Do I think some people were maybe over exaggerating?
Yes, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
But it's so cute.
I look quite pretty.
Oh, I've just dropped my sponge in it.
Stunning.
Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel.
If I look like a bit of a mess,
it's because I am a little bit,
and I don't know why I sat down to film this
and then got really upset,
but basically just to fill you in.
At the time that I'm filming this video,
I'm not sure when this is actually gonna go live,
but yesterday as I'm filming this,
my family lost one of our cats, Gemma,
who I have grown up with for most of my life.
I don't wanna cry again because I've just got over that,
but yeah, I sat down to film
and then got really upset and started crying,
and then I had to sit here for like 20 minutes
for my face to just go down in redness.
So I don't wanna do it again,
and I didn't wanna bring the negative energy to YouTube,
but I still wanted to film this video
because I've literally like set everything up.
I've set up my lights and like the makeup
and got myself all ready and everything,
so I still wanna film this video,
and I'm hoping that by filming it,
it will be a distraction, sort of cheer me up a bit.
Positive energy from now on.
Today, I'm gonna be trying some viral makeup,
which I've mostly seen on TikTok.
I've got a big bag of stuff here,
which I'm gonna be testing for you guys
and putting on my face and seeing what I think of it
because I think sometimes products
go viral really easily on TikTok.
A lot of the time, stuff is sort of over-exaggerated
on TikTok of people being like,
oh my God, and like super dramatic reactions.
I wanna see if this stuff is like crazy good,
or if it's just good, or if it's bad.
So let's just get into it.
The first thing that I'm actually gonna be putting
on my face is the Be Perfect Chroma Cover Matte Foundation.
I actually bought this through TikTok
on the like TikTok shop,
because usually it's 19.99.
On the TikTok shop, it was eight pounds,
which is obviously a huge reduction,
and I have actually reviewed this one over on my TikTok,
but I thought, you know,
not everybody follows me over there,
so I would include this in the YouTube video.
The rest of the stuff I've never tried before, though.
But because it is a matte foundation
and it's very, very full coverage,
I'm gonna use a bit more of a glowy primer.
So this is the Kiko Radiance Boost Serum Face Base.
So the thing is with this foundation,
it was all over my TikTok at one point,
as in I was scrolling through the For You page,
and I know that their algorithms are very good,
so they probably saw that I was engaging
with posts that had this foundation in it.
But I was very skeptical at first,
because pretty much everyone
that was reviewing the foundation
was saying it was like the best foundation ever,
and it has incredible coverage.
And then they were linking it in their TikTok shop,
and I'm by no means saying
that if you link something in your TikTok shop,
then you're like lying about the product.
I had seen such rave reviews about it.
I was like, really, can it be that good?
So I went for the shade N2,
and this is what the packaging looks like.
It's a very thick foundation, as in like, look at this.
It is thick.
It doesn't move.
I don't even think this is like
a full pump's worth of foundation,
but we're just gonna go with that amount.
But it's very thick.
Can you see as I'm applying it?
It just sort of goes on like a paste.
I will say it does oxidize a little bit,
and the shades aren't the greatest,
especially if you have fair skin.
I think this is the second shade in the collection,
and there's only one shade
that's lighter than this one, I think.
But this one's pretty dark,
and it works for me when I'm wearing fake tan,
which right now, actually, most of mine have worn off,
so I'm probably gonna have to bring it down my neck.
But just with that sort of like small amount of product,
it gives very good coverage.
And I can imagine that if you didn't moisturize
and if you used a matte primer,
this would be very matte.
However, I much prefer to use it with a glowy primer.
Then it sort of dries down matte a bit,
but the glow comes through,
and it's sort of like a satin finish, I would say.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to bring this down my neck, aren't I?
And I did do a whole wear test on this on my TikTok,
and it did last pretty well throughout the day, you know?
But do I think it is the best foundation in the world?
No, I still prefer my NARS ones.
And would I pay $19.99 for this full price?
Probably not, because I don't tend to go
for such thick foundations these days.
However, a little bit does go a long way,
so I think it would last quite a long time.
