Boston Celtics VERY BEST Plays & Highlights from 2018-19 NBA Season!

Rozier, Tatum! Now that was a great hard run by Tatum. Take a look at this. Tatum is as fast as you'll find at his position. It's out in front and makes that hard run pay off. Super pass here by Rozier, laid it up perfectly. Good hands by Tice. Boy, I'll tell you, that was smart play. Better pass. Bounced back to Tatum. Rozier knew exactly where he was. Take a look at this good play coming up. And, I'll tell you, when you play basketball like that. Lamb saw that one coming. Heywood with the block! Part of Gordon Heywood. I mean, he's turning the Jets, goes as hard as he can. Priestley, because that was a foul, baby. Oh, it's rechecked at the other end by Bobby Simmons. Payback. Isaiah Taylor. Simmons. No! Simmons says no, not here. Well, that's right, it got him. Off the angle, nice play here. Down low to Embiid, picked up by Bates. Shot clock is down to eight. Knocked away by the guard, Rozier! Rozier with the weak side help and swat. Seligson. Embiid goes up with both hands. Kyrie approaching the halfway mark, second quarter. Kyrie in the paint, good pass. Ogilvy for two. Take a look at Kyrie putting the heat on the defense. They're retreating. And when Kyrie gets in the paint. Irving got picked off. Trying to get it down low. Rozier with the steal, leads Tatum. Stops. Take that 16 point lead before the three point shot by Heywood. And Tatum. It's all it takes and then a sweep. Hitting a few more of the three pointers and then not packing the lane. It becomes a totally different game. If that had been the case. I also would like to see Reggie Jackson with the ball. Austin gets a new clock. Horford, windmills off the dribble. In the third quarter and Horford just picked up his fourth foul. Closing on Horford, who hasn't hit a jumper in quite some while. He had that shot and I think it surprised him he got that open. Now Kyrie picked up by Wancho. Kyrie goes to the rack. He scores it. I want to see. Yeah, right before that. I was saying he got too far underneath him and Ryan Forte caught him. But that move right there, I thought the foul was there. But you see he got a body up. A run into the plate. Tatum will inbound. Morris gets it. Irving with a double clutch. Out to Morris. Sets up, fires and hits. Three tenths of a second remaining. A game is never over. You get the timeout, you get the ball moved up, and then you get an opportunity like that. And Marcus Morris knew it was good. He knew it was good. I mean, when it left his hands. Credit Irving, he drew the double team, got the attention. Brown powers it down with the pump and the steer at Gobert. Great catch and go on the drive. Powerful finish by Brown. And the stare down. Hesitation, spin, pass inside. Stolen by Hayward, his fourth steal of the night. Here comes Irving. Tatum to the rim, throws it down. Get the easy play. Mitchell, nice little crossover move. Another one to get into the lane. Rejected by Horford. That was a big time block. Little crossover here. Near steal by Rozier. Got a hand on that one. It does take it away. Celtics have numbers. Smart behind the back. Tatum to Rozier. Look at this one. Rozier rips it away. Comes down. Little give and go from behind the back. Kyrie. Oh, what a pass. Nice two guys. He made the bounce pass. Going to get himself a time out. Kyrie just mesmerizes everybody and then the little bounce pass to Bain. Nice job just tipping the rebound he couldn't get. There you go. The defense cave. Opens it up for a slammer. Hojole. Good up fake. Yeah, that little up fake. Don't get in my way. It's the other way. A little over three minutes to go in the game. Brooks to the basket. Oh! Hello. That's the one I was talking about with Russell. It was two inches out of his hands when he blocked it. Two inches out of his hands. Smart. Look at that. Oh, man. And then he has the exclamation point. He passes it from his posterior. And it sets up the transition. He's in a time out. Timberwolves have given up 14 points off a dozen turnovers in this game. And the Celtics lead it by a dozen. Here's from the three-point line tonight. Oh, what a move by Brown. Euro stepped right in. Oh, that's a big-time move. And the rebound right down by Brown. Watermaker to Tice. Tatum to the basket. Green and Roll splits the defense, elevates, glides to the rim, and sends it down. What a move by Jason Tatum for the slam. Tatum. He makes some plays that will take your breath away. And you see him just getting Sato on that simple cross. John Wall. Jeff Green with 22 points to lead the Wizards in scoring. And the Celtics, at the other end, score with a foul. Irving gets over the timeline. Drives. Underneath. Great pass to Tatum. Look here. Yep. And then right around Oubre. Yep. Celtics bench. 