I've got some grants everyone can apply for worth between $5,000 to $25,000 that you can get. You heard that right. This is free money. Oh, you thought grants weren't free money? It is. Grants are free money. It's money you do not have to pay back. Now, let's talk about these grants and how you can get your hands on them because they're incredible. First off, let's talk about Hello Alice and NAACP and always be on the lookout for new opportunities to help you launch and grow your business. That's where they come in. Now, these guys or gals offer expert advice for your business questions and host a community of fellow business owners to collaborate with and hear you on. What's better than having people go root for you, right? To win. Today, I'm going to guide you step by step on how to apply for the $5,000 grant. Have you heard about the NAACP and Leslie Certified Boost Grants? These are designed to help entrepreneurs obtain essential business certifications that facilitate network business connections and partnerships with large corporations and organizations. Large corporations have mandates to work with smaller companies and governments, and that's why you definitely want to tap into this network. The $5,000 grant will be awarded to a deserving entrepreneur to support small business in both rural areas, that's smaller communities, and across five different states. So a lot of grants. These grants focus on business led by people of color, women, and people with disabilities or businesses located in historic underutilized business zones, which is probably somewhere in your area. Specifically, they target businesses in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Now, as somebody who's white, able-bodied, upper middle class man who does not live in any of these states, you're probably thinking, I have no business talking about this grant, but that's exactly why I'm talking about it. It's for you, silly goose. Just go get this money. Believe me, there's so much money out there in grants, wondering where you can use this grant money. The program will be awarded to 17 one-time grants of $5,000. Now, recipients can use the funds for costs related to completely state and federal applications and certifications, including legal and counseling fees. If you need those consulting fees, like paying somebody to do all the paperwork for you. Now, obviously, you can't use the funds for personal expenses, loans, marketing, sales, payroll, or fixed assets. These are small business grants. Now, starting a new business or growing an existing one can be challenging, especially when it comes to finding funding. I know some of this might seem a little complicated. It's not. It's just, you know, you got a few things you can't use it for. But what you can use it for, I guarantee you're spending money on. That's where I come in. If you're unsure about the difference between a loan and a grant, here's the scoop. A loan has to be paid back. Yep, they're like, give me my money back. Usually with interest because they want to make some money while a grant does not. It's free money. And the only cost is the time that you invest in the application process. Free real estate. I'll pee my pants. There's no application fee, so you don't have to worry about losing equity or control of your company. And remember that you don't have to pay back the grant. Now, securing a grant shows that you're serious about your work and gives you a sense of prestigious boost that you've been able to do it. It also assigns to donors that you have a third party stamp of approval on your brand. Getting a grant, even though a small one could help you get investors to go, well, if they gave him money, must be okay. Grants can give you exposure and place you in the front of potential donors and partners and investors. Because guess what? Everybody who gives a grant away wants to tell everybody who they gave the grant to, which gives you exposure. Winning a grant often leads to winning more grants in the future. As a grant foundation, they can see that you pass the test before and more likely to get approved for a grant application. Yes, that's right. You can get multiple ones on this one. You can have multiples. You sure can. As many as you want. They're usually not restrictions to be eligible for these grants. Your small business must be 51% owned and controlled by an individual who's African-American and otherwise person of color. It can also be 51% controlled by a woman or a person with disabilities or located in a And guess what? If you happen to be like me, partner with somebody, get in business together, find someone who fits the category. Additionally, your business should have at least 35% of its employees living in the hub zone. Now, do you hit these requirements? If you haven't, or if you do, here's how you apply. You'll need to provide your name of the organization, your address, your city, state, zip code, contact information, email, and the amount of grant that you're requesting. Now let's talk about the NAACP PowerShift Entrepreneur Grant. This is an incredible one. This grant aims to empower black entrepreneurs and businesses with funding and resources and has significant contributed to the growth of the black business across the nation. In fact, we've had, and I'm so proud of this because I'm part of the SBA community. I'm an underwriter. We have the largest number of black applications as well as black loans, so we are doing very well in the right direction in the black community. Now black entrepreneurs, if you're rising or establishing or encouraged to apply to this PowerShift Entrepreneur Grant, it's incredible. Now select businesses will receive $25,000 grants along with resources and tools to prepare their future. Then there's the Keep It Local Business Fund, which is cool. The NAACP and the Nextdoor Kind Foundation, in partnership with HelloAlysis, award-chosen U.S. small business owners Color Microgrants. These microgrants are meant to inspire and change within communities, a true change, creating a movement of kindness, sparking similar efforts worldwide. Also Vistaprint and Boston Celtic Shamrock Foundation have launched the PowerForward small business grant in partnership with NAACP. The program, with a commitment of $1 million, aimed to economically empower black-owned small businesses across New England. Now grants of $25,000 are awarded on a rolling basis, roll in, and you can get opportunities to be featured in a national co-branded platform, which is cool. Exposure again is good. Exposure is not a bad thing. Some people go, I don't want to be exposed. Oh, I thought about getting a shirt that says exposed by YouTube. Yeah, I've been exposed.
