Hello, my name is Desislava Ruseva, I'm 28 years old, I'm from Veliko Tarnovo. I like to draw since I was a child. In high school I participated in a number of competitions. After I finished high school, I decided to enroll in the University of Tarnovo with a specialization in drawing. I like painting. I mostly draw nature, landscapes, but I also have a passion for historical painting. My work depicts the Gospel of St. John the Baptist, which he ordered at the end of the 14th century by the monk Simeon. This is a religious tablet, which was used by the royal family and contains a number of illustrations, which are quite beautiful in their time, and to this day are admired by those who look at them. How long have you been doing this? About two months. Where did you get your inspiration from? It happened to me, actually, just for this scene. Since the competition for the Bulgarian alphabet is emblematic of the Bulgarian alphabet, and since we are dedicated to the brothers Kirill and Methodius, to Tsar Simeon, I thought that most likely there would be some of these scenes, but when I read a little more about the period, I liked the Gospel of Tsar Alexander the Great the most. Why did you decide to participate in the competition? Well, because I found it exciting, something new, I decided to try it. For now, this is my first participation. I really like the exhibition, it is very rich, it is one of my favorites. Do you think it is important to have such events? Yes, I think it is very nice. I like it when the expression of the artists is shown. And what would you like to wish to our audience? I would like them to see the exhibition of the Bulgarian alphabet, to visit the historical park, and to make a wonderful memory of it.
