In today's video, I'm going to be giving my horses the treats that I made for them.
You can check out the video of making the treats if you're interested in. I'll leave
it linked down below. These are sugar-free treats, are all natural ingredients. So I'm going to be
taking each horse in and seeing which one they pick as their favorite. So let's take a look at
the setup here. So here's our setup for the day. We've got our sign here, delicious treats here.
Each one of the treats is labeled. We've got our apple cinnamon toast is the first one.
Deep delight is our second one. And the third one is carrot crunch. So I'm not sure how the
horses are going to respond to all this stuff being out. They might be a little bit afraid of
it, but I'm going to take them out and see how they do. Got the GoPro set up up here to try to
get some more interesting shots and let's see which treat they choose. Our first horse is Meg.
Meg is a 15-year-old standard bred mare. She's high energy and a really sensitive girl.
Oh, it looks like deep delight. Next favorite,
apple cinnamon toast, and carrot crunch. Here Meg, that's all we have. That's all of them.
Our second horse is Harley. Harley is a 15-year-old quarter horse Arabian cross.
He's curious and he enjoys learning new things. Let's see what these are. What is that? Huh?
It's like I'm not sure what this setup is here. Looks a little scary. Good boy. Oh, what's that
one? Apple cinnamon toast. Pretty good. It's like that's all there is. Date delight. Harley's like
so unsure. He's like, I'm not sure if this is a safe zone or not. Carrot crunch. Good boy, Harley.
Good job, buddy. Look how brave you were. He's like, is that all there is? That's all. You ate
them all. All right, Harley. Come here, bud. Come on. Good job. Our next horse is Legend.
Legend is a 12-year-old Morgan. He's a really playful guy and very laid back.
Okay, let's go the opposite way. Legend. Come here, buddy. Come here, Legend. Come here.
Check this out. It's over here. What are those?
It's like, wait a minute. I'm not sure about this thing.
It's like, oh, there's food involved. Apple cinnamon toast. Think, buddy. That's all.
Our next horse is Lucky. Lucky is a 20-year-old quarter horse gelding. He's cautious with new
things but a really friendly guy and always the first one to come up when you're out in the
pasture. Ready to go check it out? He's like, I'm going to run the other way. Lucky. Come here,
handsome. Come check it out. What do you think? Oh, what a brave boy. What a brave boy. Good job.
Here, let's see this one. What do you think? Pretty good, huh? Yeah, this isn't so scary.
Let's see our last one. Good job. Good job, buddy. Very nice. So that was a lot of fun. It was cool
seeing all the horses' different reactions. One thing I love about working with horses is that
they're different every day and every one of them has a different personality. So Legend,
who is usually really brave and curious about things, was a little bit worried at the beginning
coming out here. It took him a little bit of time to come up and check out the treats. And Meg,
who is usually a very sensitive horse and a little bit more concerned in new environments,
came right up and ate those treats no problem. It was also interesting to me that they started,
a lot of them going left to right. So they started with the apple cinnamon and worked their way down.
So maybe that's their favorite. It was really fun to kind of see everybody explore and see
what treat they chose. So I hope you guys enjoyed it. Hope you have a wonderful week
and I'll see you in the next video.
