Bonjour tout le monde! Hello everybody! Salut! Hi! Bienvenue! Welcome to French with Mr Innes!
Ça va? Are you? Ça va très bien? Ça va bien? Comme ci, comme ça? Ça va mal? Oh, ça va très mal!
Today is our second French sports video and if you enjoy it please give it a
like and subscribe to my channel below. Let's warm up our brains today by doing a little bit of
mathématiques. Now you might remember that in our Belgian countryside video we learnt the number
4 times 20 which means 80 and today we're going to learn the number 90 which is
égal. It's quatre-vingt-dix. So how about this one?
And last up.
Quatre-vingt plus quinze égale quatre-vingt-quinze. Magnifique!
In our first French sports video featuring Monsieur Steve which you can find a link to
in the description below, we learnt French sports that began with le that were masculine.
Le foot, le tennis, le golf, le cyclisme, le basket and le rugby. And today we're going to
learn French sports words that begin with la or l apostrophe. So that brings us on to our
phrase of the day! Our last phrase of the day was je fais du which means I do or I play when
you're referring to sports that are masculine words beginning with le. And today's phrase of
the day also means I play but when you're referring to words that start with la or l apostrophe.
Je fais de. Je fais de. Je fais de. Je fais de. Je fais de. Je fais de. Très bien!
Let's move on to our oulala vocab! Today's first oulala vocab is...
Ines is charging for the line. I think this is going to be it. It's going to be gold for
Ines. Oh and look at the way that he celebrates at that Usain Bolt!
Athletisme is my favorite sport. In fact, if you want to see a video of me running a marathon,
check out the description link below. Next up we have...
And it's Ines stepping up for the United Kingdom,
doing his traditional forward roll. Oh, oh well what a complete catastrophe!
Next up we've got...
Ines swimming to the line. Oh this is quite magnificent. He's going to make it in time.
Oh and there it is! Does he realize he's the champion? Yes he does!
Swimming!
La natation. La natation. La natation. La natation.
Répétez! La natation. La natation. La natation! La natation. La natation! La natation!
Oulala vocab numéro quatre is...
It's Ines riding Monsieur Vache. Oh just look at that turn. Oh and the jump. Oh that is quite
fantastic. Oh and that must surely be it. Yes, Mr. Ines celebrating. That must be goals for the
United Kingdom. Horse riding! Écoutez six fois. L'équitation. L'équitation. L'équitation.
L'équitation. L'équitation. L'équitation. Répétez! L'équitation. L'équitation. L'équitation!
L'équitation. L'équitation. L'équitation. L'équitation.
And last up today we have...
And would you look at these rather strange moves of Mr. Ines. I really think he should
just head back to the staff room and stop making such a fool of himself.
Dancing! Écoutez six fois. La danse. La danse. La danse. La danse. La danse.
Répétez! La danse. La danse. La danse. La danse. La danse.
And now it's time for...
As per usual I will help you with the first trois.
First up we have...
Which one's missing?
Next up we have...
Which one's missing?
Next up we've got...
Which one's missing?
Next up...
Which one's missing?
Next up...
And the last one...
Which one's missing?
If you said...
And now it's time for our...
For our sensational sentences, can you remember what our phrase of the day was?
Now whereas in our last video we dropped the le from le foot or le golf or le tennis
and just said je fais du foot, for today's sensational sentences we have to keep the la
or the l apostrophe. I will help you with the first de.
First off we have...
Je fais de...
Next up we have...
See if you can do these next trois by yourself.
How about swimming?
Fantastic if you said...
How about horse riding?
And last up, how about dancing?
And now it's time for our fun French fact of the day.
Did you know that the modern Jeux Olympiques, Olympic Games, were created by a Frenchman?
In fact Pierre de Coubertin created the Olympic Games in 1894 because he thought that the French
people needed better training in fighting wars. And in 2024 Paris is set to join Londres,
London, as only the second city to have hosted the Jeux Olympiques, the Olympic Games,
three times.
Let's move on to our song of the day.
Today's song of the day is by Niki Janowski and Anne Villeneuve and it's called J'Imagine or I
Believe. This was the theme song for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver in Canada.
This song is in both English and French because as Monsieur Steve told us last time
they speak both English and French in Canada.
And let's finish up today with our challenge time.
In today's challenge I would like you guys to record a video of yourself showing which sports
you play and speaking about them in French. It might look something like this.
Je fais de l'athlétisme. Je fais de la gymnastique. Je fais de l'équitation.
Je fais de la danse. Je fais de la natation.
And if you have an adult's help and permission you can even tweet your videos to the hashtag
French with Mr Innes and I'll do my best to get back to you from my Twitter account
at French Mr Innes.
That's everything from French with Mr Innes today. I hope you've enjoyed learning all about
sport in French and if you enjoyed the video please give it a like and subscribe to my channel
below.
But for now à bientôt and au revoir.
In our first French sport and today we're going to learn when you're talking about
masculine no when you're talking about sports that are masculine.
Our last phrase of the day.
Ah well this is getting very annoying and it's Innes stepping up for the United...
And in...
I really need to know.
Très bien.