33 for Irving, 34 for Wall. He'll take a long three. Unbelievable. Kyrie Irving. His fourth three-pointer of the game. John is preparing for a screen. He's preparing for the wizardry of Kyrie Irving. And Kyrie senses that and sees that and just rises and fires. Serving it for you. Kyrie to the basket. Just throw it up for Lobb Williams. Oh, put your head by the rim, young fella. Got one shoe right now. Trying to play at the defensive end. Got blown by back. Oh, yes. Hook, Jim. Yes. And flex on him, Jalen Brown. Spectacular play by Brown over the Greek. Now, watch as he goes. You're going to see it right here. Everything is fine until he faced him. Butler with dogged defense on Irving. Kyrie kept his dribble alive. Tough shot. Uncle Drew with another one. Now, watch this shot. Watch as he gets down in here. He doesn't have anything. But now, I'm going to go right up with a little fade. Got a great play. What a touch, Yubi. He's so smooth. Never herky-jerky, never in a rush. And that was great defense. Met by Smart. Harden. Fires. Irving. Oh, with the spin. And Smart on the open floor. Beautiful spin move right there by Kyrie. Again, we have two of the top five point guards in the game going at it. We just heard Christian Lelo talk about him. He waved everyone away so he could get the penetration. Good job by Tice to get back in the play that time and get the deflection. Rivers trying to lob it to Capella. Oh, behind the back move by Irving. And scores. We got a good one going. Get some popcorn, baby. Behind the back. Smart passes on it. Horford will take, not make. Tatum. Wow. And J.B. Bickerstaff immediately calls for a timeout. Got to get a body on a man. Rizzis don't. That's the result. Williams with the steal. Just throw it up. Just throw it up there. Yeah. Spins to the basket. Gets two. To their feet. Lots of oohs and ahhs here in the garden. Here's Tatum coming up. All the people trying to go to the high side. He tripped. Tatum gets all the way to the bucket. He is 10 for 24. Nice pass. Wow. By Smart. I mean, that's a dunk. He's so high. Bam gets up high. Look at this. What a great defensive play. Inside the arc. Poked up in the air. And saved by Yabusele. Brown. A crank. With the left hand. Jalen Brown on a rack attack. I don't even get the piece of this one walk. But Brown staying with it. And Boston trying to inch back in. Boston's got a five on four the other way. Hayward. Harford. With a little bit of smoke. Irie. A bomb. Oh! Straight fire. Big time shot maker. Great contest by Leonard. You're just looking at an elite offensive player. Go away. Can't let a guy beat you on a basket cut. Good awareness by Temple. Behind the back pass. By Smart in the corner. And he knocks down three. Tyree. His passing. It's continuing on from his magical display we saw the other night against Toronto. Look at this play, Mike. Off the dribble. Doesn't even put the second hand on it. I mean, on target. On the money. Richardson. Turned it over. Kyrie. You got to go in just so you can see the pass again. The field. Four for four. That's sweet. Got to take Sexton. Takes the jumper. Got it! In the first half too. Half of his life here. Eight for eight. Gordon. Gordon Haywood has checked into the game. Oh! It's right! Tatum. Just rips through. Drives it hard. Goes up. Sends it home. Strong. Good job with their double teams. When he does get into that situation. Good steal. Brown. Open floor. Tatum. That's his side. Not this time. Bounded out by Tice. Rozier. Tatum. To Rozier. Look at Tatum. There's the cut. There's the hammer. As Tatum throws it down. Great pass. Rozier. Great finish. Pick and roll from the heat. Good finish. And it's taken away by Haywood. Here's the lead for Brown. Ahead of the field. And he puts it down. That leads to a Laker timeout. Celtics up by 13. Didn't give up on the play. Kept it alive. Back. Easy then. Here's a great finish. Good defense. Al Horford earning his money tonight defensively. And remember Embiid with five fouls. Could not contest there. No. Marcus Smart says yes. We'll be back. On the weak side board. There is Brown. Oh what a shake and finish. Jalen Brown. Leaving Jake Layman in the dust. The floor is so dynamic. A little inside out dribble. How