This is the ocean fronting portion of what will be the newest luxury build in Hoakalei.
So right now we are at Oneula.
If you're from Hawaii, you may know this beach park as Hau Bush.
This is some place that I used to frequent.
I had my best girlfriend, Kim, used to live on Papipi.
Back in the day when we were in intermediate and high school, my dad actually taught me
how to surf right here at this beach.
You know, it looks a little bit different now.
It's a lot more cleaned up than it used to be, but you know, still kind of has the remnants
of like classic Hau Bush that we all know and love from growing up here in Hawaii.
What's going to make this really different though is this new build that's going to be
happening right behind us here.
Just beyond that fence on the other side of that wall, all the way this way, it's going
to wrap around a little bit.
The end there is going to be where Waikai is, but this is all going to be 32 homes.
The last portion, the last piece to come up in the Kuapapa development, and this is going
to be kind of the crown jewel, the most luxurious homes, the nicest, biggest homes you can find
in Hoakalei.
All right guys, so we're going to dig out of here and we're going to meet up with Kenny
from our team.
He actually lives in Hoakalei.
He drives by this area all the time.
He's kind of got a bird's eye view, has been watching the development come up, so I wanted
to make sure that we looped him in today so he can share a little bit more about what
he knows.
What you doing in my neighborhood?
How's it?
All right.
You guys know Kenny.
So he met up with us here.
He lives right around the block here in Hoakalei.
So right now we're standing at an interesting crosshair of Kuapapa, kind of the ocean front
before.
It was.
You know, this was the most ocean front you could get before and directly across the street
now, Keikainani.
All right.
So as we're walking by, we can tell that this is one of each model because these are three
different models.
So Ilima, this first one, single story, and then probably the Pohinahina and the Naupaka
right next to it.
I think the Naupaka is in the middle.
Yeah.
It looks like that's the big one.
Yeah.
Based on framing and floor plan, it looks to be the biggest in the middle and then Pohinahina
on the end.
This is a cul-de-sac.
If you turn right, you're going right back into Kuapapa, one of the alleyways where the
separated detached garages are.
But this is it.
There's only 32 lots.
So you can see that they are building these right now.
They've already gotten started.
We're starting in the low two millions, going all the way up into the threes.
Now this is a higher price point than say like a new construction release in Ho'opili,
which is around a million dollars, right?
So I think the buyer pool might look a little bit different and the competition might look
a little different, but the urgency is there.
If you are interested in it, make sure you call us as soon as possible so that we can
get you signed up and get that information over to you.
I felt like these were very aspirational price points that they're putting out with just
three floor plans.
So it'll be interesting if they dial things in one way or another.
Well, did you happen to see what the highest most recently sold property?
Oh, okay.
I thought mid ones was where I was going to find it, but I just popped one up.
It's a 3,500 square foot house, five bed, four and a half bath.
It's about the same size as these are going to be, and I'm sure that's what they're planning
to add on as far as what their price points are coming up.
So these homes should certainly be worth more than these homes right across the street.
They're one, newer, two, oceanfront.
Let's talk oceanfront.
Sometimes when we think oceanfront, we think like North Shore, cut to the news article
of the house falling down into the ocean at sunset.
That's what we think of when we think oceanfront a lot of the times.
This is not quite that.
It's ocean view for sure.
I don't think they're saying oceanfront.
There's a wall, literally these elevated homes are elevated.
There's about a 15 foot ish drop down to Halbush, which is the beach park that is providing
us these south facing views out into the water.
So we started the video down there on the other side of that wall.
And from there, it kind of just looks like a, like a fortress of sorts.
You know, you can't really see the houses up here because it's set up higher.
I would call it oceanfront, but it's not, you're not walking to the beach.
You're going down the street and around.
We talk about front row a lot when we're talking about things like Ward Village, you know,
front row means there's no other building or structure between you and the ocean.
These are certainly front row, kind of oceanfront, but ocean fronting.
We're not allowed to go on the site itself, but even from just the sidewalk vantage point,
I can already see ocean.
So I imagine even the bottom floor of these homes, but especially the two level, the two
story homes are going to have like fantastic unobstructed ocean views.
Behind us here is the future site of where these homes are going to be.
Now, this is a Haseko build, the newest Haseko build.
They feel like what we imagine like Texas mansions to look like, except oceanfront and
in Hawaii. And you know, the price point is going to be different too, because oceanfront
in Hawaii. Right.
So smallest model is going to be the Ilima, three bedroom, three and a half bath.
You're dealing in luxury when you get more bathrooms than bedrooms.
A little over twenty four hundred square feet, two car garage plus, you know, extra driveway
and parking. And that's a single level.
So for our Ohanas or our families who maybe are aging in place, we're looking at
retirement plan. You know, our sunset of our life is like a nice, enjoyable one.
