American Idol's Jordan Sparks says Ryan Seacrest inspired her to host new reality series.
American Idol alum Jordan Sparks is hosting a new reality TV series,
and she credits Ryan Seacrest with inspiring her. Jordan is hosting a new series on HBO's
streaming platform Max titled Roller Jam. The show features roller skating crews as they compete
against each other for the chance at $150,000, plus a $10,000 donation to their local roller week.
While Jordan has competed on Dancing with the Stars and American Idol, this is her first time
hosting a show. It is so much nicer to be on this side of the judging table, Jordan told ABC Audio.
Wheel of Fortune fans call out Ryan Seacrest for a nightmare move in Blunder on show.
Fans blame Price is right producers for ruining Wheel of Fortune as contestants act like fools.
Still, she feels that her experience as a contestant will be valuable, stating,
I can be down there on the floor with them and be like, look, I've been in your shoes.
I know what it feels like. She then said she was inspired watching Ryan Seacrest
and hoped to be in his shoes in the future. I was watching how he was reading the prompter
and interacting with everybody, from the contestants to the judges to the people at
home, she said. And I was like, I'd love to do that one day. So it's really crazy that now,
17 years later, I'm finally getting the chance. This comes as Ryan recently stepped into a new
hosting gig. After hosting American Idol, Live with Kelly and Ryan and countless specials,
he has now taken Pat Sajak's spot hosting Wheel of Fortune.
I'm so excited. Ryan told Good Morning America on February 12 about his new gig.
I've been watching it for so many years, like so many people here in this country.
Pat Sajak is such a legend. He makes it look so easy and smooth and seamless. He's remarkable.
His hosting abilities have been met with mixed reviews. While some fans feel like he's excelling,
others feel that he is stiff and have called him out for making an on-air blunder just weeks in.
Apparently, the backlash is deeply affecting Ryan.
Ryan's a lot more sensitive than people give him credit for, a source told Closer Weekly.
If he thought he could waltz into Wheel of Fortune and spin things his way, he thought wrong.
The insider said Seacrest was raffled by the rough reception.
He hates being hated, said the source.
He needs to talk things out with a professional who can offer him therapeutic neutrality.
