Coach Snoop Dogg's Huge Heart Has Everyone Falling in Love | The Voice | NBC

Voice fans, Coach Snoop is here. It's going to be a fun-filled season. You better believe it. I'm so excited that Snoop is here as a coach. He's an original, you know. My idol Snoop Dogg's here. Where is he? You can't smell me? Oh there he is. You couldn't smell me? He's from Long Beach. I'm Orange County. Like even from when I remember meeting him when Rocksteady came out, we kind of have something similar weirdly. Oh what's he doing? Snoop's not just a rapper. He's a producer. He's an entrepreneur. He can do anything. I believe it was 1992 I was signed to a label called Death Row Records, right? 2024, I own the record label Death Row Records. He's created a brand within himself that's broken barriers. Like he is just Snoop. Like you don't even have to say Snoop Dogg anymore. Now that you've heard the rest, you can hear the best. Nonetheless, we could be with the S and have this laying on your chest. I think that Snoop has this way about him that people feel safe. They can sense automatically that he cares so much and that he would be a great coach. I recognize the beauty in your voice the moment you grab the microphone. I felt your passion, I felt your expression, and that's why I feel like you should be with me because I can help you get to the mountaintop. Wow. Every time I look over I'm like, oh my god, Snoop. Like I'm such a fan. It's ridiculous. Now you're right back. Why is it so fun to just say Snoop? Snoop Dogg is incredibly smart, talented. He's a genius. I mean really. While they're blowing all that smoke over there, I'm telling you the truth. The best coach is the D.O.G. I don't know what you just did, but I know that I have the munchies. I don't think it's going to surprise anybody in the audience that Snoop has a big heart. There's a reason why he has sort of transcended and become such a huge part of our culture. Is this music considered bluegrass? We like to think of it as folk pop. Okay, because I got some green grass. It's hard not to love the guy. He is genuinely excited and I think he's really honest emotionally. The best teaching is to be able to listen, to understand what you want to do. If you join my team, not only will I coach, but I'll listen. Everybody, when I say, oh Snoop's gonna be on the show, they go, oh my gosh, he is. I love him. Snoop gave him to me. I'm sweet on River, man. Gotta make sure she's taken care of. That's the queen, the diva. Snoop is a very diversified band. This industry is called show business and right now I'm the king of show and business. He's going the rap route. He's doing children's songs. He said he did it for his grandchildren, which I think is so sweet and endearing. I want to give a shout out to your parents for raising you the right way. Thank you. It shows the way you handle yourself like a professional and you have full control of the stage. Yes, sir. He's beloved everywhere and he's so friendly, so fun, so talented, but his heart is what grabbed me more than anything. Me and River have been talking about we're spirit driven, like the singer that comes out that touches my spirit is who I'm gonna hit the buzzer for. Thank you. The Voice has done a great job of finding great vocalists. I'll say that. I haven't heard anybody that sounds as good as you and I'm just being honest. Wow, thank you so much. What kind of music do you like, Snoop? I think people watching are gonna assume that anything R&B, hip-hop, anything in that lane, your ears are gonna perk up, but I'd imagine you like all kinds of talent. My musical taste goes back to the 1930s. I like real people playing music, real people singing, so I'm here to check for great musicians that want to be coached by a great guy. Wow, you guys are in trouble. I'm Snoop Dogg. I'm everything. I'm all styles of music, so when you're on my team, you get exposed to some things in the genre that you had no clue that even existed. I love country music. I mean, I've done records with Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, Hank Williams Jr. I'm just thinking like what it would look like if you was on my team. This would shake up the world. I've been produced by some of the greatest producers and I'm a great songwriter and I also produce, so taking all of those skills and then my experience with being a professional on stage touring, I'm going to give them the knowledge that they need to move on. These are some of my trophies I won through coaching. Beautiful. These are my special stars. I coach kids with special needs and autism and give them an opportunity as well, so when it comes to coaching, I know how to coach all aspects. Coaching from sports will be very effective in music because I coach my players differently. This cat's name is Sidney. Illegal use of an animal. Everyone has to be coached according to their skill level and I feel like that's the trait that I have that a lot of these other coaches don't have. This is where you need to be. Team Snoop. Quit playing, man. And if they give me permission to coach them, I treasure that, so it's starting to become a part of my life now. If you choose me, this is how many people will support you. When you're with me, you gain crowd control instantly. So, thank you NBC. Thank you The Voice for reaching out to the DLW. I'm having a blast. You're gonna have to go with Snoop. I'm gonna have to pick Snoop. My choice is Snoop. Very nice, very nice. Look at that smile. Hey man, I'm genuinely happy, man. Y'all didn't tell me the show was gonna be this fun. I'll see you people tomorrow. Thank you so much for a great three or four days to start off. I'm having fun. Appreciate y'all. Team Snoop. Team Snoop. Team Snoop. My team gotta learn how to dance too. You can't be on my team. That's one of the traits I'm looking for. You gotta learn how to dance if you're gonna be on my team.
