and adventure blog called Me Too Explore. We are passionate about activities that
get you outside and off the beaten path. We've got a ton of hiking, adventure
travel, and van life so if you are into that make sure to like this video
and subscribe to our channel. We would love to have you around for all of our
future videos. First up on our list is Pisa. Pisa is
obviously known for the Leaning Tower but it is also a beautiful place to
visit and it has some really nice streets and
restaurants to check out while you're there.
And we will put some of our favorite restaurants and the best places to visit
during your time in Pisa up on the screen now.
Number 11 on the list is Elba Island. This island is located just off the
coast of Tuscany and it's got some beautiful beaches, historic towns,
diving, hiking, and it's just a really good little getaway.
Here are some of our favorite places to eat and the best things to do
on Elba Island. Number 10 on the list is Saturnia Hot Springs.
These hot springs are absolutely stunning. You've probably seen
pictures of this blue water multiple tier hot spring online and it
really lives up to its name although it does get really
really busy. So we'd recommend going first thing in the morning like we did.
This is going to be the calmest time. There's a big parking lot, it's free to
get into, and there's places to stay locally nearby
so if you want to do that option we'd recommend it. Yeah the only
negatives beside the crowds to this hot springs is there are little
red worms in the water that a lot of people freak out about.
They're harmless, it's just a larva that lives in the water here but it is a
little bit weird. Other than that though the hot springs are
beautiful, definitely worth a stop. We do have an Italy travel guide for
adventure lovers that covers all of our favorite places in Italy.
From the best hikes in the Dolomites to renting your own boat to explore the
Amalfi Coast, this guide has everything you need to know.
Covering places like Venice, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre,
Amalfi, Capri, and the Dolomites in detail, let us take care of all of the
research so that all you have to do is show up and enjoy.
We have already got a ton of great feedback on this guide and cannot wait
to share it with you. We will link it below,
make sure to check it out. Number nine on the list is Monteregione.
This is an adorable little town encircled
by a castle wall and it is definitely worth a stop. You don't need too much
time to explore it, a few hours is great. There's some shops, you can get something
to eat, and you can actually pay to walk the
walls which we would recommend. It's a pretty cool view from up there.
If you have a drone, very cool place to fly a drone as well. Next up on the list
is San Gimignano. This is a famous little town
that is actually a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is
famous for having a bunch of really unique towers.
Yeah and the architecture of this hilltop town is absolutely stunning so
you definitely want to spend some time exploring. Here are a few places you
can't miss in San Gimignano during your time in Tuscany.
Number seven on the list is Monteferrato. This is definitely more for
adventure lovers. It is a beautiful hike in northern
Tuscany and it is famous for an archway in the rock at the top. There
are actually three different routes to get up to the top
and one is a via ferrata. Number six on the list is Monte Polciano.
This town is famous for its red wine and we had a lot of fun
exploring it, having some delicious food
and just kind of hanging out and absorbing the vibe. Here are some of our
favorite wineries and places to eat in and around Monte Polciano. Number five
on the list is Siena. This is a very famous
town in Tuscany. It is known for its medieval brick buildings and the
quintessential Italian atmosphere. This is a really cool place to walk around,
try some food and just enjoy the atmosphere on the streets.
Here are some places and restaurants that you do not want to miss during your
time in Siena. Number four on the list is Bagnate San
Filippo. This is another beautiful set of hot springs. They are
really known for their limestone formations
which are just massive. While you're soaking in the springs you can just
really admire these. It is much less busy than Saturna so you
don't have to compete for a pool. Yeah it's kind of more like a hot spring
river. So when we got to the first area there
was actually a lot of people soaking in there
but we just walked a little bit further down and there were tons of different
pools. We were able to find one all to ourselves.
Again it's free, parking is pretty easy to find
and it's just a fun place to hang out. Number three on the list is Florence.
This was one of our favorite cities in Italy and it is a
must-stop during your time in Tuscany. The architecture is incredible. Yeah it's
absolutely beautiful. Make sure to go to the Duomo. We actually stayed at an
Airbnb right across from it and we had a balcony
with the view of the Duomo so we will link that below.
And we will also list a few of our favorite things to do and the best
restaurants to add to your Florence itinerary.
Next up on the list is Chianti. This region is obviously
famous for their red wine. They offer walking tours, wine tours, biking tours,
photography tours and obviously you can taste a bunch of
fantastic wine. Yeah it is possible to take tours here
from Florence or you can stay in the area and tour around on your own.
And number one on the list of the best things to do in Tuscany is to visit
Val d'Orcia. This is probably what you think of when
you envision Tuscany. It's the rolling hills, the cypress
trees. You might recognize a lot of these landscapes from the movie Gladiator.
It is absolutely gorgeous. There are a few pretty famous photo spots.
You can also find photography tours and biking tours in Val d'Orcia. And the best
way to get around here, actually the best way to get around in all of Tuscany in
our opinion, is by car for sure. Here is a list of our favorite photo
spots and places to eat in Val d'Orcia. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you
enjoyed the video. If you found it useful be sure to like and subscribe to the