Do I think some people were maybe over-exaggerating?
Yes.
But is it a good foundation?
Yes.
It looks more glowy on camera than it is,
because I'm right next to a window,
and it's quite bright outside.
But it does sit very nicely.
I think if you were to have dry skin,
like really dry skin that was sort of flaking,
you probably wouldn't like this.
And I mean, you wouldn't go for a matte foundation
probably anyway if you had dry skin.
We have got the HNB Cosmetics
Soft Focus Airbrush Concealer.
It's got a really good shade range.
I went for the shade SF1.5W.
It reminds me a lot of the Tarte Shape Tape
kind of packaging, in terms of like the size of it,
the size of the dofer, it's got a big dofer.
But then I also have these, which are from the Beauty Crop,
and I didn't actually purchase these
through the TikTok shop.
I got them off of a different website,
which I can't remember now,
but I will leave a link down below
to where you can get these.
And this brand, called the Beauty Crop,
I have seen not only loads of people
on my For You page talking about,
but there's a particular TikToker called Amelia Olivia,
who does a lot of different makeup videos.
She loves this concealer,
and she's actually on the website
for this particular shade,
which is why I went for this one, which is 5W.
But I've got to say,
this looks like it's gonna be way too dark for me,
but hopefully the HNB one can lighten it if it fails.
And then I also went for the shade 15N,
because she said that she uses this for contour as well.
I'm not sure if she uses this particular shade,
but I went for this one.
So we're gonna try, oh wow,
I really like the dofer, it's really flexible.
Look at that dofer, it's really skinny.
You don't get very much in there.
There's 5.5 mil in this one,
whereas in the HNB Cosmetics one, you get 15 grams.
So let's go for the Beauty Corp one on this side.
Yeah, this is way too dark.
I thought I was going for the right shade.
That's such a shame.
I really thought that this was gonna be the shade for me,
but the dofer is so flexible.
It feels like you're painting it on with a little paintbrush.
Like that's actually one of the softest
and smoothest feeling applicators
I've ever used on a concealer.
It feels so nice.
Let's see how it covers some of my spots.
And we'll see what the coverage is like as well,
even if the shade is too dark.
It does have nice coverage.
I wouldn't say it's full coverage,
but then I guess it's quite hard to tell
because the shade is darker.
It's kind of making my under eyes darker than they are.
And then on my blemishes.
Okay, I wouldn't say that it's a full coverage concealer,
but it's blending beautifully and I love the feeling of it.
Like it feels a medium thickness.
It's not too thick, but it's also not sheer.
It blends really nicely
and I really wish that I got it in the other shade.
It feels very hydrating actually, which is nice.
I would definitely try that in the lighter shade.
And then let's try the HMB Cosmetics concealer
on the other side,
which is obviously gonna be a lot brighter
and I will probably brighten up the other side.
Okay, I'm literally gonna put that much
because from what I've seen, it's very full coverage.
So let's give it a go.
Okay, wow, yeah.
Just that tiny bit was enough to spread this far.
I think the Beauty Crop concealer
was either £6.50 or £7.50
and the HMB one was reduced from,
I think it was £16 to £10 on the TikTok shop.
Oh, wow.
Okay, yeah, a little goes a long way with that one.
You don't need a lot for it to brighten up your under eyes.
I'm definitely gonna have to add some to the other side
just to make them even.
But now it's freaking me out
how this side's got like way more product on it
because I've got two concealers.
Oh, well, let's just try not to think about it.
Oh, wow, yeah, it spreads really nicely actually.
Let's see how this one is on spots.
I'm gonna try it on this one.
Put a bit down my nose.
This shade is probably a bit light for my spots
but it's got really nice coverage
and it doesn't dry too quick
to the point where you can't blend it out.
It just sort of stays.
Oh, wow.
I do have a little bit of dryness
around my chin sort of area
and I can see that the concealer and the foundation
is sort of like collecting in those areas a little bit
but I actually really like both of those concealers.
They've both blended beautifully and sort of melted in.
They've not streaked or gone weird.
