OMBE Four Lines: Unlock Effortless Surfing with Power, Speed, and Flow

FANATIC SURFING

Paddling, positioning, your pop-up, your stance,
you learn how to generate speed, compress and extend,
get the timing right with surfing.
In the pocket, there's three turns in surfing.
One's a pivot, one's a twist, and one's a lean.
If you surf with flow, you'll be able to find
the power and the speed that you're looking for in a wave.
You will be amazed at how quickly your surfing improves,
but how good it feels on the next lineup.
We purposely did not call this beginner, low-intermediate,
high-intermediate, advanced, and the reason for that
is that you're gonna have good days and bad days.
And what I mean by that is that some days
you may be more uncomfortable than other days,
and you may feel like you're regressing.
It's not, it's all, it's you just measuring up
the risk versus the reward.
So sometimes going backwards to another line
and understanding what's going on,
it can help you move forwards.
A line one surfer, their main focus is all about balance,
and they're feeling a little bit overwhelmed
about all the information that they have to take on,
and they're not quite sure what they need to do.
You need to navigate paddling, positioning,
your pop-up, your stance, how to potentially turn a board,
and learn how to trim.
If you're struggling on any of those,
we're gonna help you with any of those problems
where you may be stuck.
With the line two surfer, you would have needed
to change your equipment,
because you're gonna find that the board isn't fit
when you start taking steeper
and hollower green-faced waves.
A line two surfer has spent a lot of time in foamies
and green waves getting stuck behind the section.
Their most important thing that they want
is to learn how to generate speed.
It's all about the speed in line two,
and they're gonna learn how to compress and extend,
get the timing right with surfing in the pocket,
and learning how to use their board to generate speed,
how to coordinate their bodies to generate speed,
but also to be in the right part of the wave
to be able to generate that speed.
If you're struggling with your hand-eye coordination,
your trimming, and generating speed in the wave,
and you're still getting stuck behind the sections,
there are so many tools and tricks and techniques
and skill acquisitions that we have developed
to help you with navigating speed generation in line two.
In line three, once again, you would have changed equipment
for potentially a smaller, more manageable board
that generates speed really well.
Now, along with the speed generation,
there comes the different types of turns.
There's three turns in surfing.
One's a pivot, one's a twist, and one's a lean.
If you're going slowly on a board,
you may have to twist to turn.
If you're going fast, you're gonna lean to turn the board.
And also positioning, if you're going vertical,
you may pivot to turn your board.
So in line three, we're trying to figure out
how to generate the speed, and with how fast I'm going,
what type of turns I need to do.
So there's a lot of playing around,
trying to figure out the equipment, the waves,
the skill acquisition that you need
for this particular line.
It's a lot of fun, but if you're stuck,
which a lot of people do sometimes get stuck
because they have some of the techniques
inverted and the wrong way around,
we've got you covered with all the programs
on how to achieve this.
With the line four surfer,
line four is all about being a smarter surfer.
So you're trying to surf a board
that offers you more control to surf more in the pocket
so that you get more feeling.
That feeling that we're talking about
is the power in the wave drawing the water up,
and it's the speed in the wave
where the wave throws the water down.
If you simply follow the energy in the wave
and take the part that leaves resistance,
in other words, if you surf with flow,
you'll be able to find the power and the speed
that you're looking for in a wave.
And then when you join speed and power with flow,
you will be perceived as surfing effortlessly.
But what it is, is that you've been able
to develop the pattern recognition
to understand before the time what the wave's doing,
and then you're applying the right amount of speed
and the right amount of turn to the right section
at the right time and the right place.
And this is an absolutely great journey to be on.
If you're running hot and cold on this,
again, we have all the different programs
that you'll need to get the consistency
that you're looking for.
The way that we get you to progress through your lines
is by focusing on OMBE,
which is ocean, mind, body, and equipment.
Now, OMBE is simply helping you to focus
on the thing that is moving the fastest,
which is the wave.
Then it's your decision-making.
Then it's your body, which is your skills,
and then your board will follow your body.
So by getting that order right from fastest to slowest,
and then taking that into the water
and changing your line,
you will be amazed at how quickly your surfing improves,
but how good it feels on the next line up.
The awesome thing about online
is that you can go about it at your own pace,
at your own speed, and you can always refer back to it.
However, we do understand that sometimes you get stuck
and you might be needing that personal interaction
to help you get over a certain situation.
So we encourage you to contact us in OMBE,
and we can look at alternatives
as to how we can coach you,
whether it's in person, whether it's a video call,
or whether you book a OMBE retreat or a surf trip with us.
