Selena Gomez Reacts To OSCAR Buzz For 'Emilia Pérez': 'I'm Shaking'

You shared that this role changed your life. How? Not only did it open my eyes to the capturing, mesmerizing vision of Jacques, but also just I learned so much about myself. I was in Paris with these amazing women that were living life authentically. They're a little older than me and I look up to them in a way. So I just feel really lucky and I hope it's just the beginning of more roles to come. I think it is, okay? Because I saw a headline this morning. They're saying the Oscars are entering their pop star era with you, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande. I mean, what would it mean for you to get that Oscar nom and be celebrated? I don't know. I'm shaking right now. Yeah, I don't know. But I'm just happy that the movie is getting the attention it deserves. Yeah, it feels like we're seeing these artists evolve in such a positive, exciting way. I'm so proud of every girl, too. More girl power, for sure. Hi, I'm right there with your sister. You're a triple threat in this movie. Everyone needs to see this, okay? She's singing, she's dancing, she's acting. And in Spanish, no less. And I want you to know, your Spanish was fantastic. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I had a really good time doing this and I hope you guys like it. As a Latina, and my Spanish is not good, so I was just so excited to see how good you were. And I know you worked really hard. I did. I appreciate it. But I'm like you. I'm still Latinx, kind of in the mix, not knowing it fully. Did you talk to someone in your life that is very good in Spanish to help you kind of practice? Completely. I had a coach, but we would only speak in Spanish to each other. And then my dad and my whole dad's side of the family. Was there a dancing scene that was more challenging for you? Talk to me about what the most challenging thing was here. I think for me, it was really just disappearing into the character. And I wanted to add a little bit of sensitivity to her. But the dancing would probably be Bienvenida, which is a number that I'm using all of these different props. And that was actually really hard. I'd never really done anything like that.
