You know kids and and work and she looked kind of young. So I said
Thinking about having a child she said oh no, she started laughing. She said I just graduated from college. I don't even have a boyfriend
So what you're saying is women aren't going for opportunities because they're afraid of the work-life balance
Ultimately face so they keep from going for big big jobs because they think gee if I do a big job
I'll never be they'll have a family and you say go for the big job and and and deal with family later

I I think I feel very strongly that all of us have to make these personal decisions when we have when we have that child
You have to decide are you gonna be a work-at-home mom?
You're gonna be a work-in-the-office mom
but until then
You should lean in keep your foot on the gas pedal because it turns out if you do that you might get promoted
You might make enough money to afford child care you might have a more interesting job
You might get promoted to a level where there's more flexibility and you might have the leverage you need to make demands so that your work
Actually complements your family life at the on the other girl, you know
Isn't the problem that our biological clocks often collide with our window of opportunity for career advancement?
I mean, let's face it. You can't put off having a child forever because then you'll have fertility issues. That's right
And in my book, I'm honest about that. There's a
Opportunity I did not take because I wanted to have a second child
I think this is something we have to change. We don't talk about this women talk about it themselves
But we don't talk to our bosses and we don't talk to our employees about you might want to have a child one day