They're not sort of looking too dry and cakey.
The HMB one I would say has got a bit more full coverage.
It's slightly more matte
and also you get more product in this one.
This one is a bit more glowy.
It feels a little bit thinner.
So I'm gonna test this as a cream contour.
Maybe I should have got a different shade.
I wasn't 100% sure which one Emilia used for this.
So obviously just taking a tiny, tiny bit.
Yep, as you can see, a little bit goes a very long way.
So this one was supposed to be
the sort of one of the deeper neutral shades.
I think this brand in particular
could definitely do with expanding their shade range.
They didn't have tons of shades to choose from
and there were quite big jumps in between the shades.
However, I'm sure as they continue to grow as a brand,
which they definitely will
because they're getting a lot of love
on TikTok at the moment,
hopefully that means that they can then expand
their shade range.
It is working really nicely as a cream contour actually.
Well, not a cream contour,
it's more of like a cream bronzer
because it is quite warm toned
even though it's supposed to be the neutral kind of shade.
It does look beautiful though.
My skin looks really glowy.
Blend out the nose.
And then I'm just gonna blend over everything with my sponge.
That looks absolutely beautiful.
My skin looks so glowy for using that as a cream bronzer.
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
And then, oh my God, for the blush,
I got this also from the Beauty Crop,
which is the Juice Pot Lip and Cheek Tint.
How cute is this packaging?
I wish the actual bottle was in that packaging
because I don't really keep like the outer plastic stuff.
But it's so cute.
It's like a little milk carton, oh, juice carton.
And I went for the shade Lychee.
Look at that, the packaging is so cute.
No idea how pigmented it's gonna be,
so we'll start with two little dots.
Okay.
Oh my goodness, this is so pretty.
I just sounded so British.
I look quite pretty.
Okay, this is beautiful.
I love this color.
It's blended like a dream.
And everything from this brand is affordable.
Each individual thing was under a tenner.
I think most things were around
the sort of seven pound or eight pound mark.
I love this.
I love that, it's such a nice color.
Oh, how exciting.
So far, so good.
Another thing as well that goes crazy on TikTok
is obviously the Made By Mitchell blushes,
but I've tried these before in many videos.
If you've watched me for a while,
you know that the Made By Mitchell blushes,
especially the one called Peach Sugar,
that's one of my favorite blushes of all time.
And I do have some Made By Mitchell bits,
but first, we've got two powders.
And again, it's the HNB Cosmetics Soft Focus Loose Powder.
I think this was 10 pounds in the TikTok sale.
I went for the shade Translucent.
But again, they have a pretty good shade range
in the powders too.
So this is what it looks like.
And then I've also got
the Beauty Crop Vitamin Babe Setting Powder.
So on one side, I'm gonna use the Beauty Crop one.
On the other side, I'm gonna use the HNB one.
It does have a little lid,
which you sort of then can pull up
and then all of the powder is in there.
Cool.
Oh, and I went for the shade Fair One
because they did have a few.
And the HNB one just looks like this.
Let's take off the little sticky thing.
And I'm gonna use the powder puff
to press both of these in.
Let's just blend out the creases under my eyes.
Take a little bit of the powder.
Oh God, I got it in my eye.
This is the color of the Translucent,
so it is pretty fair.
Very nice, very nice.
Doesn't add any extra coverage.
It literally just sets it into place.
Ooh, that does look very smooth, actually.
Ooh, that feels really nice.
Oh, I've just dropped my sponge in it.
Well, I guess I may as well use that now.
I am noticing that a little bit,
like where if you put on a lot in one spot,
it sort of clings in that spot a little bit,
but then you just have to sort of like
stamp over it a little bit more
or buff it out a little bit more
and then it's absolutely fine.
So far, so good.
I will do a flashback test in a second.
Well, probably once I've done the rest of my makeup,
so stay tuned till the end.
That feels really smooth.
It feels nice.
It doesn't feel too heavy.
So then on the other eye,
let's do the Beauty Crop one.
Ooh, oh my goodness.
Wow, that also feels incredibly smooth.
