HIGHLIGHTS | FC Twente vs. Chelsea FC - UEFA Women's Champions League 24-25

Into their domestic lead and they've won all three. So Chelsea under new manager Sonia Bompastor looking to maintain their 100% start to the season. So it appears that late change was Johanna Ritting-Conard in for Lauren James. Unsure why that late change. We'll try and clear that up as Ritting-Conard comes forward. Aggie Beaver-Jones with the effort takes a hefty deflection and Chelsea are in front in only six minutes. And it's Aggie Beaver-Jones her first goal in the Champions League for Chelsea. Sonia Bompastor put faith in her this evening and she's delivered. All too easy. Good defending from VLEC forces. Baltimore all the way back to Bjorn. Slid into Lawrence. Can Germano create the space? Yes she can. Can't find the finish though. Goal kick for FC Twente. Chelsea come forward again. Germano goes for the long-range effort and oh dear Olivia Clarke will not want to watch that one back again. Micah Germano with a moment of genius. Spotted the goalkeeper off a line and thought why not. And Chelsea lead by two goals to nil. Again far far too easy. Nice little one-two and she's really far out. Gets great flight on the ball to lift it over the goalkeeper and for it to dip down at the right moment. Her first goal at this level. Chelsea back in control. Germano gives the ball away. Andradottir slides it into the path of Pettimore who goes for the long-range effort. Wayward attempt in the end. Chelsea try to play out from the back. Good pressing from the Dutch side. Can they create something from this? It's a good save by Mucevic. Gets away from Tbreka. Baltimore now. Good delivery. Cleared it the first time of asking. Perisic now draws it across. Clarke spills it and Kalle tries to clear alongside the German champions Bayern Munich. The French champions Lyon and the Spanish champions of course and the reigning champions Barcelona. Germano stabs it out. Ritinkaner goes for the long-range effort straight down the throat of Olivia Smith. But after seeing those two long-range efforts go in, the Chelsea players will fancy their chances from range this evening. Germano back to Lawrence and that's really good control from Jean-Francois. Brighton now finds Beaver-Jones. Ritinkaner trying to get it back on her left foot to take the strike. Wins the corner. Slides it out to Van Dijk. Momentum of the move. Lost really. Not the best ball from Andras Dottir. He's in possession again now. Can FC Twente recycle this possession to create another opportunity? Playoffs is the referee advantage. Ashley Lawrence is back. The ball back across the face of goal though the effort from the captain is straight. Johanna Ritinkaner in. Calls for Germano on the edge of the box. Can she get her shot away? And that wasn't far away from Ramirez. Her first touch is on the ball. Goes past her marker. Goes down. Surely that's a penalty? The referee took a minute but points to the spot. Kalle with the dive. Reckless really in the box. Nowhere near the ball. Ramirez has cut the ball away from her. Chopped it away from her. Clear it. So Guru Wrighton then makes it Chelsea three. Cool penalty from Chelsea's Norwegian attacker. Their top goal scorer this season and Chelsea extend their lead here in the Netherlands. The penalty won by Mayra Ramirez. FC Twente. That's a good looking ball. Van Dijk onto it. Just to keep it a beat and she does. FC Twente have a goal against Chelsea and it is Van Dijk. Really good finish to beat the goalkeeper. It may be a consolation goal but it's something for those fans to cheer. Nikkei Van Dijk. Really good run. Natalie Peel was always behind her. She just placed it wide enough that Musevic couldn't keep it out. Last minute tired action. Young 16 year old Rose Evans and that's fallen for Ravens. Bergen who could only fire it straight at Musevic. The director's coming on though. Chelsea took the lead early on on the seventh minute. Aggie Beaver-Jones with a deflected effort.
