Face To Face With Cristiano Ronaldo For 8 Minutes Straight

Hello Cristiano So today we're at the launch of Cristiano's new fragrance line Thank you so much for having me back, first of all The all new CR7 Play It Cool is designed to give you the confidence to be your best self The fragrance scent is reminiscent of Ronaldo's cool and relaxed personality off the pitch Once he's doused himself in this of course Your fragrance, obviously it's called Play It Cool How does that help people to play it cool in their lives? Well basically in the beginning because people know me on the pitch To compete, to score goals, to play for the national team For Juventus And the fragrance is completely different It's part of me outside of football So this is why the name Play It Cool It means like relax, chill Outside of football Exactly I've tried to base my questions around your lifestyle And hopefully aspects of your life that you might not get asked too much about Firstly, I've been into fitness and healthy eating and stuff for the last few years So I really wanted to ask you about how you stay in shape I think I'm right in quoting that in your Juventus medical They concluded you had the body of a 20 year old I wish 7% body fat which is amazing What do you eat? The body fat is true The 20 year old was it? Yeah it's too much 60-70% of my life is the base in football I dedicate myself not just to training but to prepare myself But most of the time 90% of my success If you say to maintain my fitness, my body Sleep good, training well Do good recovery It's the basis It's not secret You have to take care of yourself If you don't take care of yourself nobody is going to help you So of course I'm not like that every day Sometimes I eat pizza with my son Because if not I'm going to be bored Oh yeah It's part of my journey in football And in my life as well So the point is to take care of your fitness To training And eat properly How often do you train each week? In the gym, on the pitch? I do it not every day For example in the gym I cannot do it every day If you go to the gym every day You're going to be tired in the game So you have to do the balance Life is all about the balance And with the age you start to understand That the most important thing is You know 100% your body And training smart It's not the quantity it's the quality And I learned about that Of course when I was young When I was 20, 25, 27 You work in a different way Than in 28, 30 It's completely different But I think I still feel good Sharp Motivated Because I think the main point is the mind If you feel motivated It helps a lot So I still feel motivated And I just want to carry on like that We're going to play Are you any good at ping pong? I don't know how to play I've heard a story You got beaten by Rio Ferdinand once I was the best player in Manchester United You play good? I've got a couple of questions That are a little harder to answer If I get a point off you I could ask one of those questions For the interview we had a ping pong table on set And I had three more questions That I really wanted to ask Cristiano So I presented it in this format Because they were potentially a little more risky Problem is that meant it rested On my table tennis ability I'm on yeah? Yes let's go You want me to play with the left or the right? So I do three points in total So that's one for you Okay last chance Yes no more questions After my chance to ask him any more questions Crumbled before my eyes Luckily I was allowed a few more minutes to do something else I've found some tweets from the public Either about you or about me And I've blanked the names out So basically we have to guess If they're about you or if they're about me They're a lot easier to find about you Because there's way more tweets about you I feel like if I ever met Blank The first thing I'd ask him Is if I could lick his abs I think I'm in fairly decent shape It's back in 2013 So I'm not sure I was looking quite so good back then I will take the ring to Maldon I'm going to say this one's about you Yeah so I don't know I haven't made these So I haven't been stitched up too badly If you don't have a slight man crush on Blank Are you even human I've got quite a male audience Quite football based I'm going to say this one could be about me Yeah I think so too I didn't make the questions There's a better one The best thing about Blank Is his thighs Empires have been built on weaker foundations Than those columns I think this one's got to be about you Okay me Ronaldo Thank you mate I appreciate that Well played at table tennis as well And that was my video time up But then I was asked to do a Q&A With him at the launch party afterwards About the fragrance which was pretty cool That was amazing I think he's about to walk in I've got to introduce him to his Instagram live Which Yeah just a few hundred million people or whatever You've got to plug yourself Subscribe to the True Geordie Somewhere in there Everyone please give a huge welcome To our Cristiano Ronaldo We are here for the launch Of CR7 play it cool Amazing place amazing experience We've got a video to watch We're going to check out a different side To the Cristiano Ronaldo we all know and love So let's take a look We'd love to hear a bit more About what it was like shooting the video How did you find it? It was good fun You know we are all there With my team with my friends And it's always fun When we're filming Especially for the fragrance And as you can see Play it cool was nice Was funny Was me So it makes me feel so proud What inspired the scent And in particular the name play it cool? It's what I am Basically it's what I am As you know in football We have a lot of pressure And the trainings as well And outside I like to play it cool To be able to chill This is why the name of the perfume Is like that because it's cool Amazing well we're going to let you go and enjoy The evening now Cristiano thank you so much Anything you'd like to add? Thank you guys to be here For me it's a pleasure to show you The perfume The advert I hope you enjoy the night And thank you for coming So that happened thank you so much to Cristiano For giving me 17 minutes of his life now That sounds sarcastic but it's absolutely not I did have more questions tweets And stuff to do with him but I struggled to fit it all in I thought about showing him the recreation Of his free kick but I couldn't use This opportunity again to sit in front of my ego If I'd had 12 minutes though Be sure to look out for the new CR7 play it cool fragrance I'll leave the link to Ronaldo's website below Where you can go and see the launch video And check it all out So so mental And as ever thank you guys again For putting me in this position Catch you later
