How To Look S3xy On A First Date (feat. Louise Roe) (Matthew Hussey, Get The Guy)

So, Louise, I was saying in the car, don't be having a...
You're already having a go.
I haven't even told you what I was trying to achieve with it.
I love this T-shirt.
OK, here's what I was thinking in the car.
Here's the thing.
Regardless of whether I did a good job of dressing myself today,
after the next few minutes with Louise,
we're all going to know how to be much, much sexier.
We did a TV show.
Yeah.
No, you did a TV show.
It was your show, Plain Jane.
We do go way back.
I would makeover women and help boost their confidence in many ways,
like jumping out of aeroplanes and, you know,
having real psychological moments together.
And Matt was the incredible dating expert,
and he came on and taught these women how to be sexier.
I was a part of that show.
Louise went on to write a book called Front Row,
which you were telling me applies fashion to building your confidence.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
Fashion and makeup and hair and all the things that women can
adorn themselves with in order to feel more confident on the inside.
I hate both extremes.
When anyone says the outside and what you do on the outside
is the answer to all of your problems, that's an issue.
And when anyone says all you have to do is just be you,
I always think, well, that's missing the point as well.
Well, you and I were chatting recently and I said,
let's do something together again.
And I said, how about our outfit ideas for a first date?
Because a first date could be the stereotypical romantic dinner.
That's great. We're going to cover that.
But it also might be something really casual, like a picnic in the park.
It might be going to a game together.
It might be going to the beach for a walk or shopping or anything.
So why not? Why not go in armed with those things that will
kick the date off as well as it could possibly go?
And I like the nuance between different kinds of dates
because it's the idea of a first date is far too generic.
Life doesn't really work like that.
Should we go shopping?
Let's do it.
I actually love this outfit.
Do you?
Yeah, I genuinely do.
It's sexy, but you're not trying too hard.
I'm so happy you said that because that is my goal for dating.
I think women shouldn't...
I'm going to come over and chat to you.
You shouldn't be afraid to be a bit more casual.
I'm wearing sneakers, but they're cute white sneakers.
The one thing I hate is when you see someone who comes to a date
where maybe you are going to walk somewhere or whatever
and they're wearing these giant heels.
Think about where you're going and what you're going to do
and then plan your outfit around that.
But you want to still look a bit sexy.
And so instead of a crew neck, I've gone for a v-neck t-shirt.
It's quite thin cotton and I have done my hair and makeup.
Yeah, I like this a lot.
This has my thumbs up.
Not that my thumbs up counts for anything, but it does have my thumbs up.
Next.
Ah, okay.
Yeah, I love it.
I love it.
It's very summery.
It's a bit Riviera chic.
A bit Riviera chic.
You said it so much better than I did.
Riviera chic.
When you wear lighter colours for summer, like stripy blue and white jeans,
you shouldn't wear them with dark black boots or strappy heels.
I love it.
I actually love this outfit.
It's growing on you, isn't it?
If you just...
Okay, here's the hard part.
If you just pointed out this top to me on a rack,
I wouldn't know if I'd like it or not.
But when you put it all together with everything else, it looks great.
Good.
Yeah, I like it.
All right, this is the third and final.
You're doing well.
So you're two for two.
Two for two.
Let's see what the last one is.
The last one's going to ruin it all.
Do you feel any pressure to react to certain things?
I feel pressure to like it, but I don't feel like...
No, but I don't feel like I have to.
I think the leather jacket on top sort of makes it for me.
Should I be worried that without the leather jacket, it would look too formal?
The fact that the dress is quite loose makes it not too over the top.
I like that there's a little splash, a smattering of colour on the heels.
I would never have said I like those shoes, by the way,
if I saw them just on the ground, not on legs.
They're a bit different to usual, and you just said, you know,
we've seen all these kind of crisscross, crisscross type black shoes,
which are great, but sometimes they're intimidatingly sexy
and they've got like a six-inch stiletto heel ready to stab you,
whereas these are a bit more ladylike.
Oh, and also the leather jacket.
Throw it over your shoulders.
Don't put your arms in.
Yeah, that's just a personal thing.
I just think it's kind of chic.
Another tip.
Forget the jacket entirely, because then you have to borrow the date.
Yeah, that's good.
And then here's a really good tip.
If you go to the loo and you spritz a bit of your perfume on it,
and then it'll smell of you, and subconsciously he will be reminded of you.
That's so sneaky.
I did that to my now husband, who's over there.
Do you know that?
You got sucker punched by the scent.
I borrowed his sweater.
I actually spritzed the shit out of it.
Yeah.
It was all over it.
And then a couple of weeks later, he was like, oh, this smells of you.
And I was like, duh, I clearly haven't washed it.
See, girl?
Best tip ever.
Really scared of you now.
All right, my work here's done.
That's really scary.
When I mind trick fashion.
This video's turned so dark.
Matt!
No, I like that you're in all black when you're saying this tip.
Oh my goodness.
No, this is really good.
I love it.
I love every part of it.
So which was your favourite date look?
That's actually hard, because I now am thinking in terms of scenarios,
and I feel like everyone was appropriate for its scenario.
I love the first one, though.
I thought you might say that.
Because you can do that anywhere.
You can wear that anywhere, can't you?
Casual is sexier than you think, right?
Yeah.
Casual, sexy, chic.
Thanks for coming.
I had so much fun.
Thank you.
Thanks for having me.
And also, thanks for the dress that you bought me that you don't know that you bought me.
Thanks.
Bye.
Ha ha.
Very funny.
Wait, why does my wallet smell of Louise?
Mackenzie!
She's done it again.
Somebody stop her!
Thank you so much, guys, for watching.

Louise is giving away a free Skype consultation on your style.
Yep.
I will talk to you live, go through your likes and dislikes and closet,

Basically, a personal styling session online.
Which nobody gets, by the way.
I mean, that's an incredible thing.
So the only way to get that is by downloading the guide.
If you download the guide right now, you'll be in for a shot.
We'll pick someone at random from all of those people.
