Club América vs Santa Fe | 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup | Group Stage

Welcome to Mexico City for tonight's CONCACAF W Champions Cup match between Club America to Vancouver, who I think they're a favorite against lots of teenagers on that roster. We are underway, though, if Ty Lubert Palacios at the spot shoot saved by Bailey rebound, Bailey has it. Wow, what a sequence there for Bailey. The starting keeper with the Panama national team at the World Cup in 2023. And she's proving why. Here comes a corner on the outswinger all alone. Just wide. Antonio had it off her body. Lubert turns to go across the goal from the spot. Bailey again, a kick save. Hernandez shot from distance. Bailey again off the rebound. Palacios controls, drives forward. Palacios to Lubert. Just wide. Momentum, though, with America. Luna takes a shot off her right foot, and that one just mishit. Blazing forward, head on a swivel, whips in a cross, and it's heavy. Mauleon Luna scores. Karen Luna, Club America leads. And it was only a matter of time. It's been a dominant half so far. And the home side up on Santa Fe. Up for Lubert again, who gets stepped on. And this should be a card. It is. Speeds forward in the box. Sarah Lubert shoots and she scores. Sarah Lubert, it's 2-0. Club America up. She had been knocking on the door this entire half. Mauleon Lubert shoots and she hits the side of the netting. We'll have highlights from this one. Motors forward, shoots, saved by Bailey. Rivas on the rebound. Here comes Club America. It's Luna, who's already scored, turns in the box. Palacios shoots, off the post and in. What a build for the Mexican club. Just barely on side. Skips to her, off her left foot. Looking for a cross, Palacios, in. Bailey nearly had it. Kiana Palacios came to play in the second half. Slides to Palacios, watches her back now. Moves it centrally, fires and it's high. Then here they come again into the box. Bailey, no second chance. Yes, Rebecca Valdez, the substitute. It's 5-0. Ahead, here comes Club America. Palacios going for three, shoots. Bailey saves. Palacios still fighting for it. Mauleon, Palacios. Rebecca Valdez, looks like it's going to be called off. Flag goes up, it would have been a brace for Valdez. A 5-0 victory for Club America over Santa Fe.
