Investing in America: The Midwest Manufacturing Boom centers on Ingeteam in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where union workers are building and repairing wind turbine generators to power America’s growing clean energy economy. Ingeteam’s investments in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley are helping usher in the next chapter of this city’s long manufacturing story and moving America closer to a net-zero future.

In August 2023, President Biden visited Ingeteam’s Milwaukee facility ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Midwest Manufacturing Boom is the third video in DOE’s new clean energy jobs series. It follows "A New Iron Age" and "A Future Forge of Steel", which spotlight workers in Weirton, West Virginia, and Butler County, Pennsylvania, producing clean energy technologies and sparking new energy in their communities.
