Intangible Cultural Heritage is the gene and lifeblood of the Chinese nation, harboring unique historical imprints, cultural memories, spiritual connotations and aesthetic interests. Thanks to inheritance and innovative creation, Chinese cultural heritage has been shining brightly till now. In order to showcase the treasures of Shanxi’s intangible cultural heritage, exhibit the techniques of intangible cultural heritage, make ancient wisdom intertwine with trendy styles, and let the profound history collide with the pulse of the times, Yellow River TV Station has meticulously planned and launched a series of short videos with the title Inheritors (Season 1). Through diverse audio-visual presentations, this series tells the stories of the ingenuity of ten inheritors of intangible cultural heritage techniques, including Su’s Colored Glaze Firing Technique, Pingyao Polished Lacquerware Technique, Jiangzhou Chengni Inkstone Making Technique, Qiao’s Fahua Ware Craft, and the Technique of Making Guqin.
