21 days dry-aged ribeye steak. First bite of cut by Wolfgang Puck.
Toilet. Are you gonna? Over here is a big mirror and a big bed.
Kayla what do we have here? Four bottles of water. Coffee. This is where you put
the luggage. Snacks and there's tea. That's for coffee. Okay. Sugar and there's tea and
some what's that? Chips. Oh it's for the tea. Okay. No. It's for heating up water.
Water. Whoa what's inside? Coffee. That's coke. Soft drinks and then there's orange
and apple juice. Can you see? What is that? Orange juice. The other one? Apple juice.
So we just got in the room. Check-in time was a little bit stressful. There was a lot
of people. By the time that you will watch this it's past holidays already. It's just
the start of December. It's a Friday. There's a lot of people apparently. They are already
allowing three people to book in the hotel. It's got pretty nice view. Gardens by the
Bay. I'd say a pretty medium sized room with a bathtub, one toilet, a master's bedroom.
The decor is pretty much I'd say classic, maybe old school. A little bit outdated compared
to the rest of the hotel options here in Singapore. Marina Bay Sands. Very iconic hotel with the
world's biggest rooftop infinity pool. Yeah. We're gonna have a tour of the area. It's
our first time here. So basically this video will be all about mostly the food. So stay
tuned until the end of the video. Let's start. So now we are ready. We're walking to basement
one for our early dinner at Cuts by Wolfgang Puck. It's a one Michelin star high-end American
steakhouse. We're so excited. It's gonna be very interesting what types of meat cuts
they have, the selections that they have. So I'm gonna show you in a few. Let's go.
Hello. Welcome. Oops. Okay. Thank you. I'm Christine by the way. One order later. Look
at this. It's like a huge straight pretzel. It's for the mask, an envelope for the mask.
with cheddar inside. A little bit of spicy. Delicious. I thought it's baby corn, but it's
actually butter. Focaccia bread. I'll try it on its own first. Mmm. With the butter.
This is really good. I love the sweetness from the caramelized onions. It's unique.
This one's a pretzel. Nice and toasty. Nice, salty, buttery, creamy flavor. The butter
is really, really good. Looks like there's some raisins inside. Yeah. Thank you. So we
requested for another platter of focaccia bread because it's just irresistibly so good. Actually
I've had onion focaccia before, but not as juicy and tasty as this onion focaccia. Buttery butter.
juiciest crab meat I've ever eaten in my life. Packed with crab meat and I think there's some
diced bell pepper in there with a very thin layer of breadcrumbs. But let me try this green sauce
on its own. What is this? Mmm. It's kind of like an aioli that really goes well with this meaty
Maryland blue crab cake. This type of crab cake you wouldn't get from a CAD crab one. It is really,
21 days dry aged ribeye steak. First bite of cut by Wolfgang Puck. You get more flavor the more
you chew. Let's try it with the kiwi potatoes. Mmm. Crispy. I love it with the, it adds more texture,
flavor. This is gonna be an addictive snack. Let's try the creamed spinach with fried egg. This is
one of the most popular sides here. Personally recommended by my friend. Finally, I'll be able
to try it. Sweet, kind of milky and smooth, earthy taste from the spinach. It's really good. You have
the sweetness and creaminess from the spinach and you have the savoriness and crunchy texture from
the kiwi potatoes which is very, very enjoyable to eat. Let me try the house-made mustard sauce. I
don't normally eat steak with mustard sauce. This is gonna be a first for me. I mean, I love my
wasabi and it's delicious. I love the nice hint of heat that you get from the mustard. Not too
overwhelming. That's nice. Let's try the purple sauce. It's got a little bit of sweet tangy taste
to it. It's quite good actually. I love the tanginess. Cuts through the savoriness of the
dish. Really good. Cheers! Warm water. Okay, steak with the steak sauce.
Pork ribs with the pork rib sauce. This is the cut that we got. It was medium. It's a little
drier than the medium rare, but in my condition right now, I cannot really take anything rare. So
this steak is giving it a little bit of moisture that it needs. But I love the patty chunk. Really
flavorful.
Thank you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you.
Thank you.
