I tried surfing in TOFINO. Was it WORTH IT?

We traveled to Tofino BC to see what all the hype is about. Tofino is home to Canada’s best surfing so I had to give it a try. I booked my lesson with Pacific Surf Co. and it took place on Cox Beach where the waves were gentle enough for beginners that day. Everything was very well organized and I would recommend this surf shop to anybody considering lessons in Tofino.
After my lesson, we also explored the downtown area of Tofino and then visited Long Beach, a 16.6 km white sand beach and another favorite with surfers. This time, though, we rented boogie boards to ride the waves in the shallows. It was a blast. We can definitely say that Tofino is worth visiting.
