now it's a battle of do I want to sleep or do I want to eat? Yeah, usually I want to eat but I am really sleepy So fairly small room Oh, huh, I guess these, my pajamas This is cool, like I get to watch a baseball game for free from my room. Oh, Nothing here! It's clean, it's comfy not asking for much I'm rarely gonna be in this room Love that! Okay food now, I gotta go eat something All right so what I wanted to eat for my first meal and in Tokyo was some Ramen, but that ramen place I wanted to go to it's Basically, I won't be able to get it. Then I wanted some uhm, Soba, then the soba place I went to is closed for today and tomorrow so I I'm here at Maisen, and they are really known for their Tonkatsu Deep-fried pork and I really wanted their little sandwich which check this out is sold out. So not having a lot of luck, but I'm just gonna go in this restaurant cuz I'm starving right now and their pork is supposed to be amazing. So whatever I'm just gonna go eat After eating The ramen, That's another little reason I love this country Never far away from a vending machine. Really. I mean it could be anywhere What the heck peach Coco, I don't usually drink coke I gotta try this What in the name of soda Frankenstein is this? This is either gonna be really good or really bad, peach coca-cola I mean, I guess it makes sense right because cokes headquarters in Atlanta That's not bad I think i'd classify this under Interesting. That's all i can say. I see this long line see long line of people over there, I thought were waiting for a bus then notice they're All girls and then I see this across the street There's a little barricade and they're filming like they're filming something So I guess it's some Japanese celebrity is in there filming and they're watching And I guess they're waiting for Hopefully get a selfie or something? Maybe it's Tobayashi? I would wait in line for him. This is a crepe, it's literally a stick of cheesecake in there! 11 o'clock hours here, waiting in line, yay, we all got here early. And here it is I'm getting some fluffy pancakes for breakfast never had them before saw them on Facebook they look fluffy I like to eat things that are fluffy. I don't know what it is. This place is pretty simple they call it Happy pancakes and this one seems to be one of the most popular ones pancake with cheese mousse and berry sauce for about 1200 1300 yen I'm so excited because I need some happiness in my life And some fluffiness and this thing has both. and they tell you a little bit about it, apparently the honey for their pancake is from New Zealand The butter is from fresh milk from Hokkaido which is. That's the best and they use eggs from a chicken in good environment, which Good you have to have a good environment to have good eggs The only thing I don't like about this right now is it takes 20 minutes to cook. They're making fluffy pancakes being created That should be all pancakes life goals is to turn into this Soft whipped cream being added to a already soft pancakes Oh my gosh, here is my happy pancake. I'm already happy seeing it. Look how beautiful this is This is the cheese mousse whipped cream my berry sauce now here is the real Star of the show the essence of the pancake meal without the pancake, you know, it'll just be like cream Let's see it bounce. Look at this It's like a fork trampoline right now, look how bouncy this thing is, oh good lord it is beautiful! Alright, moment of truth time to dig into one of these things it's oh my oh wow It's even kind of hard to cut because it's so bouncy Let's take this apart. Oh And the inside you can see that it's super airy and light And I as soon as I cut this open, I just know the eggs right away whipped cream cheese mousse Berry sauce, I've been anticipating this bite for so long, like i pray don't disappoint me That didn't disappoint at all literally it is the airiest pancake lightest pancake I've ever had in my life Just want to try it piece of this with no sauce. No butter or nothing I feel like I could fly right now Oh, Don't need to chew it You can just let it sit on your tongue and it just melts. Also I love what accompanied this pancake on this plate I mean if you're gonna eat a cloud you need some whipped cream and this cheese mousse, you can taste how fresh, milky and creamy this is. Now I hundred percent know why these are called happy pancakes In every single bite I can't even remember my trouble anymore. I need these pancakes every time I'm having a bad day I mean, that's it. Take one bite. The troubles are gone You know how a lot of people go to bars to drink their troubles away I think somebody should open like a chain of like pancake bars you go in there you eat free pancakes I just feel really happy! if I was super rich I would have someone actually make me a bed out of these pancakes like just like oversized pancakes in the shape of a bed In there every night you're super shocked and wake up the next morning You don't eat breakfast eat your bed. By the way, you guys are coming here Just remember you need at least three of these pancakes per person Okay, if you have a kid and your kids like "daddy, I want to share with you!" or "mommy I want to share with you!" say no to that kid. Okay? Do not share this dish! Make sure each person at the table gets their own order! If your kids can't finish? Hey bonus pancake for you! But never share it because I guarantee you there's not gonna be no pancake! Get here early cuz I came here at 9:00 now There's a huge line. So many people here. A clothing store? Maybe that's like the 'Supreme' of japan? Im not even personally that big a fan of caramel but I think this is gonna be pretty good! Smells good Orange peel What I don't love about caramel is how it sticks to your teeth. But this one? Tell you what, it's buttery. I love the orange flavor if you like caramel, I think you will love this place Like, love it. I'll be tasting caramel for like the next eight hours. The pancake video and the Soba noodle video, the soba noodle video was really hard to film because well, they told me I can't film so I had to switch out the big camera and I started using my phone and a smaller camera, but I got it done. Now I'm gonna walk around, enjoy my caramel. Looking forward to dinner where I'm having A5 steak. All-you-can-eat A5 steak. This section is a little antique market I gotta get out of here! Little too crowded I think this is like some coffee thing tons of coffee around here I gotta find my way out. I think I've never been so glad to see vegetables in my life back at the farmers market Still a lot of people my goal is just to kind of get away from this whole area. Look at this thing Okay, some kind of pork. That's great. I'm going to an all-you-can-eat A5 buffet tonight, so nothing is going to my stomach until then. I got to maximize my steak intake this is really hard walking away from it though very difficult
