Mario here. Today I'm going to show you guys a little bit about the Master Prep and Set.
Each kit will come in two shades. One is lighter and one is darker. When you mix the two,
you can get sort of a mid-level shade or like a more neutral shade. What it is basically is
inspired by my technique of priming the eyes prior to makeup application and during eyeshadow
application. And so what I did was I came up with this product and kind of put my entire technique
that consisted of several products into this one product with this one sort of very useful brush.
So starting out with the EF-1 brush, I'm going to take the flat side of the brush here and I'm
going to take the lighter shade of the two. I'm just going to apply that all over her lid as an
eye base. Now this product can be buildable. She can go very light with it, but you also get quite
a bit of coverage with this. You can see there. I'm going to go ahead now and blend that primer.
I like to blend it with the powder side of the brush. You can blend it with a sponge,
your finger. In the summer months, it may be a little bit more dark and so you would use
a deeper shade. In the winter months, you may be a little bit more light and so you would use a
lighter shade or you mix the two and get somewhere in between. You can see here the deeper shade on
Fatuma blends pretty nicely into her skin. So this would be the most natural finish and the
lighter shade of the two here sort of has a more brightening effect. I'm going to go ahead now,
flip the brush over, just blend out the primer. All right, so I'm going to now set her eyelids
with the translucent powder. Now if you're using matte eyeshadows and you're going to use a sort
of light or medium shade all over the lid, then you don't even need to use the powder for that
because the matte eyeshadow would act as the setting powder. I'm going to take the EF-1 brush here,
the flat side, and I'm going to take the deeper shade of the Master Prep and Set. I'm just going
to apply all over. So this is going to even out the eyelids. It's going to serve as an eyeshadow
base. It's going to open and brighten the eyes. And just as a reference for you guys watching,
lots of different skin tones can use, for example, the medium. If I were to use this product, I would
use the medium on myself as well. I would use this and if I'm tan, I could use the darker one or mix
the two. Eye primer doesn't have to be the same exact shade as your skin. Typically, you want to
go a little bit lighter. You can see now with Jasmine, this shade of the primer is going to
really open up and brighten the eyes and make the eyeshadows pop because it's a lighter shade than
her skin tone. Okay, so now that we have applied the primer, I'm going to go ahead now. I'm going to flip
the EF-1 brush over onto the fluffy side here. I'm going to grab just a little bit of this
translucent powder here. I'm going to set that in place. Now, Jasmine's eyes are all prepped and set.
She is ready for eyeshadow application or she can just leave it as is and go on about her day.
And don't forget, you can use the translucent powder as well throughout the day just to powder
little areas and reduce shine in little areas on the face wherever you need it. The master prep and
set in the shade light and you will notice that the deeper shade in this one is pretty similar to
her skin tone but I'm going to go ahead and prime her eye with the lighter shade. Of course, you
could use deeper or lighter or you could mix the two and get a more neutral shade. The lighter shade
here is more pink undertone and this one here is more warm. I'm going to go ahead now with the
lighter one. Apply that with the flat end of the EF-1 brush that I designed for this product. I'm
going to now flip my brush over and I'm going to just blend out the edges a little bit. Again,
you can use your finger. So now that the primer is complete, I'm going to flip over the EF-1
to the fluffier side of the brush, dip into the translucent powder and just
lightly dust over the primer to set it.