And we don't need to worry about building out any ADA compliant anything.
Yeah. That model will be perfect for you guys.
Maybe a step up to the front door or something.
Easy ramp. But it's single level at that kind of square footage is rare here.
Next model up is the Hujirahira, which is two story.
Five bed, four and a half, four and a half.
And then the biggest one, I think, is five, five and a half.
Yeah. So you're slumming it in the Pohinohina, because there's a five bedroom,
but only a four and a half bath.
That one uncle get the bedroom without the...
Obviously, we're being ridiculous.
There's no such thing as slumming it in Hoakalei.
And certainly four and a half baths for five bedrooms is, I feel like, sufficient.
And then the biggest one is our Naupaka.
Do you guys know the story of Naupaka?
Look in our other videos. You've probably seen the Naupaka plant.
Naupaka is like a half blooming flower.
There's two types. One grows by the ocean.
One grows by the mauka side, mountain side.
The blooms, they say, are like two forbidden lovers in ancient mythology.
So they're separated from one another and they can't grow in the same place.
So one only thrives down here towards the ocean.
The other only thrives up the mountain.
So Naupaka, Google it.
I think that's beautiful.
And also one of the homes is named after it.
And Naupaka is a common plant that we'll probably see right down there.
Pro tip from locals.
Break the Naupaka leaf in half and rub it into your snorkel gear.
Works just as good as baby shampoo for anti-fog.
Back to realist. Yes, try it with the boys.
Yeah, put it in the goggles.
The amount of Vaseline I had to put on when the last time I went snorkeling
because the beard is nice.
Well, I'm not going to do that.
But it'll help with the fogging.
Your beard, you're on your own.
You gotta shave that bad boy off or live the Vaseline life.
I'm not shaving it off.
OK, so Naupaka is five bed, five and a half bath.
Also a two level, 4,100 plus square feet.
The home is massive.
The floor plans are crazy.
There's a courtyard in the middle.
Now, truly just very unique for Hawaii.
Like if I had to split hairs and I had to like be negative,
I would say that Hoakalei is super homogenous and it is very everything.
Same, same.
I could easily get lost here because everything looks the same.
So which street do I turn on?
There isn't that unique home on the corner, any kind of landmark.
Yeah, I agree with that.
So that courtyard, what you're saying, yeah, that's not normal.
Right. Even within everything that they make here.
So there's a little bit of a break.
I'll go back to the positive.
These homes are going to look a little bit different.
There are very, very select, few, very high demand homes
that have a driveway and a garage attached.
If I was to turn Kenji around, I don't know that I'd be able to point
at any one of these homes that actually has a garage attached to the home.
The single levels typically do.
Even those don't have a driveway.
So a driveway and a garage is very unique and up level here.
For sure.
All of the new developments in Ewa Beach, really, and especially in a nicer
development like Hoakalei, where not every road is a road you can park on.
Correct.
Having that extra, you know, square footage, that extra land
on your parcel that is designated for yourself
and your guests to park is very valuable.
There's a previous video that I did with Derek where we talk about
there is some street parking, but it's only on one side of the street, not both.
And the pros and cons to that, having a little bit easier path to drive
and not having to squeeze and do the one way coming to and from.
The only other thing I was going to say to the positive side,
that courtyard thing is I'm excited to see what that's going to end up
looking like, like a little outdoor foyer.
Yeah, it feels almost a resort.
You want to put like a water feature in there.
And I think it'll be really cool.
That's kind of where I was going with that, too, is where all of this stuff
kind of just feels and looks the same.
While there's only three models here, it's very selective.
There's only 32 homes in this whole last piece here,
and they're going to look different from anything else we've ever seen in Hoakalei.
So I'm pretty excited to see what they look like.
I know without a doubt they're all going to have fantastic views.
I know without a doubt they're going to be easily accessible to Waikai.
And I mean, it took us two minutes to drive in here from Hull Bush.
You're literally just down this road, left, right, right.
And you're on the bottom side of this wall.
Yeah, I'd be curious because most of these homes have the vinyl fencing.
Yeah. I wonder if they're going to put that on top of these smaller pony walls
or if they're going to leave it open for view.
I would want to do something different there.
I would not want to put up most maybe like picket fence
or like something like a wrought iron.
That's one thing we should talk about, too.
Even these homes on the opposite side of the street here, I've shown properties
their common theme and these homes here as close as we are to the ocean
is the saltwater, you know, the saltwater in the air.
Pros and cons, right?
Like I think there are a lot more pros.
But if you're going to live here and you're going to be this close to the water,
that's something you definitely want to pay attention to and be mindful of
is the things you need to do to take care of all the metal elements
in your home, your cars, your toys, all of that.
When you live this close to the saltwater.
All right, guys.