you feeling Jake Layman in my rear view? My good. Don't stand up now. You're going to be in trouble on Jalen Brown. Look. It starts with LeBron James. You know when you're talking about the defensive effort. You're talking about the leadership. All that has to do. Oh. Hoo hoo hoo hoo. That foul here. Good ball movement. And that cut. He just had bad intentions on that one. Yes he did. For G8 it's simple basketball. Because 16 assists on 20 made field goals. Okay. If you're open you shoot it. It's not about the big lead. They still continue from a defensive perspective. To stay locked in. Pop out the pass there. By Smart. But more importantly the cut. Watch this. He sees it. Beautiful cut. And a nice delivery. And easy easy basket. That's the advantage of when you. Force a team to have to be in help mode. They start watching the ball. How about that pass. Oh my goodness. Wow. How about that defensive play. That was a terrific pass. Watch the bobble. See the bobble allowed Tatum to catch up. You know what I mean. And an excellent job of going straight up. I don't know why the fans are booing that one. I understand a little bias. But that was. That was pretty clean. Right now. Is that a block. Five point game. Oh wow. What a set up to Holford. And he'll have a chance. To make it 80 to 72. He's sleeping right there. We can't see it. Corey Brewer comes in late. Just an instant late though. Yeah. But. You got to know when that pick and roll. What we call a tag. Hayward. Two seconds left. Now you do call a timeout. Wow. What are you doing. And now they did take a timeout. Another look. Yes. This is just a fantastic shot right here. And that's the Gordon Hayward. That a lot of people in the NBA. Have come to know and love. Because he's big enough. To create contact. Granted. Athletic enough. And I think what happens is. Everybody's watching those things. So I got to be able to coach you. And tell you. When you're not getting it done. Whoa. Kyrie Irving. Some razzle dazzle. On a beautiful advance feed. From Smart. Seeing his ability to handle the basketball. So skilled. Beautiful move in transition. Avoiding Caruso. This guy. But these are the moves he made. In the playground. No bulldog defensive player. To make the stops. Irving back to Horford. Horford for three. Ties the game. Boy that was terrific. Defense by Marcus. Smart on the baseline. Oh. A nice pass to Horford. Absolutely. Terrific. As smart as the leader of this team. He sure is right there. Baines going to the basket. What a thunder dunk. Thunderous. A lefty slammer. There he goes. Looking to make a deal to somebody else. Namely Kyrie. Irving. Irving to the basket. Irving. Got it. Hence of a second to go. This drive. There's the double. They fake at it. There's the angle. Once he gets going. Who ain't stopping him. Nice fake there. That took Young out of the play. Back in action. Here comes Tatum on a bad turnover. Tatum drives. And finishes. Tatum with a slam. And it's back up to 20. They're in the fourth quarter. We'll break it down. And show them that you've got to be tougher defensively also in this game. Smart throws it up. And Robert. Portis went for the steal. Dozier. Takes him to the rim. B.J. Dozier. Inside. And here's a beautiful dunk. Dozier. He has an old school haircut. We used to call that a shag, Marv. Back in the day. Could not make it go with the pass inside. And Sabonis with the miss. Good if it goes. And it's done. Clear. Indiana Pacers in the third quarter. Big shot by Dozier. Let's go to the fourth on TNT. There's a minute left in regulation. Crossover by Donovan. Great play by Horford. Back the ball away. Here comes Brown. For Raif with Collison. Outside it goes. Tatum free. Corner. Physicality has shown up for the Boston Celtics here in this fourth quarter. Beautiful block shot. Once he makes that move to help out, Horford is excellent in finding space. Janis blocked by Horford. Oh, he sent it back. Mind all of the points and everything else. Just watch this. See, he lets them get a half ahead of him and then so there's nobody contact on the hit. Wow. You don't see that hopping off. Jalen Brown. Circus shot by Brown. Wow. What a beautiful move. Because guys are in transition. Jalen Brown. The beautiful circus shot and the nice finish. Tatum back out to Jalen Brown. A strong first half. Oh, oh. That is strong and caught a body. Oh, boy. Now, I'm going to tell you. That was impressive. He came. People are still saying, so I'm not going to let you do it two times.
