 崇安寺位於中國山西陵川縣崇文鎮城西社區古陵路1號,坐北朝南,三進院落。 東西寬61米,南北長93.5米,占地面積5722平方米。 創建年代不詳,唐初名“丈八佛寺”,宋太平興國元年(976)賜名“崇安寺”,明、清均有修葺,現存西插花樓為元代風格,其他建築為明清風格。 中軸線有山門、過殿、正殿、佛龕,兩側有鐘樓、鼓樓、掖門、廊房、插花樓、影壁。 山門為明代建築,面寬五間,進深六椽,二層三重簷歇山頂,琉璃脊飾、方心、剪邊,一層簷下斗拱三踩單翹,平座斗拱、三層簷下斗拱均為五踩雙翹,明間青石門框為宋代嘉佑年間遺物,山門內新塑四大天王像。 山門兩側為鐘、鼓二樓,清代建築,面寬進深均三間,重簷歇山式頂,琉璃脊飾。 鐘樓內懸有宋徽宗崇寧元年(1102年)所鑄鐵鐘一口,高2米,徑長1.7米,上鑄文字和方格紋。 過殿面闊五間,進深六椽,單簷歇山頂,琉璃脊飾、方心,七檁前出廊式構架,簷下斗拱五踩雙翹,龍形耍頭,平身科出45°斜拱,殿內新塑佛像、菩薩像共8尊,山牆、後牆新繪壁畫。
正殿又名大雄寶殿,面闊五間,進深七椽,單簷懸山頂,琉璃脊飾、方心、剪邊,八檁前出廊式構架,簷下斗拱五踩雙翹,龍形耍頭,平身科出45°斜拱,殿內有新塑像5尊,山牆處新塑十八羅漢像。 正殿兩側各有影壁一座。 正殿後有一佛龕,龕內雕刻有一佛二弟子二菩薩像。 西插花樓位於過殿西側,平面形制為正方形,面寬進深均三間,二層三重簷,歇山式屋頂,古樸精美,具有元代風格。 東插花樓清代已毀。 2006年,崇安寺被國務院公佈為第六批全國重點文物保護單位。
Chong'an Temple is located at No.1 Guring Road, Chengxi Community, Chongwen Town, Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province, China. It faces north and south, with three courtyards. It is 61 meters wide from east to west and 93.5 meters long from north to south, covering an area of ​​5722 square meters. The year of its establishment is unknown. It was named "Zhangba Buddhist Temple" in the early Tang Dynasty. It was named "Chong'an Temple" in the first year of Taiping's reign in the Song Dynasty (976). It was renovated in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The existing west flower arrangement building is in the style of the Yuan Dynasty, and other buildings are in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. . The central axis has the mountain gate, the main hall, the main hall, and the Buddhist niche. On both sides there are the bell tower, the drum tower, the door, the gallery, the flower arrangement tower, and the screen wall. The mountain gate is a Ming Dynasty building with a width of five bays and a depth of six rafters. The second floor has triple eaves resting on the top of the mountain. It is decorated with glazed ridges, square centers and trimmed edges. The first floor has brackets under the eaves with three steps and single upturned brackets. There are flat brackets and brackets under the third floor. Both have five steps and double upturned doors. The bluestone door frame from the Ming Dynasty is a relic from the Jiayou period of the Song Dynasty. The four heavenly kings are newly sculpted inside the mountain gate. On both sides of the mountain gate are the bell and drum floors. It is a Qing Dynasty building with three rooms in width and depth, with double eaves and mountain-style roof and glazed ridge decoration. Hanging in the bell tower is an iron bell made in the first year of Chongning (1102) by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty. It is 2 meters high and 1.7 meters in diameter, with characters and checkered patterns cast on it. The hall is five rooms wide and six rafters deep. It has a single eaves on the top of the mountain, glazed ridge decoration, square center, seven purlins in front of the corridor structure, five brackets under the eaves and two upturned brackets, a dragon-shaped head, and a flat body with a 45° slant. There are 8 new Buddha and Bodhisattva statues in the hall, and new murals are painted on the gables and back walls.
The main hall, also known as the Main Hall, is five rooms wide and seven rafters deep. It has a single eaves hanging from the top of the mountain, glazed ridge decoration, square center, and cut edges. It has a corridor-like structure in front of eight purlins. Under the eaves, there are five brackets with double upturned brackets, and a dragon-shaped head. There are 45° oblique arches in the flat section. There are 5 new statues in the hall and a new statue of Eighteen Arhats on the gable. There is a screen wall on each side of the main hall. There is a Buddhist niche behind the main hall, in which are carved images of a Buddha, two disciples and two Bodhisattvas. The West Flower Arrangement Building is located on the west side of the main hall. It is square in plan, with three rooms in width and depth. It has triple eaves on the second floor and a gable-style roof. It is simple and exquisite, with the style of the Yuan Dynasty. The east flower arrangement building was destroyed in the Qing Dynasty. In 2006, Chong'an Temple was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
