One time, my brother called me.
My father was already dead.
So, I went home.
I didn't know that I was the one who was being blamed by my family
that my father was already dead because of a heart attack.
Your father was already dead because of you.
My mother blamed me for that.
I am a Roman Catholic.
I go with my brothers when they go to Sugal.
I look at them.
They gave me a cigarette.
One time, I saw them doing drugs.
When I was in college,
I was with my classmate.
We were doing drugs.
When my father got sick,
I decided to stop studying
so that I could help my family financially.
Then, a friend of mine told me,
Aren't you looking for a job?
There's a motel receptionist here.
Huh? Really? Where is he?
So, I decided to go to Sorigao del Sur.
My friend was already a member of the Church.
She was the one who invited me to join the MCGI.
There was a Bible exposition.
She invited me.
I was still a bit awkward,
especially when I saw them dancing
and practicing in the choir.
There was an event for the youth.
When I was already in the local church,
I saw the youth.
They were different from the youth outside.
At first, I noticed that they were different from me.
They didn't care about other people.
Then, I decided to get baptized.
I realized that I was different from other members of the Church.
I didn't see the youth outside.
I wasn't used to their parents.
When I joined the Church,
my family didn't know about it.
I didn't tell them.
When I came home for vacation,
they found out that I was already a member of the MCGI.
The first thing they noticed was my clothes.
I didn't go out with my friends anymore.
They treated me differently.
My father was sick.
He was the only one who was happy that I was changing.
That I was changing.
That I was helping others.
But when I went out,
my mother didn't allow me.
What?
I want to go to the local congregation.
No, you can't.
Get up!
They always scolded me.
I always went to the local congregation.
I decided to return to the SDS.
One time, my brother called.
My father was already dead.
So, I went home.
I didn't know that I was the one who was being blamed by my family.
Mom.
My father was already dead because of his illness.
Your face is so thick.
Mom!
Because of you, your father died.
After that, my mother scolded me.
You always go to the local congregation.
Why don't you go to the local congregation?
She told me that I shouldn't go home anymore.
So, I decided to return to the SDS.
I went to the local congregation.
I got a job.
I did almost all the jobs.
There was a time when my mother contacted me.
Mom?
Yes, Mom?
Mom, how are you?
They called me whenever they needed me.
I helped my family for a year.
They treated me well.
They called me and asked me how I was doing.
Thank God.
I told them that it's better for my family to pray to me
than praying to God.
God can give us a lot of family.
But if it's a family,
He can't give us true faith and God.
My greatest achievement in life
is when I got to know the true God here in the Church.
The MCGI Cares.
I'm happy to feel that I can help others.
I will do my best to continue.
I'm tired of God's help.
When the time comes for you to turn to your loved ones,
just continue in the Church.
First of all,
pray and ask for guidance so that you can continue.
I am Sister Lily Pudador.
This is the story of my faith.
Thank God.
