Today on what it's like engine episode, one you may have never heard of Daimler double six, but not just any old v12 this one used sleeve valves which was designed by Charles knight in 1908. Daimler would be one of the first companies to ditch poppet valves for sleeve valve design. Poppet valves in early cars would cause carbon to build up and would need to be carbonized more often than sleeve valves. Really cool episode enjoy