Are these gonna be two new affordable powders
that I've fallen in love with?
I really hope so.
I'm gonna do each side with each powder,
so I'll finish it off.
Neither of them really added coverage,
which is not what they are designed to do anyway.
They're designed to set your face.
They are both very sort of soft focus powders.
They both feel very similar.
The Beauty Crop one, I think,
is a tiny bit more finely milled.
I'm actually very happy with both of those,
but we'll see if they flash back
once I've done the rest of my makeup.
Let me just add my powder, bronzer, blush, and highlight,
and I'll do my eyebrows, and then I'll be right back.
Right, so my face is looking very flat
and matte at the moment.
What I'm gonna do is see if I can revive it with this,
which, surprise, surprise,
is the Vitamin Babe Hydrating Dual Face Setting Mist
from the Beauty Crop.
It's got two layers,
so it's got this sort of oily layer at the top,
and then you give it a shake.
This hydrating fine mist instantly revitalizes
your skin's moisture with a protective barrier
and helps set and refresh your makeup look.
So I'm just gonna do a little swatch of eyeshadow,
just on my arm here,
spray my arm with it,
and see if we can set it or if it smudges.
So I've given it a good old shake,
and let's see.
The mist is so fine and lovely.
It smells really refreshing, actually,
but it's not too strong of a spray.
Then let's spray me arm.
That has really nicely sort of melted my makeup in together
and made it look a bit more skin-like,
rather than so matte.
Okay, let's see if this will smudge.
Are you ready?
Okay, yeah.
It's still got a bit there, you know?
And it does feel a little bit sticky,
but as suspected,
because it was more of like an oily hydrating mist,
it gives more of like that dewiness in the form of oil,
so it doesn't sort of like stick your makeup on.
However, I would definitely use that again
to just sort of refresh my foundation
and make me look less matte.
So this is by Made by Mitchell,
and Mitchell's brand is huge on TikTok.
And today, for my eyes, I'm gonna be using this,
which is the Made by Mitchell
Hey Swirl Friend Eyeshadow Palette.
Well, it's a pressed pigment palette,
and these, you can use them just as they are,
or you can mix them with their mixing medium.
And I actually used this in a recent shoot
that I did with my friend Bethan.
If you follow my Instagram,
you will have seen those pictures.
And I used this shade over the top of a black eyeliner,
and it was just next level.
So I'm gonna try and recreate that today,
but I'm gonna use the Swirl Solution,
which I've never used before.
It just looks like this, and it's in a squeezy tube.
It's like a really, really liquidy liquid.
I do also have the Made by Mitchell liner brush,
so I'm gonna test this as well.
It's the MC12 brush.
I'm gonna swatch them all for you,
because they are kind of out of this world beautiful.
Oh, that duochrome one
that doesn't even come across on camera,
because I don't have the right kind of lighting,
but stunning.
Oh my God, the red.
And there's like this deep sort of brownish color.
There is a silver.
And then there's my favorite,
which is the blue that's called Eclipse,
which is actually probably the most beautiful
blue eyeshadow that I think I've ever seen.
It's got a slight shift of like purple in there,
but it's so reflective.
It's just stunning.
And let's put one drop into the corner of the palette.
And then I'll take my brush,
feeling like a little chemist.
Let's see what we can do, so.
Okay, well, it's definitely working.
Okay, I said initially that this brush
is too thick for eyeliner,
but once you actually get working with it,
it does go into quite a fine point at the end,
so I have actually been able to get
a pretty precise point, which is great.
Oh, that is stunning.
So I'm gonna just take one more drop.
It's working so well, actually.
Even better than I thought it would work.
I thought maybe it would be a bit sort of like wishy-washy,
and it would be too sheer,
but it's actually working so well.
So I'm just sketching that out initially,
and then I will go back in to do a thicker layer.
So at the moment, I've done all of this
with just two drops of the mixing medium, which is good.
It doesn't dry up too quickly,
but you will definitely need more than one drop.
But I would say add it when you need it.
Don't add too much at once.