Yum! It's so rich, moist and I love the chocolate mousse. It's very very smooth. Iggy's birthday,
although I enjoyed it more than he did, he's not really a fan of dark chocolates. He's a
milk chocolate kind of guy and I'm a dark chocolate fan. So I don't know why but they brought out some
macaron looking stuff with some kind of like a jelly almost.
Very tangy and sweet. It tastes like jellies.
And the other one is a black sesame macaron, I'm assuming. Give it a try.
Rich black sesame flavor. Actually really good.
Giving us complimentary stuff. Thank you. We have to go. My tummy is so full, right?
Okay, so we just got back to the hotel room. I don't think we still have energy to go to the pool
but Kayla is going to swim tonight. How many minutes are you gonna swim? Two. Two minutes?
15 or 30? Which one do you want? 30. 15 only, okay? I want only 15. Okay, 15 minutes and then
you're done, okay? Mommy, why only 15 minutes? Because it's very cold, honey. I like only 15
So this is the view at night. This is Gardens by the Bay. We're just chilling while waiting for
Kayla to finish swimming in the infinity pool. Where did you go? I do the swimming pool.
What did you do there? Jump. Jump? You jump in the pool? What's that? Yummy apple juice.
Good morning! Day two in Marina Bay Sands and we're gonna have breakfast.
So we're gonna check whatever cafes open at the moment. It's currently I think 8 a.m in the morning.
So breakfast time.
So we're here at Marina Bay Sands basement 2 specifically at Raspura which is the 24-hour
food court here in Marina Bay Sands. We have ordered a couple of dim sum dishes. There's some
chicken feet, siu mai, fried shrimp dumpling, ngoh hiang or Chinese spring rolls, prawn chichong fan
and nasi padang, beef rendang with java yellow rice, two fried eggs with tons of ikan bilis,
peanuts and sambal. So I'm just gonna dig in. I think I'm gonna start with shrimp dumpling
with the chili sauce. Cheers!
Fried shrimp dumplings is one of my favorites. It's already cold but it's still tasty. Best case
scenario eat it while it's hot. Let's try the ngoh hiang. I think this comes with a set. You
order one for three pieces. It's for a dollar plus. Look at that golden brown ngoh hiang. Dip it in
chili sauce. Very tasty mince pork inside with a very crispy bean curd skin outside. I like it.
This is gonna go well with rice or noodles. Now let's try the siu mai with some fish roe on top.
Look at that chunky piece of siu mai with fish roe on top. Let's dip it in the chili.
It's also tasty but it's not like full pork flavor. It's mixed with some mushrooms and I think
it's dominating the flavor which is a little weird. Because normally when I get siu mai from
dim sum houses here it's very porky. This one, chichong fan. This is definitely one of my
favorites from any dim sum stalls. So this one specifically is with prawns.
Again it's not freshly cooked like what you would normally see but still pretty good.
Yum! Now let me try the beef rendang. A rendang with the yellow rice
and I think they call it nasi kuning and then the sambal.
The sambal is sweet and spicy. The rendang you can really taste the
lemongrass in there and it's really spicy. A really good way to wake up in the morning.
Fluffy hot rice too. Really good.
It's on the line before I forget. My favorite braised chicken feet. So I'm gonna try. Cheers!
It's the bones. See? It's the chicken feet bones. You want?
It is very big, chunky, gelatinous and spicy actually. I rarely get spicy chicken feet.
This one is really spicy. I think because of the red chilies.
In terms of flavor it's not my most favorite but I mean I'm all for the texture.
So this is teh. So this basically includes condensed milk. I specifically asked for
which is less sweet or less sugar. Let's try. Less sweet.
I love the taste of the tea. Notice the difference of buying teh from a Chinese stall
compared to an Indian Malay stall because I think in an Indian Malay stall they use
tea powder but if you buy in the Chinese stalls it's a little different, a little bit floral.
Just distinguish them from the taste. The floral notes compared to the stronger, deep,
robust tea powder from the Malay Indian stalls but both are nice. It just depends on your mood.
Like if I'm eating prata it's really nice with some teh tarik which is pulled tea as well.
Nice and hot.
