Emma Stone Can't Stop Flirting with Ryan Gosling. The actors are co-stars in the movies 'Crazy Stupid Love' (Hannah & Jacob), 'Gangster Squad', and 'La La Land' (Sebastian & Mia). Who wouldn't melt at the sight of them together?

The first time you met for Crazy Stupid Love, did you have any idea it would blossom into this
three-picture partnership? No. Yes. We knew right away. Three pictures. It's a three-picture deal.
How are you guys? Thank you.
How are you? Thank you. Good night everyone.
La La Land I got to see for the first time, I've seen it four times now,
but I saw it two, three months ago when Damien... It doesn't hold up after five, so stop.
You gotta stop at five. How many times have you seen it? Just stop at five, trust me.
It still is the best job I can imagine and I truly love it, even when it's infuriating,
like for instance, working with Ryan or just basically working with Ryan.
Emma and Ryan, is this your third time working together?
Yeah. What was it like for the third time?
Good night. It's definitely very special. Ryan, what would you say about that?
I'm very grateful to Emma for giving me a third crack at the bat. Thank you so much.
I think that third time was the charm, huh? Thank you, Ryan. Third time's the charm.
Dean, what do you think audiences are going to love about La La Land?
A boat. I mean, what's not to love?
It's Canadian. Do you say a boat? A boat.
A boot? A boat.
Yeah. A boat.
You really go hard on that. A boot.
A boot.
You're just being silly now. A boat.
A boat? A boot?
You just called our whole culture silly.
No, but I said a boot. It's like, too far.
That's too far.
You took it too far.
Wow.
Tap.
Tap?
Tap dancing, definitely. I don't think I'm a fantastic tap dancer at this point,
but it's so much fun.
Well, I think you're a fantastic tap dancer.
Look at that. Silver Tongue Cavalier.
You are. But what was the name of that dance step that we did?
What was the name of that dance that we did outside of Angels Flight?
The Shim Sham.
Yeah, the Shim Sham.
The Shim Sham's fun.
Do you think that the love fantasy is really offended in the end?
I've had too much champagne to answer that question.
Emma?
Will you just repeat the very last part again, please? I'm sorry.
Yeah, it's basically how our modern era has shaped what we consider a love fantasy today.
I don't know that I can speak to the entirety of the modern era
right now, but by next week, I'm going to have a solid answer for you with footnotes and references.
We're going to be called the Shim Sham somewhere.
Shim and Sham.
Shave and haircut.
Two bits.
Ryan Gosling's abs, you touched them.
I did.
What did they feel like? We need some specifics.
Felt like muscles under skin, you know?
But firm muscles under skin.
That's awesome.
That's pretty good.
Thank you very much for talking to us.
She said that she sweats a lot when she dances, and so she was sweating on you a lot.
Was that a problem?
I don't know about the sweating.
You really didn't notice?
Yeah, she was wearing a lot of layers.
I don't know if that was contributing to the problem or if that's because of the...
It's hard to know.
It's a chicken or the egg thing, I guess.
He claims that he didn't notice any sweat.
He's a liar, but I'm grateful.
It was the day before the last day of school.
Anyway, I had internalized this...
That's a really important...
It's an important detail.
I really know how to tell a story.
Easy.
It comes out like that.
Oh, man.
We've got some great questions from our listeners, which I'm going to ask right now.
Gotta warm up.
What spoke to you about this film?
Are we sleepy?
No, no.
We just haven't done that many interviews together, so I don't know when he's going to take it.
I want him to just take all of them.
You want me to take this one?
Yeah, go ahead.
The directors were like, why don't you guys just kind of improvise a scene?
And then it was an opportunity to work with Emma again, so it all just started snowballing.
And it was really a great, great experience.
It's a scary thing to do, especially in an audition,
because you don't know your characters.
You don't know each other.
You don't know what...
You know, you don't have any frame of reference for what you're doing.
What are you going to talk about in this scene?
You have to create a scene in that moment.
And we just couldn't shut up.
It was just lots to talk about, and, you know, it was very easy.
And, you know, improvisation just creates a connection in a scene,
because you're creating it together.
I think you could say that Ryan knows me better than I know myself.
Danger.
He's gnawing.
Emily, you can't...
It's a dark, it's a dark place.
It's a dark, dark land.
There's nothing he can't do.
You're gonna go with that?
Yeah.
Okay.
Is that the wrong answer?
No, no, I mean, I believe you.
I've seen the movie.
No, there's genuinely nothing that Ryan can't do.
It's pretty crazy.
To watch him learn all these new skills is pretty bananas.
Like, watching him learn to play the piano was mind-blowing.
You don't have to, you know, wait for someone to give you an opportunity.
You can kind of make those opportunities for yourself a little easier now.
All right, then I'll just stop auditioning.
We all were very close, and we rehearsed for three months and shot for two months.
So we spent, you know, almost half a year together, which was really fun.
Hey, Ryan.
Ryan.
Let's just forget it.
Sorry.
Sorry about my friend.
She's a hoser.
What's a hoser?
You.
Next question.
So, what will I...
Ryan Quastling, thank you for making me laugh, and for always raising the bar,
and for being the greatest partner on this crazy adventure.
