Nicole Kidman: The Puppy Interview

Oh my gosh, you're kidding. This is ridiculous. See, they love me. I'm Nicole Kidman, here with BuzzFeed. And today, I get to play with a puppy. I'm very excited. Where are they? Bring them in, please. What? There you go, puppy. How old are they? Eight weeks? Oh, don't. Are they up for adoption? Oh no. Eight weeks old, everyone. Eight weeks old. I'm in mother mode. I'm in caring mode. Well, I have to call my husband and see if I can bring any home. Wait till my kids see this. It was just so much fun. You're kidding. Repeat the question. Just working with the ensemble cast, every single actor in it is so good. And we got to spend so much time together and be together. And that's the joy, you know, when you're in an ensemble and everybody's there to work, contribute, and also there's a sense of play. They smell so good. No, that's it. Aren't they lovely? You like the black lace? See, they love me. I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect couple. Do you? Right? There's no such thing. You don't want to bite my toe. Wow, they're all pretty difficult. The last one that I did, Baby Girl, was difficult, but also incredibly exhilarating. But they're all so fun. I'm so lucky to have the job that I have. This one, this is a role right now. Uh-oh, come here. Uh-oh, come back. I've taken sometimes some of the costumes. How big will they get? 10 pounds, that's it? I could have all of them. A lot of the dresses that I've worn on the red carpet I've gotten to keep, and so I have an extraordinary collection. This one's like, don't answer the question, pay attention to me. And so I have this incredible collection of, because that's the thing you want, is the clothes that you wear on the red carpet. So I have a lot of the gowns that I've worn. I love the Lover album, probably my favorite album, but I'm always surprised when you go into her deep cuts. They're all so good. My husband, actually, she was on tour when she was really young with Keith. Yeah, yeah, because we listened to a love story and I remember just thinking, she's just gonna be huge. And the rest is history. I just think what's so interesting, because I love Cornelia Street, I love some, you know, there's so many. There's just, you can't choose one, right? But I do love the Lover album. And that's like, ask, no, I can't do that. That's like, choose which puppy? All of them. Practical magic too. My family, I always travel with my pillow. It's like a blankie for me. Chicken nuggets. I also like a thick shake. Chocolate. I like shite, which is Scottish. I can blow smoke rings. Yeah, probably not appropriate anymore. I travel. I just love to travel. Machu Picchu. I've been a lot of places, so no, I don't have a favorite. But we did just film Night Perfect Strangers in Germany and in the Austrian Alps, and that's gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. They're all sleeping. I've jumped out of planes. I've scuba dived at night. And that was all for fun. Terrifying and exhilarating and amazing. I take a hot bath, always, after a long day. I've kind of put it out there that I'd love to do horror. Terrifying horror. Are we done? I gotta take some photos and ask questions whether I can bring one of these home. We've got the number and everything at the rescue. Okay. Priorities here.