Okay, yes, that works stunningly well,
and I have not got them perfectly even,
but I love that.
That blue shade is just,
it's just such a beautiful, reflective blue shade,
and when it catches the light in certain ways,
it just looks so beautiful.
I love it.
Oh, and I forgot to say,
it does have a little mirror in there.
And also, actually, that brush worked really well.
Once it's actually wet, it goes to a,
you can't get the teeny-tiniest of lines with it,
but with this anyway, I wanted them to be a bit thicker.
I did not mean to just smudge blue liner right in a corner.
So what I would do to fix that
is go over with a bit of Starlight,
which is the silver shade.
You know what?
Let's just put a little bit of that.
It's like a wash on the lid.
You do only get five shades,
so you are pretty limited in terms of what you can do,
but they are five stunning shades.
I'm gonna chuck on a bit of mascara.
This is the Rimmel Thrillseeker,
which is another viral product,
but I've tested this before.
I'm just gonna put it on
because it's sat right in front of me.
And I do just wanna say as well,
if you don't have the mixing medium
or if you don't wanna purchase the mixing medium,
you don't necessarily need it,
because like I said, for the shoot that I did with Bethan,
I just did a black eyeliner as a base,
and then I just went in with a small brush
and added this shade over the top,
and it worked just as well.
Right, so the final thing that I'm gonna test in this video
is the Nivea Lip Oils.
Why did these go so crazy on TikTok?
I don't know.
They're literally just a Nivea lip oil.
There's a clear shade,
and then there's also a sort of rosy-toned shade.
I will show you what the pearlescent one looks like first.
Very small doe foot,
and they smell like tropical haribos or something.
They smell so sweet.
One of the things that I'm not too crazy about on these
is that it's such a small doe foot
that you have to keep sort of dipping back into it.
Feels really nice.
Oh, I've got foundation on my lips.
It does feel very nice and hydrating.
They're not sticky at all.
They just sort of like slip around on your lips,
I guess like a lip oil does,
but they feel a little bit more hydrating
than some of the lip oils that I've tried previously.
It feels really nice.
However, it's not like mind-blowing,
like some people were making them out to be.
I'm just gonna wipe off this,
and then I'm gonna take this rosy blush shade
and see if it has any more pigment.
Smells the same, like a tropical sweet.
Okay.
Oh, it comes out a bit lighter than I thought it would.
I thought it was gonna match my lip color.
Oh, it's quite a light pink.
This one is a bit lighter than I thought it would come out,
so I think it would probably end up gathering in the corners.
Yeah, I can actually see it starting to do that already.
Because it is lighter than my lips,
you know sometimes with a lighter gloss,
it can go a bit sort of like milky looking in the corners.
That's the only way I can describe it.
Sort of like it sticks there.
But it does feel really nice.
It feels very hydrating and very, very comfortable.
If they had a few more shades, then maybe I would get it.
They're nice, but they're not like,
they have not like blown my mind, you know?
I'm now gonna insert the flashback test,
and we will see if the makeup flashes back.
The results are in.
I will insert the pictures on the screen,
and from what I can tell,
they both actually photograph pretty nicely.
The Beauty Corrupt one had a tiny bit of flashback,
but nothing crazy at all.
Just in comparison to the HBN Cosmetics side,
I did notice that the Beauty Corrupt side
did look a little bit more like
there's a bit of a white cast under my eye.
But both of them look pretty good.
So everyone, that is me done.
That is me testing some recent TikTok viral makeup.
If you like this kind of style of video,
please give this a thumbs up and maybe subscribe
if you wanna see more videos like this.
If there are any other products that you want me to test,
let me know down below.
But overall, this video was kind of a success.
Some things have been a bit too overhyped on TikTok,
but don't get me wrong,
everything I tried was actually really nice.
I will leave stuff linked down below if I can find it,
but if not, then I would suggest
maybe going over to TikTok
because a lot of this stuff is available
over there on the TikTok shop,
probably for cheaper as well.
So yeah, that is me done.
This video was fun to film.
I hope you guys enjoyed it,
and I will see you guys in my next video.
Bye.
