Today I have Louis the Cavalier. He is so cute and the biggest baby. He goes for a groom every
eight weeks because his hair grows so quickly. His owner messaged me the other day and said
oh my god cat please work your magic he is the size of a house. Louis loves his shampoo massages.
I wear exfoliating gloves because it lathers up the shampoo really nicely and it makes it easier
to scrub in between his toes, his ears and his face too.
Time for some fast dry spray. It helps speed up the drying process.
Giving him another massage, rubbing it all in and he gives me a thank you kiss.
Happy hoodie on. Louis has been coming to me since he was a puppy so during his grooming
intro sessions he was slowly introduced to the dryer so that now he's older he's not bothered
by it and he lets me just crack on with my job. It's much easier for the both of us.

I feel like he should be called Sharon.
He's got some chunky mats behind his ears so I'm just clipping these out as they're too thick to
brush out. Now he's having a brush all over with the Chris Christensen slicker
so that the clippers will glide through his coat and leave a neat even finish.
I found some more chunky knotting under his chest that was too thick to brush out so I'm just
clipping this out with a 7F blade. It was most likely caused by his harness rubbing on the fur.
Now time for some clipping. I'm clipping his coat in the direction of the fur
so that it leaves a neat finish. Cavaliers have a double coat so it does look a bit choppy on the
first pass so I go over and over and over it until it's all neat and tidy.
Louie is exceptionally well behaved for his nail clip again because he was desensitized to it as
a puppy. If you get a new puppy make sure you're taking them for a groom at around 10 to 12 weeks
old. It really makes the grooming experience so much nicer for both the groomer and the dog
especially as they'll be coming every eight weeks. It's only fair to make sure that they will enjoy it.
Now all the clipping's done it's time for a scissor tidy up. I am a little bit slow at scissoring
because I want my grooms to look perfect but also just because I'm slow at it but it's really
satisfying so enjoy! His owners love his fluffy feet so I only take half off. I start with the
chonkers to take off what I want and then I go over it with the curves to neaten it up and make
them lovely and round. Just some finishing touches now for some stray hairs that I missed
and Louie is all done! He is definitely one of my favourite dogs to groom, he's so so well behaved
and I do love my kisses from him. Louie says please like this video and comment if you think I'm cute!
Thanks for watching, bye for now!
