Some weather to greet Manchester City women that they will be familiar with,
it has a rather Mancunian look and feel about it out in Perth, Western Australia.
With regard to how the competition will work,
the Perth International Football Cup has two games spread across the two days.
Leicester City host Manchester City,
then on Thursday West Ham United host Paris Saint-Germain
before that doubleheader on Sunday, third place playoff.
And the final, fingers crossed, City will be contesting.
Uohavi, ball coming in infield then.
City again out to Chloe Kelly.
Kasperai making the overlapping run, Kelly fancying her chances
or a ball that's just been teased into that six-yard line there,
kept alive by Uohavi.
I think that's going to be a Manchester City corner, it will be.
Yeah, it was really good from Chloe Kelly,
I think we haven't seen much of her at the minute,
but for her to do this, she's good at both feet,
and that's the risk as a defender if you allow her inside.
Lauren Hemp will just see this out,
there's been a switch of the wingers as well,
here is Chloe Kelly, now there might be a first sighter.
Well, Leipzig has to make the save, but they'll keep this alive,
we will come back to this.
Lauren Hemp who has Chloe Kelly in close support,
and they're just looking for that eye of the needle pass.
This is a chance for Manchester City, here is the build-up,
yeah, it's a first-reel sighter for Poppy Pritchard.
I mean, either side, and it might have been a problem here
for the Leicester City goalkeeper.
And Leicester City looking to come with,
Michonne, who's got it all to do,
she needs support, she needs players around her.
Good hold-up play, though, from Leicester City's new signing.
And they've got a first-reel sighter, well, it's Saori Takerada,
who is essentially a deep-lying midfielder,
but this is a chance for the Japan international.
Takerada, low-drilled effort, and a first-reel test for Kiara Keating.
Ball is out with Kelly, oh, that's a lovely receive of the ball.
She gets the turn on Ayle Kelly,
might fancy a chance here of going alone, gets the shots away.
Chloe Kelly having done all the initial hard work,
including this lovely turn on Asmita Hale,
who just gets done by the pace of the ball.
Chloe Kelly keeps it alive.
Bracey Pryor coming forward from the centre-back position.
Now to Poppy Pritchard.
She's done well, there's the cut-back.
This is what's happened a lot in the game,
so City have got themselves in really good crossing positions,
it's just their execution.
Again, it's the short-corner routine to Park.
Chloe Kelly just peeling away.
Now they look for that run of Blinkeilder-Brown.
Park again, this time the ball needs to come in.
Headed away by Musono, who's back,
helping out Hampton, teasing it back forward,
and Alex Greenwood was in there.
Just couldn't quite get the run of the ball.
Takarada thought that was a free kick, not given.
Here is Loringham, Pritchard's way back in the middle
if she can be found.
There's the ball in, Chloe Kelly is in there as well.
With Naomi Musono who comes away with it,
she does have options.
There's the ball into the middle.
Now there could be a chance for Leicester City.
Well, Rantala will go down as a massive chance.
Musono again doing all the initial heavy lifting.
Lovely ball, inviting into the box.
A good save from Yamashita.
And there's that out ball again
that they have been threatening.
Couple of deflections, Yamashita again
has to get down to make the save.
The Yamashita, what's that now?
Three saves, just eight minutes in after the break?
Yeah, I think she's done really well.
Look, Diane Rose does really well.
She drives at the defender first to square them up.
So by square, we mean that they face them.
Hasegawa into the feet of Shaw.
Instant lay-off to Blinkeilder-Brown for Xhimo.
Good hold-up play.
Hasegawa again finds a fellow Japan international.
Ball hung up here for Bunyshaw.
Well, maybe just wasn't the weight on the delivery
that Bunyshaw would have been hoping for.
It's good build-up again from City.
There's the initial phase of that attack that was cut out.
And then for Xhimo, hanging the ball up.
And Bunyshaw, she's got a lot to do.
Well, there we go.
Here's the one that we've all been waiting for.
Laura Blinkeilder-Brown coming off.
And the marquee signing of the summer campaign.
Big Miramar is on.
A player who needs absolutely no introduction.
There's Fowler.
Fowler, let's fly!
Terrific save.
Well, Lees-Cott had to get down to make the save
from Mary Fowler.
And Mary Fowler, who had a terrific end
to the Women's Super League campaign.
Left-footed strike from Rage,
forcing the shot from Lees-Cott.
One back in midfield by Hasegawa,
which she does so well.
Now Albo Fuggino.
Medina making her way into the box.
Miramar.
Balls through for Miramar!
Oh, and it's off the crossbar.
What a chance that was.
Park on the follow-up,
but it's gone for the curling effort.
Well, Viv Miramar.
I mean, her eyes must have lit up here.
Was this the moment?
Albo Fuggino stands the ball up.
And the prolific Netherlands striker
maybe just stretching a bit.
Fuggino again.
Two-to-eight, mate, in the box.
It's Shaw with the chance!
The chances are coming.
Fuggino again, the architect.
Sent long by Lees-Cott.
Well, it wasn't the best distribution.
It's been won back by Mary Fowler.
Now there might be a three-ball-in for Miramar.
First touch, excellent.
Gets the feint.
Surely now it's going to be...
What's that?
Well, it looked like a penalty.
Well, Miramar asking for it.
Goodness me.
There looked to be some contact there,
but the referee, Caitlin Williams,
not the least bit interested.
What about that for a lovely feint?
Drop of the shoulder.
So a question now of who steps up.
But it will be Leicester City to go first.
Yamashita from 12 yards.
Makes the initial save.
And Yuka Mimiki misses for Leicester City.
So the early advantage to Manchester City.
But Buddy Shaw about to step up then.
And a chance to put Manchester City ahead.
And scores.
Buddy Shaw with her first goal.
She's back from injury.
Up steps Petterman and scores.
Up steps Mary Fowler.
Oh, no mistake.
Terrific strike beyond Lees-Kopp.
Sophie Howard has to keep Leicester City in this shootout.
And it's been, well, saved initially,
then onto the post.
And it's another crucial save here
from Ayaka Yamashita.
Advantage Manchester City.
Alba Fugino.
Up steps Alba Fugino.
Calm, composed.
And away to the goalkeepers left.
Sayori Takerada steps up for Leicester City.
Into the roof of the net.
But, goodness me, Ayaka Yamashita.
So Yui Hasegawa.
Hasegawa against Lees-Kopp.
Up steps Yui Hasegawa.
Saved.
Diane Rose up against Ayaka Yamashita.
And it's off the post and in.
Up steps Viv Videmar.
Prolific Netherlands striker.
And the Women's Super League all-time leading goal scorer.
Videmar.
With her first goal for Manchester City.
But Videmar to the rescue as City go through on penalties.
