Korean actors for sure lit up our screens with their fantastic performances in dramas.
Sometimes behind the spectacular performances, their mother's hard work played a huge role
which pushed them to become successful. And this can be better explained by Ji Chang Wook.
Ji Chang Wook can steal anyone's heart with his charming smile and charismatic looks.
He is popular for the drama series Suspicious Partner, The K2 and many more.
Though he may appear all bubbly and sharpie, Ji Chang Wook grew up with a single mother
and life was pretty much difficult while growing up. In the TVN variety show You Quiz on the Block,
he revealed he still stays with his mother and tries his best to make things easier for her.
He further revealed that his mother is his driving force and as a son he wants to protect her wealth.
Ever since Ji Chang Wook's father passed away, his mother ran two small restaurants by herself,
a BBQ and a spicy fish stew restaurant, which was taxing. Ji Chang Wook used to do a part-time job
with his best friend who is now the CEO of his agency. They have been best friends for 20 plus
years. While doing the part-time job, Ji Chang Wook had big goals and that he must not make his
mother worry about finances. But a point came when Ji Chang Wook realized rather than buying
materialistic things, it was better to spend time with your loved ones. He also said that after a
bad or stressful long day at work, when he comes home, seeing his mother eating, watching TV
or just doing simple things is enough to brighten up his mood.
Kim So Hyun So Hyun, one of the most successful and high-spirited actors in the world of K-dramas,
has a special place in all our hearts because of his perseverance and hard-working nature.
So Hyun may look like he was born with a golden spoon, but it was far from the truth. He grew up
with a single mother as his father, Kim Chang Hun, a 90s singer and a member of the rock band
Seven Dolphins, left his family for another woman. Since then, So Hyun's mother worked
tirelessly to provide for their family. They used to live in a rented house and So Hyun grew up
watching his mother struggle immensely. He had a strong will to make up for all the hard work
she did for him. In 2012, his wish became a reality as he finally was able to shift to a
lease house with his mother. Now success runs after him to the point So Hyun owns three expensive
units in the Galleria for it, which is like an ultra-luxurious apartment complex in Seoul.
He thanks his mother for the man he is now. It was all thanks to his mother's constant
motivation and support that shaped So Hyun the way he is now. So Hyun's notable works include
Queen of Tears, It Is Okay Not To Be Okay, Choi Jin Hyuk. Known for his popular hit works Miss
Night and Day, The Heirs, and The Last Empress, Jin Hyuk is someone who cherishes and respects
his mother immensely. He often spends time with his mother and has appeared in the SBS reality show
My Little Old Boy, where their playful yet funny mother-son bond was depicted in the most wholesome
yet hilarious way ever. During that segment, you will get to see Jin Hyuk's playful bantering with
his mother and how clumsy Jin Hyuk is at times that he forgets his wallet while going outside.
Jin Hyuk's mother kept multiple ledgers where she jolted down all the moments and expenses
done by his son or how he helped her, which was emotional to see that how deeply his mother
cherishes the past memories. There the two shared everything about their life and how they went
outside to spend time by the seaside. So, In Guk. In Guk, the famous actor known for his hit works
Doom at Your Service, Reply 1997, and Death's Game, is a total softie when it comes to his
mother and his family. He had a rough childhood filled with poverty, but that was the trigger for
him to lead a humble life even after becoming successful. So, In Guk is extremely down to earth.
In an interview, when asked about the type of bond he shared with his family,
he respects his parents immensely and loves his younger sister, So Bo Rum, to death,
though she is married now. Their childhood was rough as growing up, there were days they barely
had any food to eat. In Guk's mother used to collect cardboard boxes from the garbage and
recycle them in order to earn money and his father as a welder. In the KBS variety show Mama Mia,
it was heartwarming as So In Guk came with his mother, there they talked about their hard times.
Also, the hilarious part was that it was the show where In Guk learned about the fact he came to
existence because of his parents' one-night stand, which made him feel so embarrassed.
To thank his mother for all the hard work she did throughout her entire life, In Guk purchased
a coffee shop under her name and remodeled it to make sure it was to his mother's taste, as a gift.
He is a charming son indeed.
