Très heureux de vous dévoiler ce petit bijou qui m'a pris plusieurs années de travail dans mon coin...

Cela fait maintenant au moins quatre ans que je travaille sur Ethereal Rails sur mon temps libre. Ce projet a évolué au fil du temps. Cette longue période de travail a permis de peaufiner chaque aspect du film pour créer une expérience originale.

Ethereal Rails, mon second film en VR 360, est une invitation au voyage initiatique où le spectateur est emporté dans une expérience immersive en train. Ce voyage débute au cœur de la Paris, traverse des paysages brumeux et boisés, où l’urbanisation commence à se faire sentir. Les tags allemands apparaissent sur les murs et ponts, symboles de la rencontre entre la nature et l’urbanité. Le train avance, transportant le spectateur à travers les Alpes suisses, dévoilant des sommets majestueux et des vallées cachées, avant de descendre vers les orangers du sud de l’Italie, où la lumière dorée transforme l’atmosphère en une chaleur méditerranéenne apaisante.

Il s’agit d’un passage symbolique, un voyage à travers l’imaginaire et les émotions, où chaque paysage reflète un état d’esprit ou une étape de la transformation intérieure. La VR 360 permet au spectateur d’être non seulement un témoin mais un acteur, immergé dans ce mouvement perpétuel entre nature et rêve, réel et imaginaire.

Dans une œuvre muséographique, Ethereal Rails s’intégrerait comme une expérience multisensorielle, où les spectateurs, équipés de casques VR, pourraient ressentir chaque vibration du train, entendre le souffle du vent alpin et l’arôme des orangers. Ce serait une exploration non seulement visuelle mais aussi sonore, avec des enregistrements sonores naturels in situ pour renforcer l’immersion. L’installation pourrait même inclure des éléments interactifs, où chaque spectateur pourrait influencer subtilement la vitesse du train ou découvrir des paysages cachés en fonction de leur regard.

L’œuvre met en lumière le dialogue entre la nature et l’esprit, proposant un cheminement poétique à travers des paysages réels et fictifs qui résonnent comme autant de métaphores des transformations humaines.

Ethereal Rails, my second VR 360 film, is an immersive, initiatory journey that takes viewers on a train ride through a series of breathtaking landscapes. The voyage begins in the heart of the Black Forest, where misty woods evoke a sense of mystery and untamed nature. As the train moves forward, the viewer is transported through the majestic Swiss Alps, with its hidden valleys and towering peaks, before descending towards the sun-kissed orange groves of southern Italy, where the warm Mediterranean light envelops the scene in a golden glow.

However, this film is more than just a physical journey. It is a symbolic passage, a movement through imagination and emotion, where each landscape reflects a state of mind or stage in an inner transformation. The VR 360 format allows the viewer not only to witness but to participate, fully immersed in the continuous flow between nature and dream, reality and imagination.

In a museographic context, Ethereal Rails would be a multisensory experience. Viewers, equipped with VR headsets, would feel the vibrations of the train, hear the alpine winds, and even catch the scent of the orange groves. The installation could include interactive elements, allowing each participant to subtly influence the train’s speed or unlock hidden landscapes based on where they look.

The piece highlights the interplay between nature and the mind, offering a poetic journey through both real and imagined landscapes, which serve as metaphors for human transformation.
